The Clow Cards created by Clow Read are based on the principles of light and dark. The card representing light, the Sun, is Cerberus, also known as Kero. The card representing dark, the Moon, is Yue, also known as Yue Tsukishiro.
The subordinate card of light is the Light Clow Card, and the subordinate card of dark is the Dark Clow Card.
Light oversees the elements of Earth and Fire, while Dark oversees the elements of Wind and Water.
Kero's power source is Earth and Fire. Only by capturing these two Clow Cards can Kero restore to his true form, becoming the renowned guardian of the Clow Cards, Cerberus, rather than a small-winged stuffed toy.
