Chapter 378: Land of the Gods
Chapter 378: Land of the Gods
Mariejois.
Underground.
Feng Ye traversed from the east side to the west, circling the entire underground area. His gaze swept across the sacred grounds before he started walking towards the north side.
Directly above the north side, behind the Celestial Dragon's Gate, lay the Land of the Gods—the dwelling place of the World Nobles and the Celestial Dragons.
"Stop... Stay back..."
"This is the Land of the Gods; entry is forbidden..."
Blocking Feng Ye's path was a group of Celestial Dragon guards, clad in heavy armor, their spears pointed at Feng Ye as they spoke with quivering voices.
Beneath their armor, their foreheads were drenched in cold sweat, and as they watched Feng Ye approach, they couldn't help but back away.
Powerful!
Unmatched strength! Although they were unaware of Feng Ye's intrusion into the Marine Headquarters due to the World Government's concealment, these Celestial Dragon guards could recognize the extremely vicious criminals of the seas, and Feng Ye was undoubtedly one of them!
Earlier, a large group had rushed underground to suppress Feng Ye, but none had come close before being shaken by an invisible force, their armor shattered as they were flung in all directions. No attack seemed to have any effect!
"Land of the Gods..."
"Then it's all the more reason to take a look."
Feng Ye smiled faintly, his hands still clasped behind his back as he continued walking forward.
With each step he took, the Celestial Dragon guards retreated a step, their eyes filled with fear and trembling from beneath their helmets.
Not far behind them was a spacious staircase leading up to the Celestial Dragons' residences.
It was around this time that a large group of soldiers, each holding a firearm, poured in from the staircase. They numbered over a hundred, and they aimed their guns at Feng Ye.
"No one is allowed to pass!"
"..."
Feng Ye's expression remained indifferent as he watched this scene unfold, continuing to walk forward as if he didn't see the army gathered before him.
"Attack! Attack!! Stop him!!!"
Someone shouted orders loudly.
Then, countless bullets rained towards Feng Ye.
However, Feng Ye's movements didn't change; he continued walking forward with his hands behind his back. The bullets froze in mid-air just a few feet away from him.
Bang! Bang! Bang!!!
The bullets were deflected and shot back the way they came, instantly spraying blood.
Cries of pain echoed as numerous guards and soldiers fell to the ground.
Step, step, step...
Feng Ye didn't even glance at the now-scattered Celestial Dragon guards as he reached the spacious staircase, stepping onto it and walking upwards.
Around the same time.
At the top of the staircase, not far from the entrance, several Celestial Dragons were gathered, their faces filled with anger as they shouted at the nearby guards, "You bunch of useless fools! Why are you still standing there? Go down and catch the troublemaker immediately!!!"
One of them even pulled out a firearm, aiming it at the guards and shouting angrily, "If my slave gets away, you will take his place!"
"Ahh..."
"Calm yourself, Roswald Saint. Please leave this place quickly; it's dangerous down there..."
The guards' faces were filled with fear as they blocked the Celestial Dragons' path, their voices trembling as they tried to dissuade them.
Roswald raged, "Danger?! Are those slaves daring to offend us, the gods?!
Just then, other Celestial Dragons who had heard the commotion approached, their faces filled with curiosity.
Roswald raged, "Someone has invaded the sacred grounds and is releasing our slaves below! What is CP0 doing? What are the Marines doing?!"
"What? Someone is freeing the slaves?"
The Celestial Dragons who had been drawn by the noise froze for a moment, then flew into a rage.
"How dare they!"
"You worthless scum!"
"What are the guards doing? How could someone infiltrate this place? You're all useless! Get down there immediately and don't let my slave escape!"
Angry shouts filled the air.
The guards who were trying to block Roswald and the others from approaching the underground area were now drenched in cold sweat. Facing the Celestial Dragons, their faces contorted with fury and their guns pointed threateningly, the guards didn't dare to continue obstructing them. Instead, they turned and yelled at the top of their lungs,
"Hurry up, all of you! Go and notify CP0!"
Several dozen more guards gathered nearby and rushed down the stairs leading underground.
But just then.
As the guards charged down the stairs, they seemed to hit an invisible wall and were sent flying back the way they came, like cannonballs.
Bang! Bang!!
Some of the guards who were thrown backward collided with the nearby Celestial Dragons, shattering the bubbles above their heads and sending them crashing into the buildings.
"Ahhh... That hurt so much!"
"You worthless scum!"
Roswald's voice was filled with pain and anger as he raised his gun and fired several shots at the guards who had collided with him. He then struggled to climb out of the rubble.
Roswald's face was contorted with rage as he glared at the stairs leading underground. That was when he saw a figure ascending step by step from below.
The figure had silvery hair.
He wore a white cape and walked casually, as if taking a stroll, from the underground to the ground above.
It was Feng Ye!
Guards lay scattered on the ground all around, and the few remaining guards trembled as they looked at Feng Ye, continuously backing away with fear written on their faces.
"This... This is the Land of the Gods. Entry is forbidden..."
Someone gripped their weapon tightly, their hands trembling as they aimed it at Feng Ye. "You have not only intruded into the underground prison but also into the Land of the Gods. This is a capital offense..."
"Is that so?"
Feng Ye spoke calmly, his gaze sweeping across the nearby guards and Celestial Dragons before settling on the interior of the Land of the Gods.
This place was starkly different from the hellish underground area.
Although he could still see slaves kneeling and crawling, and others with collars around their necks working diligently, the environment itself was like a paradise compared to the hell they had endured.
The ground beneath his feet was covered with lush, verdant grass, and every building was pristine and new. Each structure was designed with impeccable aesthetic beauty, and even the color schemes between the buildings were perfectly balanced and harmonious.
As he scanned the area,
The only feeling he experienced was comfort.
"Even the Great Name Mansion of the Fire Shadow World pales in comparison... When it comes to enjoyment, I'd say you're the strongest."
Feng Ye smiled faintly.
It was around this time that the nearby Celestial Dragons seemed to realize what was happening, and they all turned to Feng Ye, their faces contorted with rage.
