Chapter 348: Voldemort! You Damn Fool!
Chapter 348: Voldemort! You Damn Fool!
Dumbledore, accompanied by Scrimgeour, Fudge, and the Ministry of Magic's Aurors, used Apparition to arrive at the graveyard on the hillside.
There was no one left here, and the Anti-Apparition Charm had been lifted when Sherlock escaped.
In the darkness, apart from the large cauldron, there was no sign of any living being.
Fudge, whose arm Dumbledore was holding, trembled involuntarily.
He was afraid, afraid that in this place, the old man who had always appeared kind and benevolent would reveal his hidden fangs and eliminate him on this dark and stormy night.
"Ah, Albus. If you have any issues, we can talk them out. There's no need to go to such extremes. I just want to be a stable Minister. If you truly want that power, I can be your puppet. This way, you can control the wizarding world from behind the scenes more safely!"
His words did not change Dumbledore's expression in the slightest, but Scrimgeour, standing nearby, looked at Fudge with disgust.
This old Auror had served as the head of the Auror Office through no fewer than three Ministers of Magic, and the most contemptible and weak among them was the one standing before him.
He was even less resolute than his predecessor, the female Minister.
Dumbledore furrowed his brow and raised the Elder Wand in his hand, as if he hadn't even heard Fudge. He quietly cast a spell.
"Trace Revealing Spell."
A golden vortex appeared in front of him, one end of the vortex subtly pointing in a specific direction, guiding them.
This spell could trace the movements of the person they were looking for, but it would be ineffective if that person had disappeared using Apparition or a Portkey.
Now, the golden vortex had revealed Sherlock's location.
"Have your men be on alert", Dumbledore said to Scrimgeour.
Scrimgeour immediately turned and raised a hand to the Aurors standing behind them.
A dozen Aurors mounted their broomsticks and took to the sky, scanning the area below and heading in the direction indicated by the vortex.
They moved quickly, with Dumbledore and Scrimgeour leading the way on the ground.
Even if Fudge was foolish, he could now see that Dumbledore's grand display tonight was not directed at him.
He was half-forced, half-willingly moving forward until they reached the woods where Sherlock was surrounded by Death Eaters.
The Aurors in the sky were the first to spot the situation.
The Death Eaters in the woods were not hiding; they had never expected anyone else to find this place tonight.
Just as Scrimgeour was about to order the Aurors to prepare for action, something significant happened on the Death Eaters' side!
The masked villains were screaming in terror and running in one direction, casting spells!
Dumbledore, Scrimgeour, Fudge, and the nearly hundred Aurors present all saw the scene that had caused such panic.
Under the pale moonlight, a ragged, blood-stained youth was raising a sharp blade, aimed at the monstrous figure on the ground!
The determined look in his eyes could not hide the savagery and brutality, and the roar that echoed through the forest was as sharp as the blade slicing through the still air!
"Voldemort! You damn fool!"
The sound of the blade piercing flesh was so clear, as if it had echoed right in the Aurors' ears. The title that the entire Wizarding World dared not speak aloud now seemed perfectly fitting in the boy's angry outburst.
"Thud!"
Even a Dark Lord could bleed, and the blood was a vivid red.
Voldemort, who had just snapped out of his brief shock, looked at Sherlock's face, which was mere inches away, with disbelief.
The blade in Sherlock's hand was now visibly embedded in Voldemort's chest.
The intense pain, a sensation he hadn't felt in years, instantly spread through his entire body!
The Aurors, Scrimgeour, and Fudge were all stunned by the scene.
They didn't yet understand who the person lying on the ground with a blade through their chest was, but the current situation was enough to make them realize that the boy who had raised the knife under the moonlight had done something extraordinary!
The first Death Eaters to react swung their wands in fear, releasing a barrage of spells toward Sherlock's back.
But the colorful spells, including Killing Curses, Stunning Spells, Petrification Spells, Disarming Charms, and more, were all blocked by a hedge that suddenly rose from the ground.
Dumbledore lightly tapped his wand, helping Sherlock fend off these deadly spells.
Voldemort's voice, filled with rage, accompanied a sudden explosion of dark mist!
"How dare you!"
Under Sherlock's blade, the Dark Lord's body had vanished, and the surrounding area was now shrouded in a thick black fog!
Dumbledore's expression was grave as he raised his wand. The trees in the forest, as if receiving a command, rustled their leaves despite the lack of wind.
This was the prelude to a grand transformation.
The emerald green leaves of early summer extended and grew like snakes, turning into vines that spread along the branches in all directions, attempting to contain the black mist that enveloped the forest.
But even the densest vines couldn't hold back a gaseous form.
The dark mist had no intention of confronting Dumbledore. It rose and, in an instant, all the darkness vanished from the forest!
The Death Eaters, who had been in shock at Sherlock's actions, now came to their senses. With their master's escape, they wasted no time, mounting their broomsticks and attempting to flee the forest.
The Aurors finally recovered from the unforgettable scene and, led by Scrimgeour, began to pursue and intercept the fleeing Death Eaters.
At this moment, Dumbledore walked over to Sherlock.
Sherlock weakly knelt on the ground, his wand having returned to its original form. The only evidence of its recent feat was the trail of blood sliding down its length.
Struggling to open his eyes, Sherlock looked up at Dumbledore, and despite his condition, he managed a radiant smile.
"Too bad, Professor. I had hoped to kill him once and leave him with an unforgettable memory."
Dumbledore's voice was as gentle as it was during their conversations in the Headmaster's office.
"What you have left him with is already more than enough to ensure that everyone who witnessed this will never forget it."
