Chapter 376: A Pathetic Power Level of 5
Chapter 376: A Pathetic Power Level of 5
"Yecheng, you useless piece of trash, stop dragging your feet! If it weren't for the fact that you're a Saiyan too, I would have finished you off long ago!"
As Yecheng exited the Mystic Space, he clenched his fists, feeling the surging power within him, and a hint of excitement flashed across his face.
Just as he was secretly rejoicing in his power boost, a man with black spiky hair, wearing the Vegeta Planet's battle armor, a power level detector over his left eye, and his tail wrapped around his waist, glared at Yecheng with displeasure.
"I understand. The spaceship is ready, and it will take about three days to travel from here to Earth, where Kakarot is located."
The one shouting at Yecheng was none other than Kakarot's older brother, Raditz, who was mocked for being a Super Saiyan 1 but acting like a Super Saiyan 3, only to meet his end early on.
The reason Raditz, who was comparable to a lowly minion in Frieza's Army, dared to yell at Yecheng was simple—Yecheng's power level was even lower than his.
Both being Saiyans, Yecheng was of a lower-class warrior caliber, while Raditz had a power level of at least 1,500. In contrast, Yecheng's power level was a mere 1,200.
Of course, 1,200 wasn't Yecheng's full power; his actual power level was around 2,000.
As a traverser, Yecheng had quickly mastered the control of 'Qi' in this world, so he suppressed his aura to around 1,200.
Frieza's Army, like the entire universe, had a hierarchy based on power levels, where the stronger you were, the more arrogant you could be.
Raditz, having been humiliated by Vegeta, could only take out his frustration on Yecheng, who had an even lower power level.
In this world, Yecheng was also a Saiyan. When Frieza destroyed the Vegeta Planet, Yecheng was deemed a lower-class warrior due to his lineage and was sent to a safe planet.
Later, when Vegeta and the others were searching the universe for surviving Saiyans, they found Yecheng.
In terms of blood relations, Yecheng, Raditz, and Kakarot were cousins.
Raditz and Kakarot's mother, Jine, was Yecheng's aunt.
Age-wise, Yecheng was around the same age as Kakarot, and he was sent away from the Vegeta Planet just before its destruction.
Jine was the only kind-hearted Saiyan, and Bardock, sensing impending doom, secretly sent Kakarot to Earth.
Jine, also kind-hearted, sent her brother's child, Yecheng, to another safe planet after hearing about Bardock's fate.
Indeed, Yecheng was that child, and Jine was, strictly speaking, his savior.
Yecheng's name was chosen by himself, similar to Kakarot's 'Son Goku'. Yecheng also had a Saiyan name, but he didn't use it because he didn't like it.
After sharing power in the Mystic Space, perhaps due to his Saiyan physiology being stimulated or some other factor, Yecheng's power level skyrocketed to around 15,000!
This was a sevenfold increase from his original 2,000! To put it into perspective, Vegeta's power level at full power was only around 18,000.
Yecheng was well aware that with his current power level, he was still considered a minnow in this world, so he decided to continue playing it safe and bide his time.
Night City and Raditz have been tasked by Vegeta to locate and retrieve Kakarot, who is currently on Earth under the alias of Sun Wukong. They are also to assess the value of Earth and determine if it can be sold for a good price.
There are only five remaining Saiyans in the world: Vegeta, Nappa, Raditz, Night City, and Kakarot, who is currently on Earth.
As the weakest of the three Saiyans, Raditz has always been Vegeta and Nappa's lackey. Now, with the appearance of Night City, who is even less skilled than him, Raditz's attitude is naturally not going to be pleasant.
What, you say they are cousins? Don't joke around; the Saiyans are a fiercely competitive fighting race, and they have no room for family or love in their hearts.
Jine, a Saiyan like that, is an absolute anomaly. Even her love for Bardock is a rare occurrence among the Saiyans.
Night City and Raditz enter the spherical spaceship, preparing to travel to Earth. Unlike Raditz, who sees this trip as a vacation, Night City is excited, knowing that Earth has many desirable things.
Aside from the Dragon Balls and Senzu Beans, having the protagonist group's support means their power levels will surely skyrocket.
In fact, Night City had previously traveled to Earth alone but landed on a planet with a primitive civilization. Unable to build a spaceship himself or locate Earth in the vast universe, he had no choice but to stay on that relatively safe planet until Vegeta found him.
The journey to Earth takes three days. For Night City and Raditz, who are in hibernation within the spaceship, it feels like a mere nap.
As the two spherical spaceships streak across the sky like meteors and land in a farm, Kakarot, who is at Baozi Mountain, and Piccolo, who is meditating in the wilderness, both sense the energy of Night City and Raditz.
Sun Wukong has just won the Universal Tournament, and his son, Gohan, is only four years old.
The spaceship crashes to the ground, and as the hatch slowly opens, two figures emerge from the spherical vessel.
These two individuals are Night City and Raditz, who have traveled for three days in the spaceship to reach Earth.
The spaceship's landing on the farm causes a commotion, attracting the farmer, who rushes over with a rifle in hand.
"Who are you? Why did you suddenly fall from the sky? If you don't explain yourselves, my rifle won't be so forgiving!" the farmer says, aiming his gun at them.
Out of curiosity, Raditz activates the power level detector on his left eye to assess the strength of the Earthlings. As the detector's readings fluctuate, Raditz, with a look of disdain, utters the famous line that went viral: "You're just a Level 5 weakling.
No wonder this planet, Earth, was deemed safe. Its inhabitants' power levels are even lower than those on your previous planet, Night City."
Hearing Raditz's arrogant words and seeing his menacing appearance, the farmer doesn't hesitate. He pulls the trigger, firing several shots at Raditz.
