Chapter 366: This Person is Definitely Missing a Heart
Chapter 366: This Person is Definitely Missing a Heart
"In any case, let's leave first. Take this person back with us", Klah suggested, uninterested in hearing Kai Si Lin's perspective.
"Absolutely not!"
However, Donald stepped forward at this moment, standing in front of everyone, and shouted at Kai Si Lin:
"If he doesn't explain clearly, isn't that deceiving Miss Kai Si Lin? King Alexander Francisking was willing to honor the agreement and marry such a Tyrannosaurus Rex! A real man must honestly reveal his information!"
"Tyrannosaurus Rex?!"
Kai Si Lin trembled, her thick, short fingers pointing at herself uncertainly. "Brother Navy? Are you talking about me?!"
"Exactly. Pardon my honesty, Miss Kai Si Lin", Donald said bluntly, his gaze steady. "You're extremely unattractive."
He stated this as an undisputed fact, a brutally honest opinion based on both personal and universal aesthetic standards.
"Beauty and ugliness are objective matters", he continued. "There's no need to pretend something hideous is beautiful."
His master had taught him from childhood to be honest and polite.
Kai Si Lin trembled with rage. "How dare you call me ugly! You're not even one-tenth as handsome as my suitors! They all say I'm beautiful - as radiant as the moon!"
"Pardon my honesty, but the moon is full of craters", Donald countered. "So you are too. You're extremely unattractive."
"My father's wealth could buy this entire kingdom! My suitors line up from West Blue to Grand Line!"
"You're a hideous monster."
"My alliance marriage partners are always royalty! I'm noble beyond measure!"
"You're a hideous monster!"
Donald ignored her completely, speaking with utmost sincerity: "Face reality! You're hideous! Admitting flaws isn't shameful. Ugliness doesn't preclude happiness! King Alexander Francisking might be old and lecherous, his skin as wrinkled as chicken flesh, but he's your destined husband! Your engagement stands! Even a hideous monster can marry!"
As Donald spoke, Kai Si Lin staggered backward, her skin turning alarmingly grayish.
"Donald, enough already!" Sazil winced. "This is going too far!"
"Am I wrong?!"
Donald raised his voice. "Don't discriminate against the ugly! They're trying too! It's despicable to force people to call you beautiful with money, but at least she's trying! Those suitors might secretly gag at her, but she's honestly striving in her own way! Ugliness doesn't negate the desire for love!"
Kai Si Lin's entire body turned even grayer.
"Miss Kai Si Lin", Donald said earnestly, "I know you're trying, but stop these despicable methods! What if I'm wrong? Ugly people deserve beauty! Even if King dislikes you, your engagement ensures union! A hideous monster can become queen!"
"Donald, look at her - she's fading! She's losing color!" Sazil groaned, pointing at the now-petrified, grayish Kai Si Lin.
"Seriously, how is he still alive?" Lida asked curiously.
"Who knows? Maybe his martial prowess is exceptional enough to avoid getting killed."
Kuro concluded: This person definitely has missing heart.
After Donald's tirade, Kai Si Lin stood frozen, pupils dilated, her mind unable to withstand the verbal assault as she fainted voluntarily.
"Wake her up! Ask where that maid disappeared", Kuro ordered.
But before anyone could act, Kai Si Lin suddenly regained color, pointing ahead. "The maid vanished in the great forest ahead!"
As soon as she spoke, her head drooped, skin turning grayish again as she fainted once more.
Kuro: "...".
Can she choose when to faint now?
"Take her to the king. Donald, go with them. Klah and Lida come with me."
"Um... Can I join you?"
Fen Ni raised her hand. "I want to investigate why beasts have grown so violent. Alone I'm too timid, but with you, we might uncover the truth."
After all, besides violent beasts, bandits infested the kingdom - she wouldn't dare explore alone.
Kuro shrugged indifferently.
The unconscious Kai Si Lin was taken by Donald with Sazil and Ju Geng proceeding to the palace.
Fen Ni packed essential medicine bottles and notebooks, then followed Kuro toward Kai Si Lin's indicated direction.
They needed a local guide.
The forest lay just an hour's walk ahead. As grassland gave way to dense canopy, sunlight barely pierced the foliage.
"Here's where Kai Si Lin claimed she was attacked", Fen Ni pointed at the ominous forest entrance.
Klah sniffed the air, frowning. "Strong blood scent."
"Roarrr!"
As he spoke, a ferocious beast roar erupted from the trees.
Kuro's eyes narrowed. In a flash, he dashed toward the sound, swiftly navigating the forest's obstacles until reaching an open clearing.
Campfires smoldered among blood-soaked ground. Corpses of ragged, menacing thieves and ordinary merchants lay sprawled, disemboweled, eyes wide with terror.
At the center, a group of small monkeys clawed at entrails. Hearing footsteps, they turned - bloodied hands clutching organs, crimson eyes glaring.
In their midst stood a woman, her white dress dyed crimson, abdomen torn open as she gazed skyward.
"This can't be..." Fen Ni clasped her mouth, tears flowing. "They're supposed to be gentle creatures! Why?!"
"Roarr!"
The monkeys lunged, snarling.
"Telekinesis Blade."
Kuro gripped his hilt, slicing forward. His ability whipped the air into razor-sharp winds, cleaving the charging monkeys into pieces.
As he sheathed his blade, Kuro's expression darkened. "What the hell happened here?!"
Klah sniffed the air. "I smell the Lion Ape's aura. It passed through here."
