Chapter 341: Mother and Son Mixed Doubles
Chapter 341: Mother and Son Mixed Doubles
Ivan found it strange that only Aisha had arrived.
Just as Brock and the others were focused on the two of them, a nearby window suddenly shattered. A brown-gray werewolf leaped in from outside, crashing into the crowd and causing chaos.
The brown-gray werewolf then forced its way through a few Spells, dragging one of the Death Eaters to the side.
Dugdale, Fleur, and the others quickly joined in, casting several Spells in quick succession. The unprepared Death Eaters were forced to retreat.
"Sectumsempra!" Ivan, of course, wouldn't miss this golden opportunity. A Sectumsempra Spell aimed directly at Brock hit him in the chest.
Aisha also targeted another Death Eater. The eyes of the Puffball on her shoulder emitted a blue glow, drawing the Death Eater's attention.
In that moment of distraction, Aisha's Wand flicked, and the Runes on the black silk glove on her right hand lit up. Two Spells struck the Death Eater, sending him flying into the Rubble, where he lay for a long time, unable to get up.
Aisha then focused on her next target, but this time it wasn't as easy. The opponent was less affected and quickly regained his senses, but he looked at Aisha with a hint of fear.
"Reducio!"
Before Aisha could make another move, a bright light shot over from the side. She barely managed to dodge, turning to see Brock getting up from the ground.
Brock, clutching his chest, glared at Ivan and then looked at Aisha, speaking to the nearby Death Eater.
"Avoid looking at the thing on her shoulder; its eyes can affect the mind!"
That was likely some protective magical item that had saved him from the Spell.
Brock's gaze swept over the mother and son, and he heard several cries of pain. Not wanting to delay any longer, he waved his Wand, and black mist surged, forming two massive black pythons, each about nine meters long, which shot out.
"Cruciatus Curse!" Another Death Eater, after casting a Shield Charm on himself, recited the Spell again.
Ivan had already transformed the nearest counter into a Bull using a Transfiguration Spell, which charged at Brock and the others with a violent force.
The two giant pythons bit into the Bull but couldn't cause much damage. The Cruciatus Curse made the Bull even more frenzied. Brock and the others had to fight a retreating battle, moving from the living room to the front of the store.
Colorful Spell lights darted through the dimly lit magic shop, causing the shelves and cabinets to collapse in explosions.
Brock's heart ached as he cast a Crushing Curse, turning the battered Bull into a pile of splintered wood. He then rolled awkwardly to avoid Ivan's Invisible Blade.
Compared to the experienced Brock, the other Death Eater was much weaker. Under the pressure from Ivan and Aisha, he soon exposed a weakness.
The mother and son seized the opportunity, combining their Spells to kill him on the spot.
With the Death Eater lying on the ground, only Brock remained in front of them.
Watching Ivan and Aisha approaching, Brock gritted his teeth and, with a fierce resolve, threw the Scrying Eye he was holding towards them.
"Fragmentation Curse!" Ivan dared not let the thing get close, and a Spell shattered it into pieces!
However, as the Scrying Eye broke, a piercing screech echoed through the magic shop, shattering the glass cases holding magical items.
The magical shockwaves made Ivan feel as if something had pierced his brain, stirring it from within. He couldn't help but cover his ears, but the sound continued to penetrate his mind.
Aisha reacted similarly to Ivan, also affected by the noise. The sounds of combat and struggle in the Dark Magic Shop were momentarily drowned out by this deafening screech.
The only one unaffected was Brock. Without hesitation, he immediately locked onto the greatest threat, Ivan, and a green light streaked through the air.
"Avada Kedavra!"
Seeing this, Aisha's heart clenched. She wanted to do something, but her mind was foggy, and she couldn't move.
Ivan was in a slightly better state. Having practiced Occlumency to nearly the fifth level, he retained some ability to act, though it wasn't enough to dodge the killing curse.
Fortunately, with a thought, a white light zipped through the obstacles and transformed into a solid form, intercepting the green light and exploding into a cloud of light mist.
Cecilia had sacrificed herself for him again!
Ivan's face darkened. The Bloodline Magic Shadow of the Unicorn in his system bar had turned black and gray, temporarily unusable. However, the danger was not yet over.
Brock raised his hand to cast another Spell!
Ivan's dark eyes instantly changed to orange-yellow Serpent Eyes. Under his gaze, Brock's raised hand halted, and his body stiffened.
Ivan's already limited magical power was drained again, and the screeching sound piercing his brain forced his Serpent Eyes to terminate after just a moment!
Fortunately, at the same time, Puffball on Aisha's shoulder suddenly leaped up.
In mid-air, the fluffy ball extended its sides, and its mouth opened, revealing sharp teeth like nails. It bit directly into Brock's face, tearing off a piece of his nose!
"Ah!!!" Brock let out a shrill scream, interrupting his Spell.
The piercing screech that had reverberated through the magic shop abruptly stopped, and Ivan and Aisha regained their ability to move.
"Thunderclap Explosion!"
"Thunderclap Explosion!"
The moment the screech stopped, the mother and son, driven by fury, cast their Spells together. Two large orange fireballs slammed into Brock, sending him flying.
When the dust settled, Brock's body was covered in burns and cuts, his Wizard robe torn to shreds. He lay moaning in the Rubble, and the ring on his left hand had shattered.
Clearly, the protective charm had absorbed most of the damage; otherwise, he would have been blown to pieces by the Thunderclap Explosion.
Even so, Brock had lost the ability to resist. His Wand was buried in the Rubble, and he couldn't even stand up.
