Chapter 351: Return to Golden Sparrow City
Chapter 351: Return to Golden Sparrow City
This main storyline comes with a significant perk for players: the entire Western Continent is now fully accessible!
Players can now explore, trade, experience new dungeons, and uncover hidden quests in the Western Continent. Although the second expansion pack is set to release on September 1st, just three days away, players are eager to dive into the new content as soon as possible.
However, most players haven't yet realized this benefit.
As Su Yu's message spread through the major chat rooms, they erupted with excitement.
Neon Nuclear Wastewater: "What the heck! The Western Continent is already fully open? I didn't expect to have new content to play before the new expansion even launches!"
Amazing Jeffries: "What I'm most concerned about is the first kill in the dungeons! Can any of the big shots tell me how many dungeons are in the Western Continent and what levels are required to enter them?"
Sword God of Ten Mile Slope: "Based on my research of these small countries before the quest started, each principality or federation has about 3-5 dungeons, and each kingdom has 30-50. However, we are generally only at levels 27 or 28, so we can probably only access a hundred or so dungeons!"
Paimon Broth: "What are we waiting for? Let's rush in and grab those first kills!"
United We Stand: "Level 29 Swordsman Tower needs a group, level 29 Assassin also needs a group, can stealth and lockpick!"
Han Li the Runner: "Fellow players, hold on a moment! Shouldn't we go to General K first to collect our rewards? It's 20,000 Psychic Coins per person!"
Shaolin Temple Sweeper: "You're right! Thanks for the reminder, fellow player."
Su Yu stood in the center of the Royal Palace of Lumina.
After receiving the message, players from all directions eagerly rushed toward him.
"General K, we're here to turn in our quests!"
"General K, it's time to start distributing the rewards!"
"General K, hurry up and give us the money! I can't wait to grab those first kills!"
The players shouted loudly.
"Alright, everyone, one at a time, please don't crowd," Su Yu smiled.
He opened the quest agency panel, and a large golden question mark appeared above his head.
The players quickly approached and submitted their quests.
Su Yu's game log began to rapidly update:
" Ding, player 'Aisin Gioro Temujin' has completed the quest, you receive 1% commission, totaling 238 Psychic Coins and 345 experience points."
" Ding, player 'Vatican Manjushri Bodhisattva' has completed the quest, you receive 1% commission, totaling 241 Psychic Coins and 345 experience points."
" Ding, player 'Loves Bathing Skin'..."
For each player who received a reward, Su Yu earned a 1% commission.
As the players turned in their quests one by one, his inventory filled with over 2 million Psychic Coins and 3 million "cat food."
The "cat food" was very useful for Su Yu, allowing him to quickly restore the strength of Morning Star.
The 2 million Psychic Coins, however, weren't particularly useful to him, so he didn't pay much attention to them.
After turning in their quests, many players were bathed in a brilliant golden light, a sign of leveling up.
A few, like Snow Leopard and True Red, who were already at the level 29 cap, did not level up. Instead, they curiously examined the transparent [Experience Crystals] they had received.
Apart from leveling up, the first thing players did was check their inventory to see how many Psychic Coins they had.
Seeing the [Psychic Coins] section jump from three digits to five, many players let out satisfied groans:
"Finally, I'm rich! I can afford to buy some skills and a few purple items to indulge myself."
"Buy quickly! The cheaper items will be snatched up soon!"
"You're right, let's go now!"
Some players eagerly headed for the auction house, some formed groups to grab first kills, and others set out to find hidden quests. The entire palace was a scene of bustling activity.
Seeing the players so happy, Su Yu felt a great sense of satisfaction.
This was his small but significant contribution to enhancing humanity's strength!
After all the players had completed their tasks, Su Yu and Tina returned to Golden Gorse City with Antonidas's teleportation array.
Golden Gorse City was bustling with activity.
The princess was highly revered among the common folk, and the citizens of Golden Gorse City held her in especially high regard.
Riding on Dimah, Su Yu saw NPCs on both sides of the road smiling and streets covered in petals, as if they were walking on a carpet of flowers.
As they made their way forward, Su Yu and Tina arrived at their destination—the Golden Gorse Palace.
Upon learning of Su Yu and Tina's arrival, the princess's guard, Caideron, hurried to the palace gates.
Spotting them from a distance, Caideron quickly bowed. "Lord Bane, Lady Tina, you've finally returned! Her Highness will be overjoyed to see you!"
"It's been a while, Caideron!" Su Yu greeted him with a smile, casually slipping him a blue gemstone worth thousands of psychic coins as a gift.
Caideron's mood lifted, and he respectfully led the two of them into the palace.
The Golden Gorse Palace had changed since Su Yu's last visit.
After the princess withdrew, the rebels had occupied the palace, though they hadn't caused significant damage to the buildings. Still, there were visible signs of destruction and burn marks as they walked through the halls.
In the grand hall at the center of the palace, Su Yu and Tina met with Alyssa.
Alyssa sat on her high throne, discussing matters with the ministers seated or standing below her.
Seeing Su Yu and Tina, she paused her discussion and stood up, visibly excited. "Bane, Tina, you're finally back!"
At the sight of Su Yu, Alyssa felt an overwhelming urge to rush into his arms.
However, she restrained herself, considering the presence of her ministers and Tina. She would have her moment later.
"Your Highness, we're back!" Su Yu and Tina answered in unison.
Su Yu performed a mage's bow to the princess.
Tina, who hadn't sworn fealty to the princess, simply gave a knight's bow.
The ministers in the hall also greeted Su Yu and Tina. "Marshal Garcia, Lord Bane, it's been a long time! We didn't expect you back today!"
At that moment, a minister in his fifties with graying temples ran over to Su Yu and Tina.
As he ran, he asked excitedly, "Lord Bane, Marshal Garcia, how did the mission's spoils turn out? Will they cover the empire's debts?"
Su Yu recognized the man as Bryan Monk, the empire's finance minister.
"What? Didn't Her Highness tell you the amount we recovered?" Su Yu asked curiously.
During the campaign, Su Yu had been reporting daily to Alyssa via magical communication, including details about the spoils.
He hadn't expected the princess to keep it a secret from her ministers.
"She didn't," Bryan said with a grimace. "She always says, 'The final numbers aren't confirmed, so it's not convenient to reveal them.'"
"Lord Bane, you didn't mess up this mission, did you?" Bryan asked, worried.
