Chapter 332: Completing the Training
Chapter 332: Completing the Training
In the end, the eight of them reached a consensus and headed towards the Golden Sand Ridge for their training.
Just before their departure, Li Qian felt something was amiss and spoke up, "The situation here is clearly abnormal. To prevent others from accidentally stumbling upon this and causing irreversible consequences, I suggest we inform the federal government about what's happening here."
Dakeli, upon hearing this, nodded in agreement and took out his phone as he spoke, "I have a relative who works in the Beastmaster Association in Shazhou City. I'll inform him of the situation right away."
As he spoke, he dialed a number, and the call connected shortly after.
Dakeli succinctly described the situation, and the conversation ended quickly.
Li Qian noticed that after the call, Dakeli's expression turned grim. He asked with concern, "What did your relative say?"
"He said this matter is not simple. He advised us to evacuate as soon as possible and preferably leave the Xiwusu Desert immediately," Dakeli replied, furrowing his brows as he relayed the conversation.
"The Golden Sand Ridge and the Blackstone Forest are in completely opposite directions, so there shouldn't be any issues, right?" Li Qian's brows knitted together as he considered this.
"It shouldn't be a problem," Dakeli said, scanning the group. Seeing everyone's lingering curiosity, he offered his suggestion, "We can go to the Golden Sand Ridge, but I estimate that we won't be able to return to the Blackstone Forest for a short while."
"Also, I informed my relative about our situation. According to him, with our team's setup, there shouldn't be any issues training at the Golden Sand Ridge. But we should still be cautious. In the wild, dangers are interconnected, and no one can guarantee that there won't be unexpected situations at the Golden Sand Ridge."
Dakeli's words made sense, and the group nodded in agreement after hearing his explanation.
With a decision made, they wasted no time and headed in the opposite direction of the Blackstone Forest.
Li Qian suddenly turned back and took one last look at the Blackstone Forest, his brows furrowed in concern.
He had a nagging feeling that the situation might not be as simple as he imagined, and he knew he couldn't possibly get involved with his abilities.
No matter how much he thought about it, there was nothing he could do. It was best to leave it to the authorities to handle.
At the same time, in Shazhou City, at the Beastmaster Association, a middle-aged man with a bushy beard put down his phone, his face turning solemn.
"The Blackstone Forest has encountered such a situation, and Dakeli's group of freshmen have inadvertently done us a huge favor," the bearded man muttered to himself before quickly leaving his office.
On the other side, Li Qian's group of eight had just left the Blackstone Forest when they heard the rumble of engines nearby.
"Roar, roar, roar..."
As the sound drew closer, a row of off-road vehicles came into view, leaving Li Qian puzzled. He glanced at Dakeli beside him.
Dakeli understood Li Qian's gaze and explained, "Don't look at me like that. Those are specially modified off-road vehicles."
"Also, they can't go any further into the Blackstone Forest. From now on, they'll have to store their vehicles in spatial gear or have someone guard them outside the forest."
At this moment, encountering such a convoy here undoubtedly meant they were also heading towards the Blackstone Forest.
Dakeli lowered his voice and asked Li Qian, "Should we warn them?"
Li Qian fell into deep thought upon hearing this. After a moment, he subtly shook his head at Dakeli.
How could they warn them? Should they say that there are three Imperial-rank companion beasts and over ten Dominator-rank companion beasts in the Blackstone Forest?
Aside from the question of whether they would believe it, Li Qian had no evidence to support his claim, and they might just dismiss it as a joke.
As for the location, even if they revealed it, it might not serve as a warning, and it could potentially harm them.
So, they chose to hold back, saying and doing nothing. After all, they had already informed the federal government, and there was nothing more they could do.
As the convoy passed by, Li Qian caught a glimpse through the car windows and noticed that there were quite a few people inside the five vehicles.
Li Qian was slightly puzzled by the grand scale of the convoy. Instead of venturing deeper into the Xiwusu Desert, they were heading to the Blackstone Forest. Wasn't this making a mountain out of a molehill?
Despite his thoughts, the group of eight continued on their way, passing by the convoy.
That afternoon, around two o'clock, they arrived at the Golden Sand Ridge. After reaching their destination, their luck finally took a turn for the better. Or, to be precise, their luck finally returned to normal, and no more unexpected issues arose.
With their experience in the Blackstone Forest, they remained vigilant and cautious, even though they knew the Golden Sand Ridge wasn't as threatening.
Time flew by, and soon, a day and a night had passed. On the second day, around three in the afternoon, the group of eight exited the Golden Sand Ridge.
Their faces lit up with a hint of joy, clearly indicating their satisfaction with the training they had received over the past day and night.
In fact, it was indeed a successful training session. They had not only broadened their knowledge and honed their combat skills but also acquired some extraordinary resources, marking a complete success.
"It's getting late; let's head back to Zhenxi Town," Piro suggested, glancing at the sky.
In truth, even without Piro's suggestion, they would have returned to Zhenxi Town. After all, they had classes the next day, which was Monday.
"Let's go," Dakeli said, checking his watch and determining the direction of Zhenxi Town. With a wave of his hand, they set off.
They didn't waste any time on their return journey, and their relaxed and cheerful demeanor reflected their successful training.
Shortly after five o'clock, they arrived back in Zhenxi Town, but the sight that greeted them was puzzling.
At the entrance of Zhenxi Town, a makeshift checkpoint had been set up, and they had no idea when it had appeared.
"What's going on?" Li Yuhu asked, her face filled with confusion, directing her question to Li Qian.
Li Qian shook his head, "I'm not sure, but it seems like it's the authorities. Let's go and ask them."
Despite his words, Li Qian had a hunch that the situation was somehow connected to the events at the Blackstone Forest.
