The call ended, leaving the two men in the room staring at each other.
They never expected such an outcome.
"What should we do now?" one of them asked.
The man opened his mouth, "Should we try calling again?"
Bing Li silently handed the phone to him, the meaning was clear—it was his turn now.
The man shrank back, his neck recoiling.
"Or...maybe we should just forget about it."
Bing Li glanced at him but said nothing.
After all, even he didn't have the courage to make that call again.
"Sigh..." The man heaved a heavy sigh.
"Are we just going to watch that kid grow stronger day by day?"
He deeply regretted not taking action sooner.
If he had known this would happen, he should have killed Jiang Cheng right from the start.
No, he shouldn't have even thought of using him in the first place, let alone bringing him in.
"There's one more option." Bing Li suddenly spoke up.

It wouldn't be that easy for them to manipulate him.

"Yes." The man sighed.

Bing Li hesitated for a moment, then found Wang Tong's number in his contacts and dialed it.
Doing something was better than doing nothing.

Soon, the call connected, and on the other end, a middle-aged man's voice could be heard.
"Is this Hong Bin? Why the sudden call?" The man's voice sounded amiable, as if he was unaware of the events at Gale Martial Arts Academy the night before.
"Mayor Wang, I know your time is precious, so I'll get straight to the point." Bing Li said.
"You must know about Xie Tian's murder last night, right?"
Mayor Wang's smile froze slightly.
He did know, and he had found out the night before. He had immediately dispatched people to investigate, but so far, the clues were limited.
"So, you have some information about the murderer?" Mayor Wang's smile returned.
"To be honest, I do know who the murderer is, although it's just my guess. But I'm almost certain."
"A guess? Tell me more."
Mayor Wang's heart was unmoved by Xie Tian's death.
He was just a dog, an unruly one at that.

"Why?"
Mayor Wang asked harshly.

However, based on his understanding of Mayor Wang, it was highly likely.
