Chapter 334: Su Shaoying Finally Draws His Sword Again
Chapter 334: Su Shaoying Finally Draws His Sword Again
"A misunderstanding?" Jia Leshan asked.
"A misunderstanding," Su Shaoying nodded.
"Do you take me for a fool?" Jia Leshan asked the same question again.
Su Shaoying sighed, "Of course you're not a fool."
"Then, what is your true purpose for coming to me with Lu Xiaofeng? Is it because of the people from the Haiyu Island Feng family or the remnants of Fei'e Mountain?" Jia Leshan asked in a deep voice.
Su Shaoying was speechless, "Didn't you hear what I said just now?"
"I heard, but do you think I'll believe it?" Jia Leshan smiled gently, his confusion cleared, "Your excuse is quite clever and plausible, but what does Ouyang Yue's death in the Nangong family have to do with you?"
Su Shaoying sighed, "Nothing at all."
"Moreover, I have no conflicts with the Nangong and Ouyang families, and we don't even know each other. Why would I kill him?" Jia Leshan said calmly, "I don't even have any motive."
"That's true." Su Shaoying nodded in agreement.
"So there must be another reason why you sought me out." Jia Leshan said, "What is that reason?"
"Is the honest monk still coming to your place to preach tomorrow?" Su Shaoying asked suddenly.
Jia Leshan frowned, "Yes."
Since returning to the land from the sea, Jia Leshan had not only transformed himself into a great philanthropist but also frequently invited Buddhist monks and Taoist scholars from around Jinling to preach and offer blessings. He also invited the neighboring villagers to listen to the sermons, further enhancing his benevolent reputation.
As luck would have it, he had met the honest monk a few days ago and invited him to come and preach.
So the honest monk was indeed telling the truth. Even if Su Shaoying brought him here for a face-to-face confrontation, he couldn't accuse the monk of framing Jia Leshan.
"Alright, I'll lay my cards on the table. We actually wanted to befriend you. We used Ouyang Yue's incident to scare you, and then we wanted to ask your permission to listen to the honest monk's preaching at your place." Su Shaoying said.
Jia Leshan was stunned. How could someone be so shameless?
Chu Chu, who was beside Jia Leshan, looked at Su Shaoying as if he were an idiot, while Ouyang Qing and Ma Xiuzhen barely managed to hold back their laughter and prepared to take action at any moment.
As expected, Jia Leshan's gaze at Su Shaoying turned cold, "Since that's the case, please come with me, Su Xiaoxia and the two young ladies, to my residence for a chat. We can continue our conversation tomorrow when Lu Xiaofeng arrives."
In the next moment, Huayu Kun and the swordsman in black, Du Bai, made their moves together.
Huayu Kun flicked his middle finger, and his three-inch-long fingernail shot out, aiming for Ma Xiuzhen's neck.
Du Bai drew his long sword and stabbed directly at Ouyang Qing's shoulder.
Another person suddenly flipped through the window into the room, positioning himself above and behind Jia Leshan and Chu Chu. With his feet hooked around the window frame, he waved his hands, sending two or three dozen hidden weapons toward Su Shaoying and the two women beside him.
Ma Xiuzhen drew her long sword and, in a swift motion, pointed it at Huayu Kun's chest.
As the leader of the Four Beauties of Emei, her martial arts talent was exceptionally high. At a young age, she had already made a name for herself in the Jianghu. Although Huayu Kun's internal skills were more advanced than hers, his techniques and skills might not necessarily surpass hers.
On the other side, Ouyang Qing also drew a short sword from her sleeve and attacked with a side door rush, her moves sharp and fierce. Despite Du Bai's single sword strike, she managed to stab out three or four swords in quick succession, proving herself to be a top-notch swordsman in the Jianghu.
The martial arts skills of Ma Xiuzhen and Ouyang Qing clearly caught Huayu Kun and Du Bai off guard. They had assumed that the two women would be busy dodging the hidden weapons and would not be able to fully engage them.
However, they had not expected that the two women would trust Su Shaoying so completely.
Facing the onslaught of hidden weapons, Su Shaoying neither blocked nor dodged. Instead, he tucked his hands into his sleeves and, with a wave and a brush, caused the two or three dozen hidden weapons to disappear into his sleeves as if they were birds returning to the forest. Then, with even more swift and fierce momentum, he struck back at Huayu Kun and Du Bai behind him.
Jia Leshan and Chu Chu exclaimed in surprise. Huayu Kun and Du Bai found themselves facing a dozen hidden weapons, in addition to the attacks from Ma Xiuzhen and Ouyang Qing, leaving them with no opportunity to defend themselves.
"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"
The two men grunted as they barely managed to block the initial assault, quickly retreating to the doorway before coming to a halt. However, they now bore signs of injury, with bloodstains on their clothes.
Huayu Kun had been struck by two hidden weapons, his fingernail clipped by Ma Xiuzhen's sword.
Du Bai fared worse, hit by three hidden weapons, and his arm pierced by Ouyang Qing's sword.
"What kind of martial art is this?" Jia Leshan asked, his eyes narrowing as he looked at Su Shaoying. "The Emei Sect doesn't have such skills."
"It's just a combination of the Wudang-style Cloud-flying Sleeves and a technique to borrow and redirect force. It's a minor trick, really," Su Shaoying replied with a laugh.
Jia Leshan's face twitched. "As a disciple of the Emei Sect, is it appropriate to use Wudang martial arts?"
"If you want to witness my true Emei swordplay, then only Iron-Faced Dragon King himself would be worthy," Su Shaoying said with a smile, implying that Jia Leshan's subordinates weren't qualified, and also elevating the reputation of the Emei Sect's martial arts.
Upon hearing this, Jia Leshan's gaze turned cold as he fixed his eyes on Su Shaoying, focusing on his hands resting on the table and the ordinary longsword by his side.
The atmosphere in the room grew tense, even Ma Xiuzhen and Ouyang Qing's breathing became slightly hurried.
A decade ago, Iron-Faced Dragon King had dominated the martial world, his name forged in the blood and carnage of countless battles at sea. There was no doubt that Jia Leshan, who had emerged from those battles with his crew, possessed genuine skill.
How could his martial arts be anything but exceptional? He was undoubtedly one of the top experts in the jianghu, as evidenced by the fact that Huayu Kun, Du Bai, and the hidden weapon master Hu Xin all served under him.
"I underestimated you," Jia Leshan said calmly. "I thought Lu Xiaofeng would be the more difficult opponent, but it seems you've hidden your true strength even more deeply."
Su Shaoying turned to Ouyang Qing and Ma Xiuzhen. "It's so unfair! Why do so many people say that I'm hiding my strength? I'm not hiding anything; I just rarely take action, that's all."
Hearing this, Ma Xiuzhen and Ouyang Qing couldn't help but smile.
In the next moment, Jia Leshan suddenly attacked. He threw a left punch and a right palm strike, aiming to crush Su Shaoying's resistance with a single blow to the chest and abdomen.
Despite his scholarly appearance, Jia Leshan's movement was like thunder, carrying a fierce and overwhelming pressure befitting someone who had fought their way through the seas.
The momentum of this strike was even more formidable than Jin Jiuling's attack with the large iron mace.
No wonder Chu Chu, Huayu Kun, and the others had trembled in fear after ambushing Jia Leshan in the original story. His martial arts truly surpassed theirs.
Ma Xiuzhen and Ouyang Qing's expressions changed, and then they heard a sharp sound as Su Shaoying drew his sword, enveloping Jia Leshan in a flash of silver light.
Like a broken silver bottle spilling forth its contents, or a cavalry charge amid the clash of blades and spears!
Su Shaoying's swordplay was like liquid mercury spilling across the ground, like a cascading waterfall, penetrating all defenses.
"What?!"
Su Shaoying's sword technique far exceeded Jia Leshan's expectations, causing his expression to change drastically. He quickly retreated, but Su Shaoying pursued, the sword light transforming into silvery flowing water that effortlessly enveloped Jia Leshan.
Jia Leshan let out a painful cry as he abruptly stopped, his left hand clutching his right arm, blood dripping down. His eyes were filled with shock as he stared at Su Shaoying.
Su Shaoying, however, had already returned to his seat and was gently wiping his sword with a cloth. Everyone could clearly see that the cloth now bore a crimson stain from the sword's edge.
"Strong force, ample momentum, but lacking in technique. My assessment is that he's not as skilled as Jin Jiuling," Su Shaoying commented casually.
