Chapter 369: The Appearance
Chapter 369: The Appearance
"Roar!"
With a prolonged dragon's roar, Lin En revealed his Fire Dragon form, and the powerful aura within him unleashed without restraint.
In an instant, the area within a ten-kilometer radius turned into a sea of fire.
No!
A simple sea of fire couldn't describe the scene before them.
It was like a scorching sun's core, capable of melting even meteorites and alloys within its range.
The White Crow cawed and retreated into the void, while Gear Jack grunted and repeatedly backed away from the intense heat.
Even as allies, they were struggling; one could only imagine the fate of their enemies.
"Ah!"
A Tier 2 Wizard screamed as the protective spells on his body shattered one after another, and he was instantly turned to ashes by the raging flames.
Lin En's dragon body spiraled, resembling a divine dragon basking in the sun's core, dominating the fire elements in the heavens and earth.
"Mid-Tier 3!"
"Top-tier heritage!"
Theodore's eyes widened, his face contorting:
"Who exactly are you?"
"The Magic Mirror is a secret technique of the Green Family, never to be passed on to outsiders. How did you learn it?"
Lin En was definitely not a member of the Green Family; the core members of the Nine Noble Families bore unique marks that would trigger a mutual response upon meeting.
"What's the point of asking?"
Lin En's Fire Dragon lowered its head and rumbled:
"It won't change the outcome."
"Do you really think you've won?" Theodore's face darkened, and he quickly produced a sigil from his body:
"Go!"
The sigil exploded in mid-air, transforming into a dazzling aura that rushed towards Lin En's Fire Dragon form.
The aura was capable of resisting the intense flames in the area, and it even carved out a vacuum passage.
Tier 4 Sigil—Primagnetic Aura! At the same time, he roared at the Tier 3 Wizard beside him:
"Why are you standing there? Attack now!"
The Tier 3 Wizard's lips moved slightly, and a hint of despair flashed in his eyes. He then roared and raised his staff high.
"Boom!"
An intense cold aura surged from his staff, forming several icy pillars that rushed towards the Fire Dragon.
Tier 3 Spell—Sorrow Frost!
Theodore took the opportunity to turn and flee.
Facing the incoming attack, Lin En merely swayed his dragon body slightly, and the Annihilation Sword shot out with a crisp sound.
The crimson blade swept up the surrounding flames and slashed forward with formidable power.
With the enhancement of the Magic Mirror and other techniques, this strike possessed the might of a Tier 4 spell.
"Crack!"
The Tier 4 sigil was shattered, and the remaining force landed on the icy pillar, causing the sword's momentum to momentarily stall.
However...
With a divine twist, the Annihilation Sword sliced the icy pillar into numerous perfectly sized ice cubes.
The Tier 3 Wizard who had raised his staff stiffened, and his body immediately ignited into raging flames.
The longsword swept across,
Instantly burning the remaining Tier 2 Wizard who was still struggling to escape into ashes.
In the brief moment it took to catch their breath, Theodore had already escaped several li away and was about to rush into a large gate.
The next instant.
His vision blurred, and he found himself before Lin En's Fire Dragon form.
"Spatial Displacement!"
"Tier 4 Artifact!"
Theodore's cheeks twitched, and he lifted his head to stare directly at Lin En:
"You dare to kill a wizard recruited by the Roll Family. You'll never live in peace again!"
"Hmm?"
Lin En's Fire Dragon slightly lowered its head, and its dragon claw pointed at Theodore's nose:
"You should be more concerned about yourself."
"Do you dare to kill me?" Theodore's face showed disdain:
"I am the core bloodline of the Roll Family. Even if you're just a Tier 3 Wizard, what can a Tier 4 do?"
"If you kill me, you'll die too!"
"Is that so?" Lin En lowered his claw, and its sharp tip slowly pierced Theodore's forehead.
A streak of blood appeared on Theodore's brow.
"No!"
Gear Jack, seeing this, shouted urgently:
"Lin En, he's from the Roll Family. If you kill him... we're finished too!"
"Caw! Caw!"
The Three-Eyed Raven nodded:
"I don't like him, but he's right. We can't kill a blood relative of the Roll Family."
"Hmph!" Theodore sneered coldly.
"You wouldn't dare!"
"Is that so?" The Fire Dragon, transformed by Linen, maintained a calm expression, its body leaning slightly forward. With a slight movement, its dragon claws pierced Theodore's skull.
"Pfft!"
The sharp claws penetrated his brain, shredding the brain matter, leaving Theodore with a frozen expression of disbelief.
"It's over!" Gear Jack's face turned ashen.
"We're done for!"
"Quack! Quack!" The White Crow screeched.
"Linen, unless you can escape to another world, you'll never be able to escape the pursuit of the Roll Family."
"Don't worry," Linen retracted his dragon body and transformed back into a human.
"He's not dead, just turned into a vegetable."
"You don't need to be too afraid. The Roll Family is strong, but they're not truly all-powerful."
As he spoke, he shook his wizard robe, and a bright red toad jumped out, extending its tongue to wrap around Theodore.
Then, with a sudden leap, they were thrown into the temporal turbulence.
The turbulence enveloped the toad and Theodore, and in the accelerated time, they quickly turned into dry bones.
"Look," Linen shrugged.
"Theodore died in the temporal turbulence of the Titan Nexus. What can the Roll Family do now?"
"Is this okay?" Gear Jack's face turned bitter.
"No problem," Linen waved his hand.
"The Nine Noble Families..."
"Don't make them out to be too mysterious. Those who truly reach the Fifth or Sixth Tier are no longer bound by family bloodlines. As for Fourth Tier Wizards, there's no need to fear them so much."
"Let's go!"
"Buzz..."
The stone gate swung open, and chaotic temporal turbulence surged in.
The group felt a brief dizziness, and in an instant, they had broken through the Titan Nexus's restrictions and arrived at its Kernel.
It was a spacious hall with a hundred-meter-tall cylindrical stone pillar standing in the center. The pillar's aura was dim, and it slowly rotated clockwise.
"Control Core!"
Madman Walter's eyes lit up, and he leaped towards the pillar, while an invisible force field expanded around him.
He had partial control over the Titan Nexus, and as he exerted his power, the temporal turbulence immediately engulfed the other two parties.
Time slowed down for the others, stretching one second into five, ten, and even twenty seconds.
But for him,
Time was accelerating.
In reality, Madman Walter had already reached the halfway point by the time the others reacted.
"Hmph!"
Witch Cheri let out a low hum, and a chaotic force suddenly emerged from her body, and she dashed forward with a flash.
Chaos!
A power held by a powerful being in the abyss, now attached to Witch Cheri, exhibiting the might of a Fifth Tier.
Three mysterious wizards stepped forward from behind Julia, their auras intertwining in the air, ultimately forming a 'Wraith.'
This wraith was actually a Fifth Tier Wizard from the Roll Family, but due to issues in his cultivation, he could only exist in this form.
But, a Fifth Tier is still a Fifth Tier!
The Fifth Tier Wizard's Law Power instantly dispersed the surrounding temporal turbulence, and like teleportation, he approached the Control Core.
Just as the three Fifth Tier forces were about to reach the Control Core, time suddenly froze.
"As expected!"
Aksha's figure appeared silently in the room, his gaze sweeping over the group as he slowly nodded.
"I knew letting you in would open the way to the Kernel. But now..."
"The item is mine!"
He raised one hand, and a Fourth Tier Wizard's aura emerged, and his control over the Titan Nexus far surpassed that of Madman Walter.
"Please wait elsewhere for a moment, I'll refine the Control Core, and then we can talk."
With a casual wave of his hand, he expelled the three Fifth Tier powerhouses into a separate dimensional space.
