Chapter 386: Feng Ye: Do I Look Like a Pervert?
Chapter 386: Feng Ye: Do I Look Like a Pervert?
Feng Ye's ship was a medium-sized, three-story vessel.
The bottom level was a cargo hold, while the middle level featured a kitchen, bathroom, a spacious living room, a small study, and a bedroom.
The top level housed the bedrooms, with a total of five rooms. Robin's room was located closest to the stairs, while Feng Ye occupied the sole bedroom on the second floor.
"That's the master's bedroom, and he's probably resting now, so keep your voices down," Robin said as she gave Hancock and the others a brief tour of the ship. "Most of the time, the master will be reading in the living room or study. We are not to disturb him while he reads. Even if you need to use the bathroom, keep the noise to a minimum unless he speaks to you first."
As she spoke, Robin led Hancock up to the third level.
Hancock followed behind Robin, her gaze occasionally drifting towards Feng Ye's bedroom. The awe-inspiring display of power Feng Ye had shown in the Holy Land, leveling Marineford, still lingered in her mind, making him seem like an untouchable deity. But now, being on this ship, she felt a starkly different emotion.
The living room, the bedroom, reading books...
These mundane habits, coupled with Feng Ye's constant gentle smile, echoed in her mind, making the distant, unbridgeable gap she felt before seem to shrink.
This newfound closeness stirred subtle changes within Hancock's heart. Her initial pure admiration and reverence for Feng Ye now evolved into a curiosity about his daily life, which seemed no different from that of a regular human.
"This is my room. If there's anything you need, feel free to come to me first." Robin pointed to her room, then gestured to the other bedrooms. "Since I didn't expect any other guests, there's only one spare room with a bed prepared. But I have an extra set of bedding, so we can set up another room. You three will have to squeeze into two rooms for now."
Sunda and Sonjia nodded obediently. "Thanks for your help. We don't mind."
Just then, the door to the sole bedroom on the second level opened, and Feng Ye stepped out, closing the door behind him. He carried a book in his hand and walked towards the sofa in the living room.
As he walked, he glanced up at the second floor, noticing that Hancock had changed into one of Robin's white blouses. Her long, black hair, previously matted with dirt from her captivity, now hung smoothly over her shoulders, still damp from washing.
The white blouse clung to her twelve-year-old frame, accentuating the subtle curves of her budding figure.
"No need to be too nervous," Feng Ye said with a soft smile, noticing the tension in Hancock and her sisters. "I don't bite. Just heed Robin's instructions, and don't worry too much about following a strict set of rules."
Hancock's nervousness melted away, replaced by a dazed expression as she stared at Feng Ye, her bright eyes sparkling.
So...
So gentle...
"The master is a very gentle person and doesn't usually mind much," Robin added from the side. "But precisely because of that, try not to trouble him with unnecessary things."
With that, Robin led Hancock and Mary to the two bedrooms at the back, each containing a stack of bedding that had yet to be made.
She looked at Feng Ye sitting on the sofa, a hint of strangeness in her eyes.
While it was true that Feng Ye was usually gentle, the fact that he not only rescued some slaves from the Holy Land but also offered to take them on board suggested a level of kindness that Robin, who was more familiar with his character, found surprising.
So...
Could it be that Feng Ye had a thing for young girls, as mentioned in the books?
"Is there something on my face?"
Feng Ye noticed Robin's gaze and lifted his eyes from his book, looking at her with a slight smile. "No, nothing... I was just wondering why you're being so considerate to them. Is there something special about them?"
Robin quickly averted her gaze and shook her head. "No, it's just... I was thinking that perhaps you have a soft spot for them. I don't find it off-putting, though. In fact, it makes you seem more human. A lofty deity wouldn't have such emotions."
Every aspect of Feng Ye, from his strength to his demeanor, screamed of a divine being from legends. Yet, these glimpses of humanity made him more approachable, and Robin couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth. She was even a little pleased that there was something about her that Feng Ye liked, though she knew that with time, she would grow older and eventually age out of the phase that Feng Ye seemed to favor.
"..."
Feng Ye glanced at Robin, sensing that she had somehow misinterpreted his intentions. However, since she didn't plan on voicing her thoughts, he decided not to press the matter further. "I saw their future, and it's something worth admiring and looking forward to."
Upon hearing Feng Ye's words, Robin tilted her head in curiosity. "Is that so?"
Feng Ye huffed in mild annoyance. "What else could it be? Do you think I'm some sort of pervert who's eyeing a twelve-year-old girl's body and planning to take advantage of her, which is why I offered to give Hancock a ride?"
"Do I look like a pervert to you?!" he added, exasperated. "Why do these young girls always jump to such wild and unruly conclusions? Robin, I think you've been reading too much, to the point where an eleven-year-old like you already has the life experience of someone much older!"
Robin's words gave Feng Ye pause as he recalled the future visions he had seen earlier, his gaze drifting upstairs.
"Hancock, come down for a moment. I need to ask you something."
Hearing Feng Ye's voice, Hancock, who was in the room, quickly put down what she was holding and left the room.
She descended the stairs and stood before Feng Ye in the living room, her eyes falling on his gem-like orbs, a mix of tension and curiosity in her expression. "Yes? What is it that you wish to ask?"
"You probably don't have the Eternal Pose or a Vivre Card for Snake Sisters Island, but you should still have a general idea of its location, right? If I'm going to send you back, I'll need to know the approximate area."
As Feng Ye spoke, he took out a map and spread it out on the table.
Hancock froze for a moment, a strange feeling washing over her.
In that brief moment, she realized what had struck her as odd—Feng Ye had just called her by her name, yet she didn't recall ever telling him her name or her story. And now, he was even mentioning Snake Sisters Island!
"Y-You know who I am?! How?!" Hancock asked, her eyes widening in surprise.
Feng Ye smiled gently. "It's not important."
