Chapter 387: I'll Call Myself the Strongest
Chapter 387: I'll Call Myself the Strongest
"You bastard!"
Yuki glared at Kuro with gritted teeth.
The moment Kuro attacked, the air around him seemed to freeze solid, leaving Yuki momentarily paralyzed.
He could've broken through, but it would've been too late. If he'd charged recklessly, he'd definitely have been struck by that Black Gun descending from the heavens.
"King! Lei Jiu senior sister! Yiji big brother! Niji second brother! Let's attack together!" Yuki shouted over his shoulder.
"Agreed. Let's finish him off together!"
Gajeel nodded. His spear crackled with lightning as he stomped forward, launching himself skyward. "Let's go!"
The others followed suit, jets of energy blasting from their feet as they surged toward Kuro.
Yiji and Niji's fists swirled with red and blue energy, while Yuki's gathered a pale green aura, condensing into a single point.
"Electromagnetic Spear!"
Gajeel struck first, his spear blazing with golden electricity as he rocketed forward.
Lei Jiu sighed softly, circling behind Kuro. Her palm pressed beneath her lips, she spat a pink venom arrow upward.
"Pink Venom Arrow!"
After releasing the venom, she twisted backward, moving behind Kuro. With one hand, she gathered a massive amount of venom and lunged toward him.
"Multicolored Barrage!"
The three brothers' energies merged into a chaotic three-colored mass, roaring downward toward Kuro.
Every direction—up, down, front, back—was sealed off.
There was no escape.
The attacks struck simultaneously.
Gajeel's spear from below, the venom arrow from below, the venomous hand from behind, and the three-colored energy mass from above—all converged on Kuro in an instant.
Boom!!!
A dazzling explosion erupted, sending a shockwave rippling through the air with a deafening roar.
"Got him!"
Gajeel's confident smirk emerged as the light faded.
He saw it clearly—Navy hadn't reacted in time during the attack. Kuro must've been reduced to pulp by now.
But as Gajeel lifted his head, his smile froze. The figure before him still stood, its form rippling like a mirage.
"That was scary", a voice murmured from behind them.
The words made everyone whirl around. There stood Kuro, while the Navy figure before them dissolved like a ripple in water.
"Such destructive power. Good thing I dodged quickly", Kuro said, pouting slightly with exaggerated surprise.
"So, for the first time in a while... I'll use my ability."
He stretched his hand wide, five fingers splayed, then clenched downward.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
The sky darkened further, and the gathered shadows above rained down in a dense barrage.
Gajeel shattered a descending boulder with his spear, shards flying as he roared, "Just falling debris! Smash it!"
No need for commands, the three brothers retaliated fiercely. They shattered weapons, destroyed ships—augmented by their Battle Suits, the falling objects were mere targets to them.
"Just looks oppressive", Lei Jiu scoffed, punching a descending blade into fragments. She called out to Kuro, "These guys were genetically enhanced from childhood. Their strength and defensive power are immense. Combined with Battle Suits, they can handle this bombardment easily. Navy Brother, if you're so fast, why not run? We won't chase you, I promise."
"Oh~ Impressive indeed."
Kuro chuckled, clenching his fist again. "Then let's try again?"
Bang!
A Black Gun collided with Yuki's fist, shattering on impact, but his arm visibly trembled.
Bang!
Another boulder fell. This time, he didn't raise the same arm but countered with his other hand, destroying the rock. Yet his injured arm still quivered.
His punching speed couldn't keep up with the falling objects!
Three Black Guns descended suddenly. Before Yuki could swing, they struck his chest, dragging him downward. He crashed into the ground with a thunderous boom, creating a massive crater. The three Black Guns pinned his chest, but his defense held.
"Tch, the Battle Suit's durability is decent. Their defensive power's as you said—impressive", Kuro said, watching Yuki's muffled grunt and lack of serious injury. "But... how long can they last?"
Bang! Bang! Bang!
As he spoke, the Vinsmoke members—previously deflecting the barrage—slowed, overwhelmed by sheer numbers. One by one, they were struck, crashing into the ground, creating craters.
"See? They can't hold up. Quantity is justice! If the power isn't enough, numbers make up for it. You can't outlast me in a war of attrition."
Kuro grinned, looking down.
"Kuh!"
Gajeel, the only one not genetically enhanced, shoved a boulder off himself, coughing blood. Leaning on his spear, he glared at Kuro. "What the hell do you want?!"
"Didn't I say? Give me an explanation for the 'disappeared Navy'!" Kuro loomed over him, fingers pressing slightly. The sky's "darkness accumulation" deepened.
"King, that attack's power intensified!"
Yuki stood, twisting his wrists. "Fighting back feels numb now."
"Tch."
Gajeel glanced at the darkening sky. "I told you, I have nothing to do with this! You're looking in the wrong place!"
"Really?"
Kuro's finger pressed. "Then let's continue."
He wasn't Yi Xiao, who could pull objects down with gravity. Kuro's ability focused on precise projection—controlling direction, relying on the sheer force of high-altitude freefall.
The objects' destructive power came from their mass and weight. Hence, Kuro preferred using island continents or seawater.
But even so, he could amplify the damage.
Using his ability, he added sky-elemental rotation to each falling object, enhancing their impact.
That's why their arms felt numb when fighting back.
But only numb.
Vinsmoke was Vinsmoke—the top family of North Blue. They weren't weak.
Kuro had tested this. A single Black Gun could obliterate a pirate ship, but against these people, it merely slowed their punches.
Truly, they couldn't be underestimated.
For Kuro now, maintaining floating objects required no physical strength. The energy once used for levitation was redirected here.
In micro-control, Kuro dared to call himself the Strongest.
