[Settlement completed. Proceed.]
Feng Bu Jue chose to return to the Login Space before the post-scenario countdown finished. Once the three-minute [demon god descent] effect expired, he would enter a state of 1% vitality value with zero stamina and spiritual energy. Even if he stayed, he couldn’t accomplish anything within those 180 seconds.
Judging from the settlement screen, the rewards for this kill game mode weren’t particularly generous. This was likely because only the main quest had been completed, resulting in minimal experience gains.
As for the two side quest tasks… the first one, [join the Classic Faction to end the war], was obviously unattainable. While Mushiro Koganei was building the Lego Puffer Fighter, Feng Bu Jue had reconsidered this. His speculation was that completing side quests required avoiding interactions with the Npc "Xianzhi" entirely. Even if they did meet, players shouldn’t engage in unnecessary dialogue. This would prevent the plot from escalating to involve the Four Pillars Deity, keeping the player’s knowledge confined to the basic "Toy Story" premise.
Then, by following the other side quest task, [assist Jazz and Nightbeat in scouting the Lego House], the narrative would gradually unfold, ultimately leading to victory in the war. Naturally, this "victory" would likely be a temporary illusion created by the system. Once the player left, Xianzhi would probably reset everything.
However, none of this mattered now. Since he hadn’t returned to Optimus Prime to report, the scouting task was also considered incomplete.
"Well… this experience plus 40% should be enough for me to reach level thirty", Feng Bu Jue remarked casually, clicking the "Accept" option on the screen before responding to Xiao Tan's conference room invitation.
He didn’t rush to the storage room for rewards. Since he’d already decided to allocate all experience points, he could collect them later. He pressed the elevator’s conference room button and stepped out.
"Huoh… What’s going on? Are you offering him as a sacrifice?" Feng Bu Jue smirked as he entered, spotting Xiao Tan sitting at the table with snack crumbs scattered across his face.
"You’re lucky this space doesn’t allow physical violence. Otherwise, you’d be staring at a Wwe-level brawl right now", Xiao Tan grumbled.
"You seem pretty upset", Bei Ling chimed in.
"Not at all!" Xiao Tan quickly replied. "Absolutely not!"
Feng Bu Jue leaned toward Si Yu, whispering, "What’s going on between these two?"
"Better not ask", Si Yu whispered back.
"Alright…" Feng Bu Jue turned casually and sat down. "I’m nearly level thirty after claiming my rewards. Should we try the team nightmare difficulty—"
"Hey! You’re just brushing off my suffering! Don’t you care about what happened to me?" Xiao Tan snapped.
"What’s there to ask?" Feng Bu Jue said lifelessly. "You said or did something you shouldn’t have—"
"Commander, as always, is brilliant", Bei Ling interjected, shooting Xiao Tan a glare.
"As a man, you should just kneel and apologize. You’ll earn her forgiveness soon enough", Feng Bu Jue continued.
"Don’t project your own damn habits onto everyone!" Xiao Tan retorted.
Feng Bu Jue squinted his dead fish eyes at Bei Ling. "You too… Look at how pitiful he is. Since you often boss him around, if there’s no major principle at stake, just forgive him. From my observations, your fates are compatible—your zodiac signs align, your yin-yang balance is perfect, and your roles are clearly defined. With time, you two might just become a wealthy couple in the end…"
Slap—
A bag of potato chips flew from Bei Ling’s hand and smacked Feng Bu Jue’s face.
"I told you not to meddle", Si Yu coldly remarked. "But you had to draw aggro."
"Ah~ I’ve specialized in taunting for decades. My words always hit their mark", Feng Bu Jue said nonchalantly, picking up the chips and tossing them into his mouth.
"More bragging…" Si Yu shook her head, smiling faintly.
"Hmph…" Feng Bu Jue scoffed, proving his point by crafting a new line within a second. "By the way, as my number one fan, don’t you want to give me a child?"
Slap—
Another bag of potato chips soared from Si Yu’s hand, joining its companion on Feng Bu Jue’s face.
………
Feng Bu Jue chatted with his teammates in the conference room about the practice battle, sharing some details, including the Soul Intent system.
Time slipped by unnoticed until late at night. The group agreed to meet again in the sleep mode server at midnight, then logged off to rest.
At 12:45 AM on April 24th, Feng Bu Jue logged in again. Arriving over ten minutes early, he planned to handle some trivial matters to avoid keeping his teammates waiting.
First, he claimed his rewards. Entering the storage room, he collected his current level’s 40% experience bonus and drew two new puzzle piece cards. His updated stats:
Title: [Dark Vanguard], title ability: [demon god descent]
Experience Points: 39,800/3,000,000, Skill Points: 19,450, Game Currency: 1,765,000.

Skills (7/12): [Less Hasty Repair], [Spirit Sense Body Technique], [Ice Alchemist’s Perseverance], [Southern Dipper Flying Dragon Fist], [Summoning], [Moon Step], [Storm Leg]
Starting at level thirty, experience requirements had increased by an order of magnitude—now 3,000,000 points. For Feng Bu Jue, this was good news. His advantage of zero fear allowed him to accumulate staggering experience gains per level.
Another notable improvement was his summoning proficiency. Repeated use of "Here Comes a Move" during the Mantle Scramble battle, including over a dozen random summonings, had significantly boosted his skills. Successfully summoning Mushiro Koganei twice recently earned him a proficiency level-up.
Currently, his "Character Task" [Use summoning skills to successfully summon entities fifty times] was at 17/50 completion. Finishing this would take at least ten to fifteen more days.
"Eh? These cards…" Feng Bu Jue murmured while storing his puzzle piece cards, suddenly noticing something.
He pulled all his puzzle piece cards from his satchel, opened the virtual menu, and selected the "Combination" option.
The system prompt immediately responded: [Detected possible combination sequence].
On-screen appeared: Deck Name: [T-800] (Terminator). Consumption: [Puzzle Piece Card - Sunglasses], [Puzzle Piece Card - Leather Jacket], [Puzzle Piece Card - Motorcycle], [Puzzle Piece Card - Shotgun] required for combination.
"A deck requiring four cards…" Feng Bu Jue muttered. "I smell Flawless-grade Equipment…"
[You selected the T-800 deck combination. Confirm operation.]
As the four cards dissolved into white light and reassembled, a Tarot-sized card materialized in Feng Bu Jue’s hand. It depicted a sunglasses-wearing, leather-clad biker straddling a motorcycle and gripping a firearm. The watercolor style clashed hilariously with the scene.
The system prompted again: [Deck generated. Would you like to convert it into Equipment?]
After selecting "Yes", a column of white light appeared at the storage room’s far end, quickly solidifying into a glass reward dispenser.
Approaching, Feng Bu Jue saw the equipment had already formed—a strange machine roughly accordion-sized with a complex structure. One side had a teleportation belt entrance, while the opposite featured only a circular convex lens. A single lever sat beside the machine, no other adjustable components.
A vague sense of unease prickled his spine as he retrieved the item and examined it…
[Name: Zero Magic Crusher]
[Type: Tool]
[Quality: Trash]
[Function: Manufactures trash]
[Special Effect: 1% chance to produce a legendary-grade item (requires at least three fine-grade or higher equipment pieces to activate)]
[Background: Invented by the famed wizard Losing Mind (losing_mind), this magical artifact supposedly blends multiple magic-infused items to create a more powerful artifact. Unfortunately, reality proved grim—after destroying hundreds of borrowed artifacts, the machine only produced scrap metal. Losing Mind was severely beaten by his enraged colleagues and permanently expelled from the Wizard Association. Now labeled "Trash", the machine was locked away in storage.]
