Chapter 380: Tina Garcia is Summoned
Chapter 380: Tina Garcia is Summoned
Morning Star stared at the video for a long time, her eyes wide with disbelief. "I never thought he would be the one to obtain the Ultra-Artifact!"
"Hmm, I think it was a mix of luck and inevitability," Su Yu mused, stroking his chin. "After all, Chancellor Ts'ao was the one who broke the seal on the Ultra-Artifact. He might have had some inherent advantage in obtaining it. So it’s not surprising that he got it."
"Then do you think he can escape the pursuit of ten god-level Warriors?" Morning Star asked.
"Who knows?" Su Yu shook his head with a wry smile. "The video is too short, and we don’t have enough information. All we can do is wish Chancellor Ts'ao good luck."
Su Yu glanced at the green pendant hanging from his neck. "The spatial portal has been open for two and a half days and will close in half a day. I hope Chancellor Ts'ao can take advantage of this last half-day and return to Blue Earth safely."
Morning Star nuzzled her head against Su Yu’s neck. "We need to hurry too! Let’s take out that Speaker as quickly as possible so we can go back and have some roasted fish at Washington Boulevard!"
"Deal," Su Yu nodded, and with Morning Star in tow, he quickly flew out of the forest.
Twenty Minutes Later: News Conference Hall, West City Speaker’s Mansion
Su Yu had already infiltrated the conference hall five minutes earlier. However, he didn’t reveal himself just yet. Instead, he took out the Tina Garcia Summoning Scroll and activated it with his magic.
Su Yu knew without a doubt that Speaker Cass would have powerful psychic artifacts for self-defense. Therefore, he decided to summon Tina first to help absorb the initial attacks.
The news conference was still in progress.
Speaker Cass (6th Rank) sat at the center of the dais, flanked by Intelligence Minister Sheldon (6th Rank), Secretary of State Ray (5th Rank, Peak), and Deputy Speaker Gordon (5th Rank, Peak).
The blinding flashes of cameras went off continuously below the dais.
Most of the high-ranking officials in Runkte’s government were representatives of powerful families, serving to protect the interests of their respective clans. Thus, their strength was often not at the absolute peak; having 5th or 6th Rank power was enough to hold the highest government positions.
This was different from the Solar Empire, which was a monarchy. The emperor and the heads of other noble families typically needed to reach 7th Rank or higher to be part of the core of national power.
Because of this, Speaker Cass always felt somewhat lacking in confidence when speaking with the Solar Empire’s emperor, Manila XIII.
The news conference was now halfway through, and Cass had already explained the events that occurred on the Wasteland Continent in detail.
In conclusion, he added, "We, the human race, already have six god-level Warriors on the Wasteland Continent, and we are determined to obtain this Ultra-Artifact!"
"As the ‘lords of all beings,’ the Skrull humans are the most qualified to possess this Ultra-Artifact. Therefore, I urge the sea race, beast race, and plant race friends to recognize the gap between us and avoid unnecessary trouble."
Since Cass had been busy with the news conference, he was unaware that the competition for the Ultra-Artifact had already concluded. His focus was still on the struggle between human and non-human races for the artifact.
He was holding the press conference to pressure other races and ensure that the Skrull humans could secure the Ultra-Artifact.
As for how to distribute the Ultra-Artifact once it was obtained, that would be decided later.
Clap, clap, clap!
The audience erupted into enthusiastic applause as Cass finished his speech.
The host stepped up to the podium and addressed the journalists below, "We will now enter the Q&A session. It will last for ten minutes. Are there any journalists who would like to ask a question?"
At the host's words, the journalists in the audience quickly raised their hands, with some even standing up from the back rows.
"Let's start with you, sir," the host pointed to a veteran journalist in the front row.
"Thank you." The journalist took the microphone and stood up, asking, "I would like to ask the Chancellor, will the emergence of the Ultra Artifact change the world's power dynamics? Will it affect our war with Blue Planet in nine months?"
The camera panned back to Chancellor Cass, who calmly responded, "It’s safe to say that the emergence of the Ultra Artifact will indeed change the world's power dynamics. Although it's just a component, it is by no means trivial. Whoever obtains the Ultra Artifact component will undoubtedly become the strongest on the continent. This is why the god-tier powerhouses have gathered in the Wildlands."
"Regarding the impact on the war with Blue Planet, I don’t see any immediate effects. Even in the worst-case scenario, if the Ultra Artifact component falls into the hands of another race’s powerhouses, our offensive against Blue Planet is still inevitable. If any changes arise in the future, I will inform everyone promptly. Next question, please."
The microphone was passed to the next journalist, who nervously asked, "Chancellor, what if a god-tier powerhouse from the Sunfire Empire gets the Ultra Artifact component? What should we do? And what about the mysterious ‘Number One’? Will they cause trouble?"
Chancellor Cass smiled, "The Sunfire Empire is the leading nation among our Skrull people. If they obtain the Ultra Artifact component, it would be a good thing, and I genuinely wish them the best."
"As for ‘Number One,’ you’re overestimating them. ‘Number One’ is around the Sixth Rank, and they would never dare to venture into the Wildlands to compete for the Ultra Artifact."
Before Cass could finish, a blinding golden light suddenly erupted in a corner of the press conference room.
Amid the intense glow, Tina, dressed in casual clothes, appeared in the room.
Tina looked bewildered.
She had been on a trip with her father and sister, enjoying the scenery, when she felt a powerful attraction. The scene before her eyes changed, and she found herself suddenly transported to this place.
As she arrived, a voice whispered in her ear.
It was the voice of Lady Bernina.
"Congratulations, Tina. Welcome to the Blue Planet-Skrull World. I am Bernina Tidal, your ancestor."
"Since you are a Golden Talent under the player [Nemesis]'s territory, you have been summoned to the Blue Planet-Skrull World. Here are your benefits: 1. You can use the player [Nemesis]'s game helmet as a portal to travel freely between the two worlds; 2. In the Blue Planet-Skrull World, you will have 10 resurrection opportunities. Given your current strength, each resurrection will take 144 hours, or 6 days. Once you use up all your resurrection opportunities, you will not be able to enter this world again. I hope you enjoy your time here!"
Tina felt a bit dazed.
Hearing the words of her ancestor, she realized she had been summoned to the world of Nemesis.
But what about these green-skinned humans?
And they were all looking at her with extreme hostility.
