Chapter 357: Crushing Sengoku
Chapter 357: Crushing Sengoku
"So he's pulling wood from underground using gravity... No, we're on the coast... There can't be such a large piece of wood underground, this isn't the ability of the Gravity Fruit... That guy..."
Sengoku stared at the towering figure of Senro, with eyes that shone dangerously from beneath the canopy of maple leaves. A dangerous glint appeared in Sengoku's eyes as he clenched his jaw and threw a punch forward.
Despite Senro's immense size and the heart-quaking might it exuded, it was, after all, just wood. With his ability, Sengoku could easily shatter it!
Boom!!!
Sengoku's fist shot forward, causing the air to burst into a glowing orb that exploded with a terrifying impact, meeting the countless fists raining down.
The dozen or so massive fists hovering in the air trembled, their descent slowing before coming to a complete halt. Thin cracks began to appear on their surfaces.
But.
After shattering a dozen of Senro's fists with a single punch, instead of relaxing, Sengoku's expression changed drastically, and he looked on in disbelief.
"It didn't break... How is that possible..."
That punch had been thrown with almost his full strength, intending to completely shatter the entire wooden figure. Yet, it had only managed to stop a dozen fists, and even then, it had only cracked them without destroying a single one.
This was an unbelievable turn of events, as his Observation Haki clearly showed that those fists were not reinforced with Busoshoku Haki!
Just the sheer durability of the wood was enough to achieve this level of resilience!
As Sengoku stared on in shock and disbelief, more fists rained down like a tempest, engulfing the entire area around him.
"Aaahhhhhh..."
Sengoku let out a deafening roar as he frantically threw punch after punch, pushing his Devil Fruit ability to the limit and even enhancing his Busoshoku Haki to its peak.
Wooden splinters flew in all directions as the dozen or so fists closest to him were consecutively shattered by his relentless assault. However, the resilience of those fists far exceeded his imagination.
After barely managing to shatter several dozen fists,
One fist landed on his shoulder.
Boom!!!
The weight of that single punch felt like the collapse of a mountain.
The sound of a gigantic bronze bell being struck reverberated along the coast, and the ground beneath Sengoku's feet caved in, causing him to lose his balance and lurch forward.
He was now defenseless against the remaining onslaught of fists, and he could only stare wide-eyed, his expression aghast, as the countless fists bore down on him.
Boom! Boom! Boom!!!
Like dozens, or even hundreds, of gigantic bronze bells being struck simultaneously, the sound echoed for miles.
The entire coastline was rocked by a massive earthquake, the ground shattering like a spider web in all directions, reaching as far as the eye could see—nearly half the island.
An immense tsunami rose on the sea.
In the raging waters, the five warships looked like mere logs, tossed and turned by the waves until they were torn apart. Countless marines were swallowed by the angry sea.
Only those marine officers who could use the Moonwalk managed to stay afloat by stepping on air, but even they were overwhelmed by the terrifying aftermath and the surging waves, unable to maintain their positions and swept backward.
"Admiral Sengoku!!"
Someone exclaimed in horror.
Their voices were drowned out by the raging tumult.
Behind Senro, amidst the cracked earth, a massive wooden hand with its five fingers closed together rose. At its center was Nico Robin.
Even standing behind Senro and protected by one of his giant hands, the force of the shockwave made her hair dance wildly behind her, and the fierce wind made it hard for her to keep her eyes open. She could only use her Devil Fruit ability to extend dozens of arms, wrapping them around Senro's giant fingers to keep herself from being blown away.
"..."
Robin's hair finally settled, and the arms created by her Devil Fruit ability vanished one after another. With her small hands clutching the edge, she looked far ahead.
What lay before her was a breathtaking sight.
There!
Near the colossal Senro's body... what was once land had now become a sunken area as seawater rushed in to fill the void.
The island had split into two halves, and the buildings closest to this side were in ruins, the destruction increasing the nearer one got, with almost everything reduced to powder.
"This kind of battle..."
Even the usually calm Robin couldn't help but tremble at the sight.
The clash between Feng Ye and Sengoku had unleashed a disturbance that was almost greater than the Buster Call that destroyed Ohara. Even for her, this was an unimaginable display of power.
Not far away.
On top of Senro's massive head.
Feng Ye stood there calmly, gazing down at the flooding seawater and the shattered land. Senro's two huge hands were inserted into the ground and then lifted, scooping up a large portion of the broken beach and earth.
Swish! Swish!!
The sand and seawater slid off from between the giant palm's fingers, eventually revealing Sengoku's body at the very center.
Sengoku, at this moment, had returned to his usual human form, lying there bloodied and bruised.
That minuscule body,
Lay in the palm of Senro's gigantic hand,
This scene left countless people breathless.
"Admiral... Sengoku?"
A Marine vice admiral, floating in the sky with Moonwalk, stared at this scene with a stiff expression, cold sweat on his forehead. He swallowed hard and spoke with difficulty.
His expression was rigid, his body frozen in place, and the look he gave Feng Ye, standing atop Senro's head, held a hint of fear.
Defeated!
Sengoku had been beaten!
He was a Marine admiral, the pinnacle of the Marine combat force, the symbol of their power meant to deter all evil in the world, an indomitable existence! The vice admiral's heart trembled violently.
He had never imagined Sengoku would be defeated.
After all, this mission wasn't in the New World, nor was it against the likes of Whitebeard or Kaido; it was merely the first half of an operation against an unknown figure.
A Marine admiral had been defeated...
This news would deal a severe blow to the Marines' prestige, and the World Government would undoubtedly try to cover it up. But such a massive incident would be hard to hide.
The news would spread across the seas!
"Still alive, huh."
Feng Ye gazed at Sengoku, lying there, and a faint smile appeared on his face. "As expected of a Marine admiral, your strength is indeed formidable."
Along with his faint smile, the two giant hands moved slightly and then turned upward, about to join together in a clap.
But.
Just at that moment, Feng Ye's eyes suddenly turned cold.
He turned his head and looked behind Senro, where a huge lava fist was about to smash into the hand that protected Robin.
