Chapter 361: Hermione's Doubts
Chapter 361: Hermione's Doubts
Due to Dumbledore's announcement at the banquet, people inevitably recalled the FireDragon emblem that had appeared on the train, and Kyle once again welcomed a large group of customers.
Early the next morning.
"It's very useful."
In the corridor, a young Gryffindor wizard confidently told his companion, "If the headmaster hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't have known there were Dementors at the school gates..."
"I didn't feel anything, it was just a little cold, and it was completely different from when we were on the train... And Potter was wearing it too, I saw him in the Common Room just now."
The two of them walked all the way to the Great Hall, and the companion was persuaded.
Two Galleons was expensive, but if it was truly that magical, it might be worth it.
However, when they arrived at the Great Hall, they found that the Hufflepuff table was already surrounded by people, and a long line stretched all the way to the door.
These people were here to buy something.
"If I had known about it on the train, I would have bought it."
At the end of the line, a young witch was complaining to her friend, "I was there, but I didn't think the Dementors would come to the school."
"Who would have thought..." Her friend also sighed.
On the other side, Kyle handed a badge to a young Ravenclaw wizard, while Cedric stood by, skillfully taking two Galleons and putting them into a bag next to him.
Kyle yawned, tapped the table, and ordered himself a glass of lemonade.
Although he was woken up early in the morning, seeing so many Galleons lining up to jump into his pocket, this little matter didn't seem that important.
"It's amazing..." The young wizard who had just received the badge exclaimed, "It's still warm, the FireDragon is so powerful!"
Kyle shook his head beside him without saying a word.
This had nothing to do with the FireDragon. Last night, he had worked through the night to cast a small Warm-Up Charm on each of these badges.
To save time, he didn't use a complex alchemical method but simply 'stuck' the charm onto them... Just like the layer of pepper on the outside of a Pepper Imp.
As for the ones he sold on the train, Kyle didn't ignore them either. He asked someone to deliver a message, saying that they could be 'upgraded for free' if they were brought back... Emphasizing the excellent after-sales service.
Although the 'stuck' charm had a limited duration, it was still sufficient.
Even so, he didn't finish until 5 in the morning... Then, at 6 o'clock, someone started knocking on the door of their dormitory.
But they were there to deliver Galleons, so Kyle couldn't say anything. It was just hard on Mikel and Ryan, who had to wake up early with him.
By 8 o'clock, the 150 badges he had brought back from Romania were all sold out.
...
"That's the last one."
After handing out the last badge, Kyle picked up the empty box and showed it to them.
The young witch who had just reached the front of the line looked extremely disappointed.
"Wait a few more days." Kyle comforted her, "There will be more coming."
"How long do we have to wait?"
"I'm not sure." Kyle thought for a moment and gave a reassuring answer, "Probably about a month."
Last night, Raton had feasted on dragon liver and restorative potions and set off with his letter.
But the distance from here to Romania was not short, and it also depended on when Charlie would be available. A month was already the shortest possible time.
After breakfast, Kyle, feeling pleased, was about to go to his first Charms class. But just as he stepped out of the Great Hall, someone called out to him from behind.
"Hermione, is there something wrong?" Kyle glanced behind her, "Where are Harry and Ron?"
The three of them were almost always together, but strangely, today only Hermione was present.
"They went to the West Tower," Hermione replied. "I wanted to ask you something, so I didn't go with them."
"You want to ask me something? About the amulet?" Kyle extended his hand, "No problem, give it to me, and I'll add a Warm-Up Charm to it."
"No, it's not about that."
Hermione shook her head, reached into the collar of her robe, and pulled out a thin, long golden chain with a small, glittering hourglass hanging from it.
"It's because of this!"
"A Time-Turner?" Kyle frowned, "Did you choose all the classes too?"
"Yes, so Professor McGonagall helped me apply for this." Hermione nodded, "But she told me that using a Time-Turner might have some negative effects, and asked me to think it over carefully.
So, I wanted to ask for your opinion... You used a Time-Turner last year, right?"
The latest chapter is available on 69shu.
"Why do you say that?" Kyle asked.
"I heard that you also chose all the classes last year."
Hermione spoke with confidence, "And that time in the eighth floor, when you said you came through a secret passage, that was a lie too, right?
There should have been two of you at that time, one in the Great Hall and the other on the eighth floor."
"That's not wrong."
Kyle smiled, "What do you want to ask?"
"I don't know if I should use it or not." Hermione looked at the Time-Turner in her hand, her expression conflicted, "Leaving the protection of time... Is the result as serious as Professor McGonagall said?"
"Serious, but not so serious." Kyle thought for a moment and said, "In fact, if you only use it within the school and for less than a day, the impact is negligible... Unless there's a very powerful wizard who specifically wants to target you."
Kyle's tone was particularly heavy when he said the last sentence.
He paused for a moment and continued, "But such a thing is also unlikely to happen. After all, we're just ordinary students, and those who exist in the past are unlikely to know about us."
"So, there's no problem?" Hermione asked in surprise.
"It's just a very small probability, not non-existent. 100 and 99.9 are completely different concepts."
Kyle said, "So my opinion is the same as Professor McGonagall's. Don't use it; that's the safest option."
"But..." Hermione hesitated, "Can't I really take all the classes?"
"You can, but it's not necessary." Kyle shook his head, "Some classes aren't that important, like Numerology Divination and Muggle Studies. I gave up on those."
"But they're interesting."
"That's just your current opinion, and choosing more classes means your energy will be divided, resulting in learning only the basics of everything."
"How about this..."
Kyle checked the time, "There's still some time before class. You can go find Professor McGonagall and try to use my method from last year.
When there's a conflict between elective classes, only attend one of them. After listening to all the courses once, then decide whether or not to use the Time-Turner."
