Chapter 4: Professor Mcgonagall's Visit
Chapter 4: Professor Mcgonagall's Visit
...
Free from the distractions of work and the worries of school, he had a lot of time to focus on physical training in this life.
In his previous life, he had always been interested in martial arts. As a child, he could play with a stick for hours, thinking he was a world-class master.
As he grew older, he fell in love with Jeet Kune Do after watching Bruce Lee's movies. He even used his pocket money to buy a Jeet Kune Do manual and practiced it in secret.
In college, he joined a martial arts club and received more formal training, even representing the club in competitions and winning awards.
However, after graduation, his busy work life caused him to neglect his training.
Reborn in this life, free from the pressures of daily life, he started exercising early and built the lean, muscular body he has now.
While he might not be able to take on the armed robbers on the school bus, he had no trouble dealing with these teenagers, who were only thirteen or fourteen years old.
Moreover, since he was infused with a Wizard Bloodline, he felt that his body had undergone some wondrous changes.
It wasn't that his strength or speed had increased, but rather that his essence of life had been elevated.
Wizards' physical strength might not be much stronger than ordinary people, but their bodies were incredibly resilient.
Losing limbs or breaking bones was a common occurrence, but as long as they didn't die immediately, they could hold on until magical spells and potions could restore them.
"Oh, what's this idiot doing? Does he think he can beat us just by taking off his clothes!"
The Fat Leader sneered.
"I think his little body wants to have a close encounter with my fist!"
Another boy showed off his Sandbag Fist with a sinister grin, then punched at Jerry's stomach.
Jerry sidestepped to avoid the attack and kicked the boy in the waist with lightning speed. Just one kick sent him sprawling to the ground.
"Take that!"
Without pausing, Jerry followed up with a swift back kick, striking the face of the other boy who was still dazed, swiftly taking him down as well.
Although Jerry was only eleven, his muscles were much stronger than those of the thirteen or fourteen-year-old boys.
Moreover, years of rigorous Jeet Kune Do training had made his techniques incredibly proficient, surpassing even his college competition days.
These bullies, who only knew how to pick on the weak, were no match for him.
Seeing his two underlings screaming and lying on the ground, the Fat Leader roared and charged at Jerry.
He was a head taller than Jerry and more than twice his size. He was confident that if he could ram into Jerry and follow up with a Mountain Press, Jerry would be immobilized.
"Too naive!"
Facing the charging Fat Leader, Jerry sneered, not bothering to dodge. Instead, he stepped forward, cut into the Fat Leader's centerline, took a deep breath, and executed a powerful sequence: right foot planting, twisting his waist, thrusting his hips, aligning his shoulders, and delivering a punch.
The explosive force of the punch hit the Fat Leader's abdomen, sending him flying back two meters and landing on his butt.
The other orphans watching were stunned as they saw the orphanage Triad, who were usually so terrifying, lying on the ground, howling in pain, at the hands of the usually quiet Jerry.
They never imagined that the fearsome Triad would meet such a fate, nor did they expect Jerry to be so formidable.
"Are you waiting for something? If you have a grudge, take your revenge now!"
Jerry put his clothes back on and reminded the other orphans, who were still in a daze.
He had taken off his clothes just to avoid getting them dirty. After all, Professor Mcgonagall was coming for a home visit soon, and he couldn't show up covered in dust.
However, he had somewhat overestimated the three boys.
Three boys who derived pleasure and psychological comfort from bullying the weak had no real backbone. One hit from Jerry, and they were already crying in pain on the ground, too afraid to continue fighting.
If the three boys had been a bit more resilient and had endured the pain to attack him together, Jerry would have had a harder time.
Hearing Jerry's reminder, the orphans, who were used to being bullied, suddenly brightened up. They exchanged glances and began to cautiously approach the three boys on the ground, then—
Watching the three boys being pummeled by the orphans, Jerry couldn't help but remark:
"Unity is strength indeed!"
Jerry had held back a bit when he struck them. With their somewhat chubby bodies, the three boys shouldn't be seriously injured.
However, they were no match for the dozens of orphans surrounding them. They were soon covered in bumps and bruises.
Individually, a few orphans wouldn't stand a chance against the three boys, but with dozens of them working together, even the older and stronger boys couldn't win.
Once the fear inside you is broken, you realize that the seemingly invincible bullies are not so formidable after all.
When Jerry quickly defeated the Orphanage Triad, the orphans' fear of the Triad was largely dispelled.
After this round of beating, they would likely no longer fear the Triad, even if Jerry wasn't around.
"Looks like I've earned some Little Red Stars!"
After putting his clothes back on, Jerry opened his Panel and was surprised to see the number of Little Red Stars increase from 1000 to 1005.
He had thought that Little Red Stars could only be earned in the Main World, but it turned out he could earn them in the Mini World as well.
This was a pleasant surprise. At least he had another world where he could earn Little Red Stars.
Closing the Panel, Jerry glanced toward the school gate and noticed a tabby cat perched on the wall, observing something.
"Is that Professor Mcgonagall in cat form?"
Jerry pretended to be nonchalant, turned his head, and called out to the orphans:
"Alright, stop now!"
The orphans immediately ceased their beating. They had great respect for Jerry, who had easily defeated the three boys.
"Fighting is wrong, but when faced with bullying and injustice, we must have the courage to stand up for ourselves.
Courage is our most precious quality. I hope you will all be braver in the future."
The orphans, though not fully understanding, nodded in agreement.
Jerry smiled and then turned to the three bruised and battered boys:
"You've been taking advantage of your age to bully the younger orphans. Today's a lesson for you.
We are all orphans. If you acknowledge your mistakes and change, we will still accept you. Understand?"
Seeing Jerry's dangerous gaze, the three boys, now bruised and battered, quickly replied:
"Yes, yes, we understand!"
