Chapter 395: Experience Points Shop
“Experience Points Shop?”
“What the hell is that?”
“Spending Experience Points lets you trade for Skill Proficiencies, Combat Techniques—even Spells?”
In the plaza of Northwind Keep, Players jostled around the Kingdom of Ashen’s公告 board, buzzing with chaotic chatter.
“Who the hell brought the Two-Headed Dragon here?”
“Dude, what is this?”
“Stuffed Bun, you old thief, get off me!”
“Seriously, this is cheating! Go to the back of the line!”
“Cheating? I’m a Peacekeeper—my job is to keep solo players from causing chaos. That’s responsibility, okay?”
“Let me see, let me see!”
Stuffed Bun tugged on Noodles, the Wyvern’s massive frame forcing its way through the crowd, parting the throng like a stormfront. He carved a path through the mob with effortless dominance.
“Experience Points Shop.”
“Looks promising.”
Stuffed Bun rubbed his chin in thought—only to be yanked up by a burly man behind him.
“Move it, you’re blocking!”
“Damn it!”
“Nice work!”
The crowd erupted in cheers.
The Public Test Version’s Level Cap was eight, and most Common Players were still stuck below level four, with some casual Newcomers barely past level two. But among the elite Noble Houses’ mainstays and professional Solo Players, many were already nearing that threshold.
And with the next major version update still uncertain in timing, there’d be a significant surplus of Experience Points (XP) by then.
Currently, Experience Points Shops were open at:
- Tower of the Great Wise One
- Red Scales Garrison
- Imperial Military Training Grounds
- Wasteland Shooting Range
- Lizardman Wasteland Hunting Grounds
These locations offered access to Skill Proficiencies like Spellcasting, Horsemanship, Military Tactics, Hunting, and Leadership, along with a wide array of Combat Arts—and even limited browsing rights to the Imperial Great Library’s archives.
But there was one hard requirement: players had to be Imperial Subjects with a certain Dragon Bloodline.
“There’s gotta be a hardcore Guide for this new system,” Stuffed Bun muttered, opening the Forum.
Sure enough, several Guides were already posted.
By the time Stuffed Bun heard the news, Singo had already scouted every open Experience Points Shop and compiled a detailed guide—his speed was staggering.
“Experience Points Shop Guide (Beginner’s Guide)”
“In Ailezegai, leveling up is obviously important. But for early-game newcomers, using the Experience Points Shop to unlock abilities might be the fastest way to get ahead.”
“Even if you’re a level four Warrior with high base stats and skills, you’ll still struggle to perform without proper Combat Techniques.”
“Meanwhile, Proficiencies like Swordsmanship, Horsemanship, and Athletics at the Imperial Military Training Grounds can deliver massive benefits. With smart choices, just 1,000 XP can give you more edge than leveling up alone.”
“Also, if you’re a Casual Player, I’d recommend heading straight to places like the Northwind Keep Technical Research Institute. Learning a craft—Artisan Craftsmanship, Armor Forging, or Potion Brewing—can generate solid income, enough to live comfortably.”
Stuffed Bun nodded.
Even though this guy was a little unhinged, his Game Guide knowledge was solid—trustworthy, at least.
But these threads were clearly aimed at newcomers and casual players.
For someone like Stuffed Bun—holding the Crimson Scale Conqueror advancement and having actually drunk Dragon Blood Elixir—this stuff was old news.
He scrolled down.
And there it was—a new thread.
“Experience Points Shop Guide (Advanced Guide)”
“With the current level cap at eight, any semi-professional player should already be maxed out. For reference, I’ve accumulated 4,500 surplus Experience Points.”
Stuffed Bun silently spat.
“Damn, even writing a guide, he’s gotta flex. No redeeming qualities.”
He glanced sideways at his own Character Sheet.
Level 7 (28,800 / 34,000 XP)
“Huh. That can’t be right.”
“Where the hell did he get that many XP?”
Stuffed Bun was certain he’d been grinding hard.
Back in the war, he’d ridden his Wyvern across the Northern Kingdoms, diving into enemy lines countless times. Conservatively, he’d slaughtered hundreds of Northern Regions soldiers.
Just three days ago, he’d taken a quest to eradicate bandits—burned their hideout to the ground in the forest. And of course, he’d kept all the loot for himself.
“Damn it, it must be the Viscount’s perks,” he grumbled.
He had attended that spectacle of a Coronation Ceremony—but only earned a Baron’s Noble Rank. Singo still outshone him.
He’d enjoyed Faction Contributions, Gold Rations, even spent most of his savings buying Claudew Noirikexius Armaments stock—now collecting steady dividends every month.
Stuffed Bun kept reading.
“Based on the time since the last Internal Test, the next major update might not come for another year. That window? That’s our golden opportunity to pull ahead.”
“The game now has over 110,000 players—and that number keeps growing. To secure the best resources, we must outpace everyone else.”
“Don’t be stingy with your Experience Points. Don’t hoard them for the next version—because XP depreciates over time.”
“Five thousand XP in the Internal Test was astronomical. Now? It’s just a few side quests.”
“XP is useless if you don’t spend it. Use it early. Use it often. Get the benefits now.”
“Next, I’ll list recommended Experience Points Shop purchases for major classes.”
“By the way—recently unlocked Tower of Wicked Flame offers the Faction Subclass Dragon Oath Mage, a very powerful spellcaster class. But its Class Advancement Quest is brutally difficult. Weigh your options carefully.”
“For Crimson Scale Conqueror, focus on: Horsemanship, Lance Technique, Reconnaissance, and Archery. Aim to push Horsemanship above 10—trust me, the difference is huge.”
“For Dragon-Bound Holy Knight: prioritize Swordsmanship, Shield Technique, Military Tactics, and Athletics.”
“Also—get an Emperor’s Portrait for your home. Every morning, before you even open your eyes, salute it and shout ‘Loyalty!’ Rumor has it, high Faith Level gives a bonus to Dragon Oath Spells.”
“Honestly… hardcore players’ guides do pack real value.”
Stuffed Bun finished reading, jotting down key points relevant to his Crimson Scale Conqueror build. He patted Noodles’ neck.
“Noodles, let’s go!”
The Wyvern lowered its head instantly, letting Stuffed Bun mount.
“Rrrraaahh—”
Noodles let out a guttural roar, wings flaring, and soared into the sky—leaving a trail of envy and awe from the crowd of new players below—flying with unshakable confidence toward the Red Scales Garrison.
