Chapter 359: Give Him a
Realizing this, Dugdale felt even more confident about his suspicions. He couldn't help but marvel at how deeply Ivan, despite his young age, had thought things through.
However, Ivan's exceptional abilities also stirred some thoughts in Dugdale. He felt this might be his chance!
A chance to reclaim everything he had lost!
After much deliberation, Dugdale's once-still heart began to stir. Over the years, he had wallowed in despair and indulgence in Knockturn Alley simply because he saw no hope.
But things were different now. With Ivan's talent and potential, it wouldn't take long for him to grow to a level that could rival the previous Dark Lord.
With such power, combined with Ivan's meticulous mind and his own support, dominating the entire Wizarding World wouldn't be a difficult task!
Just thinking about it made Dugdale's blood boil.
He could already envision the scene a few years from now, when he would return to St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries with a large group of people, and the look of astonishment on Bohan's face.
At that time, he would make his father understand who made the right choice!
Aisha observed Dugdale's reaction, a smile playing on her lips. She knew Dugdale had taken the bait, and with his extensive network of contacts, many things would become much easier.
Ivan, on the other hand, was completely unaware of this.
After testing the effects of the Improved Wolfsbane Potion and confirming that they matched the System's display, Ivan decided to take a hands-off approach. He sent Fren and others to Aisha, asking her to arrange and manage the work of these Werewolf Wizards, while he focused on other research topics.
He hadn't forgotten about the final task: to develop the Improved Polyjuice Potion and have Hermione send it to his past self to complete the time loop.
Recently, due to Brock's good performance and his teachings in Alchemy, Ivan had felt reluctant to use Brock as a guinea pig, so the Potion research had temporarily stalled.
Now, with Fren bringing back two new spies to serve as test subjects, the research could resume.
A few days passed quickly.
The progress of the Improved Polyjuice Potion research was faster than Ivan had expected. He found a wealth of dark and evil human experiments in the precious dark magic books he obtained from Borgin and Burkes, which saved a lot of research time.
Even so, the two "guinea pigs" were severely tormented over the days, and without the memory-erasing spell, they had begun to show signs of mental instability.
So, after the Potion was brewed, Ivan mercifully ended their lives and used the repaired Ring of Fiendfyre to burn their bodies to ashes.
Everything went smoothly, but the one thing that puzzled Ivan was why he had not yet been transported back to his original time.
Could this time be so long?
Ivan furrowed his brow. Before using the Time Turner to reverse time, he had conducted a test, proving that if a single time travel exceeded five hours, he could be kicked back to his original time point at any moment.
However, the specific duration of the stay was not measured, seemingly random and without any pattern.
"Forget it, since everything that needed to be done is finished, I might as well return to Hogwarts tomorrow", Ivan said to himself as he picked up the improved Polyjuice Potion and placed it in the pocket of his Wizard robe.
He had already spent two full months in Knockturn Alley, and the day after tomorrow was the start of the school year on September 1st.
Additionally, Ivan hadn't forgotten that he had arrived on a Thestral. If the large creature was still waiting in the forest, he would need to take it back with him.
Ivan made up his mind internally, so in the afternoon, he found Aisha and told her about his plan to head to Hogwarts the next day.
"Tomorrow? But school doesn’t start until the day after tomorrow, right?" Dugdale asked curiously from the side.
Ivan didn't bother to explain, casually brushing it off. He hadn't told Dugdale about the Time Turner, not wanting to risk him guessing that he had blown up his house!
Dugdale didn't press further. After Ivan left, he turned to Aisha and asked,
"Should we discuss that matter with little Ivan in advance?"
"No", Aisha hesitated for a moment before shaking her head.
Since Ivan planned to return to Hogwarts, it was better not to mention it, so he wouldn't be distracted during his studies.
After all, Fleur and others had significantly increased their combat strength, and Dugdale had gathered many friends to support them, making them a formidable force in Knockturn Alley.
So it would be better to surprise Ivan when he returns!
Dugdale nodded, not arguing, and continued with another important question. "What about the funding? Have you thought about it?"
"That's not a concern. I found out the location of the shop's vault from Brock, and it contains over ten thousand Galleons. Even if we hire more people, we won't have to worry about funds in the short term", Aisha explained.
Unfortunately, the large sum of money the Brock family had in Gringotts was out of reach, but she could still try to take over Brock's business. Once they regain control of the Wizard market, they wouldn't need to worry about a lack of funds.
"That's good to hear!" Dugdale was immediately more at ease. While his friends were all skilled, they didn't come cheap.
"By the way, Dugdale, do you have any ideas about taking over Borgin and Burkes Magic Shop?" Aisha remembered the deed Ivan had brought back and had a thought.
She had never considered Borgin and Burkes Magic Shop before because she didn't want to cause trouble. After all, they had killed Brock, and getting involved in the dispute over the shop's ownership might raise suspicions from the Ministry of Magic.
But since Ivan had such ambitious goals, she could afford to be more aggressive and take risks.
After all, the location of Borgin and Burkes Magic Shop was excellent, and it served as a hub in Knockturn Alley, making it ideal for transforming into a base and meeting point for a powerful faction.
"Brock's shop?" Dugdale frowned, knowing that several troublesome individuals were eyeing Borgin and Burkes Magic Shop. It wouldn't be easy to take over.
However, when Aisha showed him the deed, Dugdale relaxed. He hadn't expected her to get her hands on it, but with this, they could definitely make a move.
Besides, his house had been blown up by Brock's people, and he needed a place to stay, which he could help manage!
