After three days of festivities, everyone said their goodbyes and left. The Elves left behind Legolas’s squad as their envoys. From their conversations, Liam learned that following the Destruction of the One Ring, the necromancers of Dol Guldur had also vanished. This meant that the Spiders in Mirkwood would not replenish as quickly as before. They had a chance to launch a counteroffensive and reclaim what was once known as Dol Guldur, Amon Reims.
Liam expressed his willingness to join the Elves in their campaign to reclaim Dol Guldur as an ally, provided they could give him a month’s notice.
After seeing off the Elves and Dwarves, Gandalf also came to tell Liam that he was leaving Zhongtu. However, since Liam had been granted permission to visit Aman, they would have the opportunity to meet again.
At a private farewell luncheon, Gandalf handed Liam a cluster of white flames. This contained all of Gandalf’s battle memories from his two thousand years in Zhongtu, providing Liam with ample combat experience. As for Magic, the knowledge was already included in the gifts Eru Ilúvatar had given Liam.
After watching Liam absorb the cluster of flames, Gandalf smiled and presented him with the sword at his waist. The sword had a beautiful scabbard and a hilt adorned with gems, with Elvish runes etched into the blade.
"Blade of the Enemy." Recognizing the inscription from his knowledge of Elvish, Liam identified the sword.
"You know this sword? That’s excellent. When we arrived with the Dwarves, we encountered a few Ogres. We used sunlight to turn them to stone and found this sword in their lair. I thought I might need it in my future battles, but with your help, my mission in Zhongtu is complete. So I’m giving it to you, as I don’t expect to use it for a long time, but you certainly will need it." Gandalf said after hearing Liam’s exclamation.
"Thank you so much." Liam accepted the sword, grateful for the timely gift. He had been in need of a reliable weapon, and this sword came at the perfect moment. With this sword, Liam wouldn’t have to expend a powerful Magic spell and a weapon each time.
After seeing Gandalf off, Liam spent the next year at the Ruins of Rivendell, digesting the knowledge Eru Ilúvatar had bestowed upon him. He also continually exchanged letters with Beorn, who had returned to his homeland, discussing the contents of the Nymph Magic book. Liam learned from the letters that Beorn had become a leader, gathering a group known as Beorn’s People. With the help of the Plants Liam had gifted them, they secured a strong base in the Anduin Valley.
Under the guidance of the Transfiguration expert, Liam successfully completed his animal Transfiguration, transforming into a panda as large as a giant grizzly bear with extremely strong Magic defenses.
Thanks to Alchemy, Liam now had enough Life to stay in other worlds for extended periods to summarize his various gains.
A year later, the Ruins of Rivendell were fully operational. Liam handed over all his responsibilities to Bard and returned to the Gift Multiverse General Store.
The biggest gain this time was Deviation Points. By completely altering the story’s direction, he earned an unprecedented 126 Deviation Points. Additionally, acquiring a vast amount of knowledge through soul infusion and self-study cost him only 30 Deviation Points to fully master the Elves’ Magic Artifact crafting techniques.
After wrapping up his affairs in the Lord of the Rings world, Liam proceeded to handle the miscellaneous tasks in other worlds. First, he provided a batch of Alchemy Elixirs to the Plants vs. Zombies World, helping them cultivate a new batch of special Plants. Next, he attended the inauguration ceremony of the Philadelphia to Richmond Railway in the Radiation World, marking the Federation’s firm foothold in the northeastern United States. He also delivered a large batch of the requested dragon biological samples, such as Dragon Blood, dragon scales, and dragon droppings.
Finally, Liam headed to the world of A Song of Ice and Fire to handle state affairs. This world was where his influence was most deeply rooted, yet it was also the one he had visited the least, leaving a lot of matters to address. For instance, there were numerous administrative issues that required his decision, and the reception of important guests.
The most significant guest recently was Catelyn Tully, the Lady of Winterfell, who had brought her son Bran to seek medical treatment. Concerned for her children, she had also brought her younger daughters, Arya and Rickon.
After Bran's fall and attempted assassination, Catelyn had initially traveled to King's Landing to inform Eddard. However, while preparing to return to the North, she encountered Liam's merchant fleet at the pier. Upon learning that Amethyst City had a deity capable of curing all diseases, including the seemingly incurable Greyscale, she decided to bring her son to Essos for treatment.
Another factor that influenced her decision was the presence of Lyanna Mormont from Bear Island, ensuring that they would not encounter any issues. Despite this, the journey across the sea with several young children was a daunting task. Catelyn had also wanted to bring Sansa, but Sansa was deeply enamored with the court life in King's Landing and was excited about her impending engagement to the handsome Prince Joffrey. Thus, she declined her mother's request.
Upon arriving in Amethyst City, Liam and Rose Crystal were not present. However, Catelyn saw for herself that the people there could indeed cure Greyscale and other diseases considered terminal in Westeros. She settled quietly in Amethyst City, awaiting Liam's return.
Soon, they were captivated by the modern aspects of the city, especially Arya. Upon discovering that this realm allowed women the freedom to choose their careers, and even become warriors if they were strong enough, she was overjoyed and eagerly joined a professional warrior training program to learn swordsmanship, combat, and marksmanship.
"Alright, take off your clothes. I need to examine your injury." After dealing with state affairs, Liam and Rose Crystal met Catelyn and Bran at the Crystal Sanctuary. Lata and several priests were also present, observing and learning.
Bran felt shy with so many people watching, but he exposed his injured area with his mother's reassurance.
"Spinal joint comminuted fracture", Liam quickly diagnosed. Honestly, even before the Traversal, such an injury would have made it extremely difficult for the patient to walk again. However, with the help of magic, the process was much simpler.
Liam took out a syringe containing a green elixir.
