Chapter 373: The Finale
Chapter 373: The Finale
After an unknown duration, the blinding light in the hall gradually faded, allowing the onlookers to finally open their eyes.
A figure stood in mid-air, their wizard robe billowing without a breeze, long hair flowing freely, and an immense psychic power, tangible as a substance, surging outward.
A Fourth Circle Wizard!
With the infusion of power from the Titan Core, Linen, who had recently advanced to the Third Circle, astonishingly ascended to the Fourth Circle.
"Swoosh!"
As Linen gently waved his sleeve, ripples formed in the void, and several figures appeared one after another.
The original Karl.
Madman Walter.
The Fifth Circle 'Soul' of the Roll Family, and the trapped Julia within the Twelve Star Palace.
The Witch Cheri, holding a miniature version of the Wizard Tower, and Hunter Leo, disheveled from the temporal turbulence.
All of them materialized in the hall.
The Dean of Viper Academy, Aksha, was absent, having met his end at Karl's hands.
"Ladies and gentlemen," Linen said, his back turned and hands clasped behind him, a faint smile on his face as he addressed the crowd.
"We had no prior grudges, and I'm willing to extend friendship from now on. Can we call a truce?"
"Nonsense!" Madman Walter roared, his eyes flashing with light, and the force field in the hall instantly underwent a transformation.
Fourth Circle Magic - Gravity Lever!
He, too, could borrow a portion of the Titan Core's power, making his spellcasting prowess comparable to a Fifth Circle Sorcerer.
The next moment, as Linen raised a hand, the invisible force field instantly dissipated, and Walter's body visibly withered at a perceivable rate.
In the blink of an eye, the once vibrant and roaring Walter turned into a pile of dry bones that scattered silently in the wind.
Fourth Circle,
Death!
It happened silently, yet it sent shivers down everyone's spines.
Linen, now in complete control of the Titan Core, within its range, had a power comparable to a Sixth Circle Wizard.
Even surpassing Karl by a slight margin.
Of course, Linen was just a fragment of Karl's consciousness, and everything he possessed could be reclaimed by Karl at any moment.
This realization caused a subtle change in the expressions of the others present, many of them now filled with fear.
Fourth Circle!
Such a lofty and powerful existence, capable of surviving solely as a consciousness, had just vanished?
"Of course," Witch Cheri's beautiful eyes glistened as she waved her sleeve, retracting the Wizard Tower, and smiled at Linen.
"The Abyssal Cottage has always had an alliance with Viper Academy. If not for Aksha's breach of our agreement, I wouldn't have taken action against him."
"Now that Viper Academy is under your leadership, Linen, I believe our alliance can be everlasting."
"No," Linen shook his head.
"I represent only myself, not Viper Academy."
"Of course," Hunter Leo took a deep breath, emerging from his state of loss, a necessary psychological trait for a leader of a faction, unaffected by negative emotions, and addressed Linen politely.
"I believe the wizards of Viper Academy will acknowledge you as their new Dean, and I hope the Demon Hunting Brigade can earn your trust as well."
"Dean! Dean!" The Three-Eyed White Crow flapped its wings, cawing loudly.
"Linen is the new Dean!"
"Indeed," Gear Jack hurriedly agreed.
"You are the new Dean."
Charlotte, Ron, and the others echoed the same sentiment.
Despite their jealousy, they could only sincerely support Linen as the new Dean of the Academy.
The Titan Core, a Fourth Circle Sorcerer...
Without these, Viper Academy would cease to exist, and they would become unprotected wild wizards.
"Dean Linen," Julia took a deep breath, her eyes filled with reluctance, and knelt down in a respectful bow.
"The Roll Family wishes to be acquainted with you, Dean. But, what about my brother, Theodore? He seems to have met with some trouble."
"Theodore?" Linen's expression remained unchanged.
"He's probably dead, killed by the former Dean, Aksha. Speaking of which, where is Aksha now?"
Julia pursed her lips. She didn't fully believe Lin En's words, but this explanation was the least troublesome.
"Aksha is dead."
"In that case, it won't affect the friendship between the Roll Family and Viper Academy."
Lin En's expression showed 'astonishment', and he finally looked towards his true body.
"It seems the matter has been resolved." Karl shrugged, glancing around the room, and said calmly:
"If you could fully master that artifact, there might be a chance to keep me here, but you can't."
"..." Lin En forced a smile and bowed, saying:
"I'll see you out, Your Excellency."
"No need." Karl scoffed:
"I can leave on my own."
As he spoke, he took a light step and crossed through space, heading towards another world.
His departure also eased the tense atmosphere in the room, and even Witch Cheri unconsciously breathed a sigh of relief.
Unlike Lin En...

The person from earlier was indeed a solid Fifth Rank Sorcerer, possibly one of the more powerful ones within that rank.
If Lin En hadn't released them from the dimensional space in time, they might have been killed by him.
Moreover,
From the way he casually left, it was clear that even the owner of the Titan Core posed no threat to him.
Facing Karl,
They felt far more pressure than the polite Lin En.
…………
Half a year later.
Viper Academy reopened its doors.
Lin En, as the new dean, received visitors from all over, and slightly revealed some of his strength.
As the saying goes, when one achieves enlightenment, even the chickens and dogs ascend.
Several individuals with close relationships to Lin En had their statuses within the academy elevated, and Gear Jack even became the vice-dean.
No one objected.
Just two months ago, Gear Jack had refined the former dean's collection and successfully advanced to Tier 3.
Previously, Viper Academy had no Tier 3 Wizards other than Dean Aksha, so it was only natural for Gear Jack to assume the vice-dean position.
Natalie and Isaiah also had new roles, and their strengths had improved.
Except for Susan.
The Hundred-Faced Demon form was hard to shake off, but fortunately, it had evolved into the Thousand-Faced Demon, allowing her to use illusions to appear in a human form.
Given time, if she could become the Ten Thousand-Faced Demon, then each face would be her 'true self', essentially regaining her human body.
To celebrate Lin En's appointment as the dean of Viper Academy, the Roll Family sent a Tier 5 Wizard.
However, Lin En was wary of this visitor and didn't interact much.
Time flew by.
Two months later.
The Titan Core Kernel.
"Finally finished with the trivial academy matters, it's much more difficult and energy-consuming than I imagined."
Lin En, sitting cross-legged in the void, shook his head lightly, and with a single hand, a flame appeared before him.
The flame was pitch-black and deep, as if it could devour all light sources, and it was filled with extreme cold and lifelessness.
"Fifth Rank Flame - World Devouring Black Flame!"
"Deep within the Titan Core, there's such a flame, which happens to help me advance further."
Lin En muttered, deep in thought.
With his current strength, he could contend with lower-ranked deities, but his true body didn't intend for him to take action.
Calim Continent was his fallback plan.
If things became untenable in the other world, he would retreat here, so Lin En must stay safe.
"Calim is the fallback, the other world is the battlefield, and the Eastern Kingdom Continent is the only variable."
"It's the only chance for my true body to resist the Outsider Gods."
Looking up into the distance, Lin En sighed:
"Eastern Kingdom Continent..."
"What exactly happened there?"
