Chapter 351: So Even You Were Kept in the Dark!
Chapter 351: So Even You Were Kept in the Dark!
"Who?" Ivan asked, somewhat curious.
"Nicolas Flamel!" Brock slowly uttered a name.
Hearing this name, Ivan was suddenly enlightened!
Apart from this legendary alchemist who lived for over six hundred years, there was indeed no one else.
During Nicolas Flamel's time, the method for creating a Time Turner still existed, so it was highly likely that he had some expertise in this area.
However, Ivan soon felt a bit discouraged. Brock's words were like saying nothing, as an alchemist of Nicolas Flamel's caliber was not someone Ivan could easily reach.
Moreover, Nicolas had recently destroyed the Philosopher's Stone, which was used to create the elixir of life, and Ivan wasn't even sure if the man was still alive.
With this thought, Ivan put aside his investigative ideas and took a Protective Ring from his Wizard's robe pocket, tossing it on the ground.
Due to Brock's recent good behavior, Ivan usually untied the ropes binding his wrists when discussing Alchemy, as it was inconvenient to teach Runes without being able to draw diagrams.
Ivan wasn't worried about Brock suddenly attacking, as the man had neither a Wand nor those intricate magical tools he once possessed. It wouldn't take much effort for Ivan to subdue him.
"You've already finished it? So quickly?" Brock picked up the Protective Ring Ivan had tossed on the ground, examining it for a few moments. He immediately realized that Ivan had turned their previous discussion into reality, creating a finished product.
"Of course!" Ivan nodded confidently.
After carefully studying it, Brock saw that Ivan had set up a detection mechanism inside the Protective Ring. It would send a reverse shock to the wearer if it detected a certain magical fluctuation, rendering them unconscious.
Why not kill them?
Brock understood this well. If all the Aurors were eliminated at once, who would maintain order? It was enough to remove the die-hard loyalists, and the rest would naturally defect and surrender.
"How is it?" Ivan asked.
"Very ingenious. If I hadn't known you tampered with this ring, I probably wouldn't have noticed", Brock marveled. Ivan's learning ability, or rather his talent in Alchemy, far exceeded his expectations!
In just over a week, the other party had absorbed and understood the knowledge he had taught and could already apply it preliminarily.
Brock had never seen such a versatile person. Generally, a person's energy is limited, especially when they are young. Achieving success in one area usually means diverting energy from other areas.
But Ivan seemed to be an all-rounder. Brock remembered that this young Wizard was the developer of the Wolfsbane Potion, indicating a high level of expertise in Potions.
Coupled with outstanding strength and a good grasp of Alchemy, if he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, Brock wouldn't have believed such a person existed.
It would be best to hollow out the inside of the ring and engrave the Runes on the inner surface. This way, unless the ring was deliberately destroyed, it would be very difficult to detect any tampering.
The two discussed for the entire afternoon, until it was time for dinner. Ivan habitually waved his Wand to rebind Brock, who showed no intention of resisting.
Brock was well aware that he had not yet gained Ivan's trust, so he was very patient.

It didn't matter to him how many people he was teaching.
