Chapter 361: Rayleigh, the King of Darkness
Chapter 361: Rayleigh, the King of Darkness
Shabondy Islands.
These islands marked the final stop in the first half of the Grand Line, and the endpoint of all sea routes. Regardless of which path one took through the Grand Line, they would eventually arrive at Shabondy.
Also known as the Soap Bubble Islands, they were formed by the roots of the world's largest Yarukiman Mangrove trees. Due to the special liquid secreted by the mangrove resin, the entire island was covered in all sorts of bubbles, and these bubbles were exceptionally resilient.
They also provided one of the routes to the second half of the Grand Line.
The first and second halves of the Grand Line were separated by the Red Line continent, directly above which was the sacred Marijoa, home to the World Government. It was typically challenging to pass through.
However, by utilizing these bubbles, one could coat their ship and then dive down to a depth of 10,000 meters below the sea to reach Fishman Island. From there, they could pass through the caverns beneath the Red Line and enter the second half of the Grand Line.
In fact,
The world of One Piece was much larger than that of Naruto. While there were no vast continents, countless islands were scattered across the seas, including some massive ones that could rival countries.
And with the Grand Line surrounded by the Calm Belt and the Red Line continent, this world was effectively divided into four seas: North, South, East, and West.
"It's like an island out of a dream," Robin remarked as she stood on the deck, gazing at the islands ahead, shrouded in soap bubbles. In the sunlight, the bubbles reflected a dazzling array of colors.
Feng Ye stood tall at the forefront of the deck, his eyes also fixed on the Shabondy Islands. A smile played on his lips as he said, "Indeed, it's a dreamlike place, like something out of a fairy tale."
Shabondy, Skypiea, Fishman Island... These breathtaking locations were exceedingly rare in most worlds, and only in the adventurous and romantic world of One Piece could one find such heavenly scenery.

Feng Ye took out his camera and snapped a few photos from a distance.
As he reviewed the pictures, the ship drew closer to the Shabondy Islands and docked along a stretch of coastline.
Unlike other islands, one could dock and disembark at any point along the perimeter of the Shabondy Islands. This was one reason why, despite being very close to the Marine Headquarters and having a significant Marine presence, many pirates could still pass through on their way to the New World.
"Just as the books described, these resilient bubbles are formed due to the unique geographical environment," Robin said as she and Feng Ye stepped ashore. She approached one of the massive floating bubbles and poked it with her finger a few times, feeling how it was as tough as plastic.
Just then,
She felt her body suddenly lighten as someone lifted her from behind, holding her aloft and then dipping her into the bubble. In a moment, she had sunk completely into it.
"How does it feel?" Feng Ye asked, standing outside the bubble and smiling at Robin within.
Robin slid around inside the bubble a few times before finally coming to rest at the bottom. Smiling up at Feng Ye, she said, "Then I'll have to trouble you to guide me from here."
Having spent a long time with Feng Ye, she had come to understand many of his habits, and occasionally she dared to tease him a little.
Feng Ye smiled gently and said, "Let's go, but even like this, you're still quite noticeable. You're likely to attract the attention of pirate hunters, and the ones gathered here are said to be quite skilled. Oh, and there are also all sorts of slave traders..."
Robin, lying inside the bubble, tilted her head to look at Feng Ye and smiled. "But if I were to be captured, you'd lose your maid who cooks for you. You wouldn't let that happen, would you?"
The bubble encapsulating Robin floated along behind him.
Robin was already familiar with this ability of Feng Ye's, so she wasn't surprised. She sat inside the bubble, taking in the surrounding scenery before turning to Feng Ye and asking, "Where are we heading first? To eat or to find a place to stay... I think I spotted some Navy personnel."
"Don't worry about the Navy," Feng Ye replied nonchalantly.
"We're going to meet someone first."
He smiled, unconcerned, and his gaze flickered again, a deep azure light reflecting in his eyes as he seemed to peer through the buildings on the islands ahead.
Robin's eyes widened slightly in surprise. "Who are we meeting?"
Feng Ye's gaze continued to sweep across the islands before finally settling on a particular direction after about half a minute. A smile played on his lips.
He had found his target!
"We're meeting a man... who knows everything," Feng Ye replied.
"Rayleigh the Dark King!"
...
Soon after, in a tavern.
Feng Ye strolled in, clad in a white overcoat, his attire reminiscent of a noble, immediately drawing the attention of those nearby.
Some felt that Feng Ye looked vaguely familiar, but they couldn't quite place him.
With a slight smile, Feng Ye approached the bar and extended his hand to the bartender, a middle-aged woman. "A glass of whiskey on the rocks, please."
"Coming right up," the bartender replied with a smile.
After placing his order, Feng Ye took a seat at the bar.
To his right sat another man, his appearance somewhat disheveled. He wore a yellow shirt, his hair a mix of black and white, and his beard flecked with gray. He didn't stand out in terms of height or build and seemed like an ordinary middle-aged man.
Robin stood beside Feng Ye, her gaze flickering as she studied the man. She knew who he was—the vice captain of the Roger Pirates, the right-hand man of the Pirate King Gol D. Roger—
The Dark King,
Silvers Rayleigh!
The man who had truly conquered the Grand Line and stood at the pinnacle of the seas!
After the execution of the Pirate King Roger, the members of the Roger Pirates had gone their separate ways. Never did she imagine that she would encounter the legendary vice captain of the Roger Pirates, the Dark King Rayleigh, in the Shabondy Islands. Although she had seen his wanted poster, this was the first time she was laying eyes on him in person.
"Hmm..."
The Dark King Rayleigh sat there, a glass of orange-hued liquor in his left hand, which he gently swirled.
He drained the glass in one gulp, then turned to Feng Ye and smiled. "I didn't expect to have a visitor today. My apologies for the lack of hospitality."
"Traveler Feng Ye," Feng Ye introduced himself.
