Chapter 365: Is This the Yuiyi Xuan Yue That I Know?
Chapter 365: Is This the Yuiyi Xuan Yue That I Know?
Konoha.
Tsunade eventually returned here with Shizune.
Given her temperament, she would never have come back to the village.
However, the Konoha ninja who had found her earlier brought a message from Hiruzen Sarutobi, warning of an impending disaster that would affect everyone in the ninja world.
Additionally, she had been on a winning streak lately.
Although Tsunade seemed to adapt on the surface, she couldn't help but have some doubts, and ultimately decided to return.
She made her way unimpeded to the Hokage's office.
Tsunade didn't bother knocking and pushed the door open.
The Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, sat in his familiar office chair, and beside him stood Jiraiya.
"Jiraiya, you're back too," Tsunade greeted him.
Hearing this, Jiraiya turned around and enthusiastically strode towards Tsunade, arms wide open, and said with a smile, "Tsunade, long time no see! You're looking more beautiful than ever!"
"If you want the rest of this conversation to take place in the hospital, feel free to take one more step forward." Tsunade coldly smiled, tightening her fist.
Jiraiya immediately stopped in his tracks and said earnestly, "But Hiruzen-sensei sent an urgent message saying that a crisis affecting the entire ninja world is about to unfold, so I dropped everything and rushed back here without delay."
"Alright, move aside," Tsunade pushed Jiraiya aside and approached Hiruzen, getting straight to the point. "Come on, old man. What's this urgent matter that brought us back?"
"It won't take long. The person involved will be back soon," replied Hiruzen gravely, having already received the latest intelligence from Naruto's squad.
This was the first time Tsunade had seen the usually lighthearted old man looking so solemn.
"It seems something big has happened!" Tsunade decided to hear him out.
Before long, hurried footsteps approached from outside.
With a loud "bang," the door flew open.
"Grandpa Hiruzen!"
Naruto rushed in, eager to say something, but then he noticed Jiraiya and Tsunade and exclaimed, "Hey! Pervy Sage, Granny Tsunade, you're here too!"
"Pervy Sage?"
"Granny Tsunade?"
Jiraiya and Tsunade's faces darkened instantly.
Before Jiraiya could roll up his sleeves to begin an epic self-introduction, he was interrupted by—
BOOM!
Naruto was punched and sent flying out of the window.
"Who are you calling a granny, you brat!" Tsunade slowly retracted her fist, her words dripping with anger.
"It's a misunderstanding! It's all a misunderstanding!" Kushina, who had arrived a little late, quickly pulled Naruto out of the wall, vigorously shook his body to remove the dust, and turned to explain.
Jiraiya, left with no other choice, turned to Minato and asked curiously, "So, who's this kid who looks a bit like you, Minato?"
Minato scratched his head. "Jiraiya-sensei, it's a long story."
"Then make it short. Naruto is the son of Minato and me," said Orochimaru, who had narrowly escaped being caught in the crossfire, in a flat tone.
"What?!" Jiraiya and Tsunade exclaimed in disbelief.
"So parallel worlds really do exist! No wonder Naruto is your child, Minato," Jiraiya realized after Minato's explanation.
"It seems that way. So, Naruto, you're my disciple in another world?" Jiraiya eyed the now-recovered Naruto.
"Of course, Pervy Sage!" Naruto replied energetically.
"I told you not to call me that! I'm the Toad Sage!" Jiraiya protested.
"But you are the Pervy Sage!" Naruto argued back, and the two continued bickering over the name.
Kushina watched this unfold with concern. She was all too familiar with Jiraiya's teaching style and feared that the other world's Jiraiya would have a negative influence on Naruto.
Little did she know that Naruto had already created a series of seduction jutsu and even ghostwritten the "Intimate Paradise" for Jiraiya, which received rave reviews upon its release.
Naruto and Jiraiya's quarrel was short-lived, and before long, they were back to being amicable, with shoulders draped over each other.
Jiraiya, now privy to much of the information, turned to Tsunade, his eyes wide with astonishment, "Tsunade, I never expected that in another world, you'd become the Hokage!"
Tsunade replied nonchalantly, "She's her, and I'm me. Don't mix us up. I have no interest in being a Hokage."
Jiraiya was about to say something more when Hiruzen Sarutobi interrupted, "That's enough, Jiraiya and Tsunade. You now know some of what has happened, but you're unaware of the even greater crisis that has come with Naruto's arrival. A crisis that threatens the entire shinobi world!"
In the following moments, Hiruzen and Naruto took turns filling in the details of the events, from start to the recent reappearance of Hagoromo Otsutsuki in the desert.
As Jiraiya listened, his expression grew increasingly grave.
Tsunade, on the other hand, became more and more confused.
Hagoromo Otsutsuki?
Is this the Hagoromo Otsutsuki I know?
The latter was also incredibly strong.
But...
The biggest villain in the shinobi world?
So powerful that the Five Great Shinobi Countries, led by the Five Kage, were forced to unite, only to suffer a crushing defeat?
Stronger than the legendary Chakra Ancestor and the Sage of the Six Paths?
How could that be the same Hagoromo Otsutsuki she knew, who always seemed to have time for leisure and pleasure-seeking?
Finally, Tsunade couldn't contain her curiosity any longer and interrupted, "Wait, is the Hagoromo Otsutsuki you're talking about like this?"
Tsunade went on to describe Hagoromo's appearance.
Hiruzen's eyes widened in surprise at her words, "Tsunade, how do you know about Hagoromo Otsutsuki?"
'It really is him!'
Tsunade froze, processing this revelation.
Facing the curious gazes of those present, she slowly replied, her mind still reeling, "I know him... we spent a few days together."
This time, it was Hiruzen, Naruto, and Minato's turn to be taken aback, leaving the room in stunned silence.
After a long pause, Jiraiya spoke up, his voice strained, "So, Tsunade, are you a ghost or...?"
Tsunade's face darkened, and she clenched her fists, "You want to find out for yourself?"
"No, no!"
After some playful banter, the tense atmosphere in the room finally eased a little.
As Tsunade continued to recount her experiences with Hagoromo, Orochimaru stroked his chin thoughtfully, "A honey trap? It's more than just ignoring us."
This kind of disregard wasn't just for people but also for strength and the very level of one's existence.
Orochimaru recalled his encounter with Hagoromo in Loulan, where Hagoromo had simply ignored him and walked past. He let out a self-deprecating laugh.
Such a person was beyond the reach of mundane schemes.
"Hagoromo Otsutsuki arrived in this world around the same time as Naruto. What has he been preparing during this time?" Orochimaru wondered aloud.
Hiruzen, having heard Tsunade's account, furrowed his brow, "I don't believe that Hagoromo has just been indulging in pleasures as Tsunade described. Neither do I think anyone here believes that."
"Could he really be the biggest villain in the shinobi world?" Tsunade echoed his skepticism.
Just as she was about to ask more questions, suddenly—
A blinding flash of light streaked past the window.
Then—
BOOM!!!
The ground shook violently!
