Chapter 332: I'll Kill You!
Chapter 332: I'll Kill You!
"Insight Crown, Ember Crown." As usual, Rod buffed himself and Mira first.
Sol, unhurried, said, "Fairy Strategist, originally known as Beastmaster, Summoner Archmage, capable of maintaining multiple summoned beasts simultaneously, excels in winning through sheer numbers, and close-range combat abilities are sufficient to deal with ordinary mobs..."
"But... not necessarily able to defeat the four of us, the elements." Sol flipped, "Dance of Sand, Symphony of Stone!"
A sandstorm suddenly appeared in the alley, blocking the trio's vision, followed by dozens of stones flying like cannonballs.
However, the biggest effect of a sandstorm in the rain was to cover the three of them in mud.
The golem charged forward without dodging or evading, and the stones that hit it didn't leave noticeable marks.
A massive fist slammed towards Sol's head, but he burrowed into the ground.
Rod held Lucy's armpits and lifted her like a child, tossing her onto the treant's back to avoid a sneak attack.
"Ah!" Lucy exclaimed.
Rod instructed, "Hold on tight, don't come down."
Mira glanced at Rod, who had never held her like this.
Lucy, lying on the treant's back, shouted to Rod, "I want to fight too!"
"As you wish!" Who's stopping you from fighting? Why don't you summon a Celestial Spirit? Rod commanded the golem to continue attacking Juvia.
Juvia didn't dodge, and the places where her body was hit turned into water streams, re-coalescing into a solid form, "It's useless, Juvia's body is made of water."
She waved and shot out two streams of water, "Water Slash!"
Mira waved her hand and dispersed the two streams of water, rushing towards Juvia.
"You actually know Juvia's magic..." Before she could finish her sentence, her abdomen was already punched, "I said, Juvia's body is... Wow!"
A flash of red light passed over Mira's fist.
Although Juvia's body was still turned into water streams, allowing Mira's fist to pass through, her abdomen still felt a sharp burning pain.
"Made of water? How about this move?" Mira held a black ball in her hand and pressed it against Juvia's chest, "Dark Spark!"
The black magic ball suddenly exploded, pushing Juvia's body out of the alley.
"Ahh—" Juvia felt such intense pain for the first time.
She covered her chest and stood up, looking at the terrifying woman walking towards her, the rain in the sky seemed to get heavier, "This is the Monstrosity... Mira!"
"Miss Juvia did well." Sol emerged from underground.
The treant raised its claws and slammed down, but only managed to hit the ground, creating a pit.
Sol emerged from behind the treant again, "You've lured the Monstrosity away, and you're nothing. What fairy strategist, just a show-off relying on his girlfriend's power."
Rod tried to attack several times, but the opponent was slippery and evasive.
He didn't rashly use the Stone Beetle Form to engage in an underground battle.
After all, the opponent was an S-Class Earth Mage, and although he might have some strength gap with Mira, it wasn't wise to challenge others in their specialized field.
Let's test his abilities first.
"I'll help too! I am the one who connects the path to the Celestial Spirit World, you... respond to my call, open the gateway! Open, Sagittarius Gateway, Sajidalis!"
"Hey, I'm here!" A person wearing a horse-shaped prop suit appeared, holding a bow and with a quiver on his back.
"Why a prop suit!" Lucy even wanted to complain about her own Celestial Spirit, "Although we haven't signed a contract yet, I can't deal with it now. Are you an archer?"
Sajidalis bowed, "Yes, I am the Divine Archer, hey hey."
"Great, that green-haired guy is the enemy. Attack him as soon as he appears!"
"No problem, leave it to me, hey hey!"
"Sigh, Balgo was like this last time. Why does it feel like every time I get a new Celestial Spirit, I have to fight without a contract."
Lucy complained to herself, then drew the whip from her waist.
"So you summoners are really weak."
Sol continued his assault, popping up like a whack-a-mole game, saying a few words before retreating, seemingly testing Rod's psychological defenses.
Sajidalis shot several arrows in a row, piercing the stones on the ground, but failing to injure Sol.
The Celestial Spirit of the Zodiac, Lucy's and the one used by the Cloaked Lady the other day, had a huge difference in strength.
"By the way, did you know Mira had a younger sister who died because of her? You became her lover, and who knows, one day you might die because of her too.
"No, no, no! Saying it three times to correct the previous statement, you will surely die because of her. She is an ominous Monstrosity... No, no, no!"
Lucy covered her mouth in shock and glared at Sol, "That's so unfair!"
Where did this bastard get his outdated information?
"Congratulations, your plan worked. I fell for your taunts..." Rod's face began to scale like a dragon, his hands and feet transformed into dragon claws, and dragon wings appeared behind him.
Lucy recognized this move, "This is from that day..."
"No, no, no! How can there be such powerful magic? The intelligence report didn't mention anything like this..." Sol tried to escape by burrowing underground.
"Damn it! Today, I'll risk my life to finish you off!" Ignoring his reconnaissance, reasonable magic distribution, and S-Class status, Rod slapped the ground, "Mountain Dragon's Earth Excavation!"
A loud rumble echoed as a small hillock rose from the ground, causing the entire street to vibrate.
The hillock grew larger, blocking the already narrow alley. The shops on either side were affected, with their awnings shaking violently and cracks appearing in the walls. Debris began to fall from the roofs.
Lucy almost fell from the Treant's back, clinging to a vine on its back, "What is this? It's as exaggerated as that day!"
Fortunately, Rod hadn't completely lost control. The hillock stopped expanding and rose over twenty meters into the air, resembling a small volcano that opened at the top. No, in this situation, it should be described as a giant cannon barrel.
The outer wall made of earth and stones was surprisingly flexible like a snake's belly. One could see a round object rising from the bottom of the barrel, eventually launching like a cannonball.
Rod's dragon wings swept behind him, creating a whirlwind that blew Lucy's eyes shut.
In the blink of an eye, Rod had caught up to the earthen ball in the sky.
The ball disintegrated, revealing Sol inside, "No, no, no..."
The dragon clawed fist struck his face, "Mountain Dragon's Crushing Fist!"
Sol's facial features deformed under the blow, his entire face seemed to sink inward. His body continued to fly upward, and he let out a muffled cry of pain.
"You... you're a Dragon Slayer..."
Rod followed up with a heavy downward kick, "Mountain Dragon's Claw Sweep!"
Rod dove downward, his rock-like wings flapped horizontally, "Mountain Dragon's Wing Strike!"
Then, his tail drew a semicircle, whipping upward, "Mountain Dragon's Tail Whip!"
As Sol flew upward again, Rod opened his mouth, "Mountain Dragon's Roar!"
A violent rock storm engulfed Sol's figure, and the foul-mouthed man fluttered like a withered leaf in the dragon's breath, powerless to resist.
Rod returned to his original form and fell from the sky.
Before he could experience much weightlessness, he felt the hard sensation of the Devil's Arm on his back, and his face was buried in a warm embrace.
(The warm embrace is too stimulating to describe, you know, Mira's Soul of Satan outfit is just too much.)
Book Recommendation: "The Witch-Farming Wizard, and the Witch that Grows."
Synopsis: Leo has crossed over into an elemental desert world abandoned by wizards.
A thousand years ago, wizards left in droves to conquer the multiverse.
As the only remaining wizard apprentice in this realm, Leo felt desperate.
In this elemental desert, it was impossible for a proper wizard to be born.
Fortunately, he had a cheat ability.
A "Divine Tree" seed that traveled with him, when planted, could treat a certain area of land as its "Dominion."
Through clearing land, farming, breeding, and mining, any action that benefited the "Dominion" would provide nourishment to the Divine Tree.
As the Divine Tree grew, it would not only expand the "Pasture" but also give birth to various divine anomalies, creating new supernal powers in this barren land.
The day the "Dominion" enveloped all realms would be the day the "Emperor" ascended the Supreme Throne.
And it all began when Leo plucked the Divine Tree's fruit, fed it to a girl, and the first true Witch was born...
"The Witch is the world's first producer."
Many years later, the first fate wizard emperor and the director of the Bureau of Wizard Warfare, Leo Lionheart, wrote in his memoirs:
"When your enemies slander you as the source of evil, possessing demonic powers, it's best to truly possess them and be even stronger than they claim."
