Chapter 340: You Really Are Not Dead!
Chapter 340: You Really Are Not Dead!
Ordinary Guardians were no match for the Shadow of the Unicorn, but this did indeed alert the other Death Eaters that the Expecto Patronum spell could affect this white Light.
Realizing this, the other Death Eaters cast their spells in unison.
However, since those whose minds had been corrupted by dark magic could not use the Expecto Patronum spell, out of the ten people present, only Brock and three other Death Eaters managed to summon their Guardians.
Several beams of Light floated out from the tips of their Wands, transforming into a large turkey and two foxes.
The various Guardians rushed forward, and the weasel, nearly scattered into a mist, followed closely behind.
The powerful Shadow of the Unicorn could easily kick and fling a Guardian into a mist with a single strike, but it wouldn't take long for these scattered Guardians to recondense and charge back fearlessly.
Seeing the four Guardians briefly restraining the white giant beast, Brock felt a slight relief, but he was also furious. A mere thirteen-year-old brat had caused such chaos and even killed Light right in front of everyone!
Brock felt utterly humiliated, his eyes fiercely scanning the spot where Ivan had been standing, only to find it empty.
However, Ivan had already taken advantage of the chaos to hide under his Invisibility Cloak, disappearing from their sight.
Ivan hadn't expected his blood magic to be restrained in such a way, and he gave Brock a deep look. It seemed that Brock was more formidable than he had imagined, to find a solution so quickly!
"That brat is still here, everyone, find him!" Brock turned and shouted at the Death Eaters who were still dazed and unsure.
After speaking, Brock released a detection spell, his powerful magic sweeping through the entire reception hall, but it found nothing.
Ivan, hidden under his Invisibility Cloak, moved freely through the chaotic battlefield. Seeing a Death Eater fully focused on controlling his Guardian, he stepped closer and cast a spell!
"Sectumsempra!"
An invisible blade of magic shot out, instantly severing the right arm of the Death Eater holding the Wand.
The next moment, a piercing scream echoed through the reception hall.
The Death Eater, clutching his right arm in pain, crashed into a cabinet behind him and tumbled to the ground.
Brock and the others reacted swiftly, locking onto Ivan's position the moment he cast the spell. Without hesitation, a barrage of colorful spells flew toward him.
Ivan, under the Invisibility Cloak, sensed the danger. His Protective Ring alone was not enough to withstand so many spells!
But he still had his Power Ring!
Ivan released the stored power in the Power Ring without reservation, a powerful wave of magic spreading out in all directions. The spells that hadn't yet reached him were extinguished, and a nearby Dark Wizard was thrown back.
Ivan rolled away from his previous position, using the Invisibility Cloak to disappear once more.
Brock was nearly fuming with rage. To him, Ivan was like a rat scurrying around, disgustingly elusive.
However, the failure of the detection spell also made Brock more cautious. He realized that Ivan was not wearing an ordinary Invisibility Cloak, otherwise, it would not have been so powerful.
"I want to see how long you can hide!" Brock, though angry, did not let his rage consume his reason. He quickly found a solution, waved his Wand, and the Azure Candles in the corners of the room went out, plunging the hall into darkness.
Everyone looked at Brock in confusion, suspecting that he had lost his mind. Brock pointed his Wand again, and a beam of white light hit the ceiling.
Under the shock, specks of glowing powder rained down from the sky, enveloping everyone in the living room and turning the room blue.
The powder also landed on the invisible cloak that Ivan was wearing, outlining his figure. Brock instantly locked onto Ivan's position and a strange green light cut through the darkness.
Avada Kedavra!
Ivan's face changed abruptly. He flicked his Wand, and a sturdy cabinet was lifted to shield him. The green light hit the cabinet and exploded into a pile of wood chips.
The other Death Eaters reacted quickly, firing several Spells that quickly reduced the cabinet to pieces!
Ivan managed to construct a few Magic Barriers, but they were all shattered one by one. In the end, he barely managed to withstand the attack with his Protective Ring.
However, more Spells came flying at him almost immediately.
After being severely mocked by Ivan, everyone was filled with resentment. Now that they had finally found Ivan, they vented their anger all at once.
Facing wave after wave of relentless attacks, Ivan felt helpless. Dealing with several powerful Wizards head-on was extremely difficult for him at the moment.
Fortunately, at this moment, an orange fireball crashed through a hole on the left side and surged towards the group of Death Eaters.
Brock and his companions had no choice but to assign some of their people to cast defensive Spells to block the fireball.
The pressure on Ivan immediately decreased, and he couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. Reinforcements had finally arrived!
Although it had only been a few dozen seconds since he cast his first Spell, it felt incredibly long to Ivan, especially after the Invisibility Cloak failed. Every second made him feel on edge!
After easily blocking the Thunderclap Explosion, Brock turned his head sharply towards the hole on the right, his face turning grim.
Through the smoke, Aisha's figure emerged. She was wearing a light blue battle Wizard robe, looking especially efficient. A cute Puffball was perched on her shoulder, its two blue-glowing eyes standing out in the dim living room.
Seeing that Ivan was unharmed, Aisha breathed a sigh of relief. She then surveyed the devastated living room and the charred corpse on the floor, feeling quite surprised. She hadn't expected that Ivan could hold his own against Brock and the others.
"Aisha! You're really not dead!" Brock said through gritted teeth, clearly his spies had been deceived.
However, after a brief moment of surprise, Brock sneered. If Aisha and Ivan were both wearing those strange Invisibility Cloaks and ambushing them from the shadows, they might have caused some trouble.
But now, appearing in broad daylight was clearly a sign of foolishness. It was the perfect opportunity for him to kill this brat and Aisha at the same time.
