Chapter 332: Buried in the Snow (Second Update)
Chapter 332: Buried in the Snow (Second Update)
Hermione, who had been prepared to close her eyes when she felt Jerry place his hand on her shoulder, was suddenly taken aback by his serious tone.
For a full ten seconds, she was stunned before she finally reacted, replying with a hint of regret in her voice:
"Alright, I promise I won't teach anyone else the Magic you've taught me!"
Seeing Hermione's disappointed expression, Jerry couldn't help but let his lips twitch.
"Alright, this Magic is called the Meditation Technique. The principle behind it is as follows."
Under Jerry's guidance, Hermione began to learn the Meditation Technique from the Eternal Life Sutra.
"This Magic is truly amazing!"
Four hours later, as Hermione followed Jerry out of the small cabin, she had completely shed her previous exhaustion, looking radiant and refreshed.
Although she hadn't fully mastered the Meditation Technique yet and was only just starting, she had already tasted the initial benefits of practicing it. The fatigue from using the Time-Turner to study had indeed vanished.
"Over the next few days, we'll use the Time-Turner to come here for five hours each day. I believe you'll be able to fully master the Meditation Technique before the Christmas break!"
On the way to the Great Hall for dinner, Jerry explained to Hermione.
Hermione, being a Magic prodigy, found the Meditation Technique challenging but not insurmountable. Jerry estimated that in another four or five days, she would be able to fully grasp it.
He even believed that Hermione, despite not having a Witch bloodline, could likely gain magical power through the study of the Meditation Technique, given her intellect.
However, in addition to the Meditation Technique, Jerry also planned to teach Hermione Occlumency to prevent Dumbledore, the Headmaster who liked to pry into people's thoughts, from using Legilimency to discover their secret.
Initially, Jerry had not intended to bring the Meditation Technique to this world, but now that he had largely dealt with Voldemort and his current strength was on par with Dumbledore, he no longer felt the need to be as cautious.
Moreover, it would be beneficial for Hermione to start learning the Meditation Technique early. Achieving Eternal Life through the Meditation Technique was not an easy feat, even with the improvements and optimizations he had made to the original technique.
Thus, starting early was a good thing, giving her a better chance of success.
Two days before the holiday, in Hogsmeade Village.
The weather was now at its coldest of the year. The heavy snowfall from the previous night had transformed Hogsmeade Village into a picturesque winter wonderland.
With the threat of Sirius Black eliminated, the school once again allowed the young witches to visit Hogsmeade Village before the holiday.
Unfortunately, Harry still couldn't join Jerry and the others through the usual means and had to use the secret passage on the fourth floor.
About two hundred meters from the edge of Hogsmeade Village, in the woods, Harry removed his Invisibility Cloak and joined Jerry, Hermione, and Ron in enjoying the various snacks they had just bought in Hogsmeade Village.
"Jerry, are you really not staying at school with us for Christmas?"
Hermione was eating a toffee, and her mood was a bit down.
This Christmas break, Harry, Ron, and she had all decided to stay at school. Harry didn't want to go back to his aunt's house, Ron's parents were visiting his older brother, and she wanted to use the Christmas break to review the key points from all her classes.
However, to her surprise, Jerry had once again, like last year, not filled out the form to stay at school.
Harry and Ron also showed a hint of disappointment in their eyes.
"Maybe next year. I promise I'll spend Christmas with you guys next year. This year, I have to go to Diagon Alley to publish my first magic book, The Theory of Air Magic and Flight Techniques."
Jerry patted Hermione's head to comfort her.
When Hermione heard that Jerry was publishing his own magic book, her eyes immediately sparkled with admiration.
Harry and Ron were already used to this. They hadn't even mastered their current textbooks, yet Jerry was already publishing his own magic book. The gap between them was as wide as a chasm.
It was no wonder Jerry could easily handle Sirius Black on his own.
"Hey, let's have a snowball fight!"
Ron, looking at the thick layer of snow on the ground, suddenly had a great idea. Without waiting for a response, he grabbed a handful of snow and threw it at Harry, laughing.
Harry, caught off guard, immediately had a head full of "white hair."
Thus, the snowball battle began.
The teenagers, aged thirteen and fourteen, rolled snowballs, ran, and laughed, freely exuding the energy of youth. Even Jerry, who had been calm and composed, couldn't help but be drawn into the excitement.
A moment later, Harry, Ron, and Hermione noticed that they were covered in snow, while Jerry remained spotlessly clean. They exchanged glances, stopped the chaos, and then all focused their attention on Jerry.
"Are you sure about this?"
Jerry, who had been watching the three of them play and only occasionally dodging a snowball, immediately understood their intentions when they all turned their eyes to him with mischievous grins.
"Jerry, this is a Gryffindor and Slytherin battle!"
Ron puffed out his chest, formed a snowball the size of a fist, and declared with determination.
Jerry sighed.
"Isn't it a bit unfair for three of you to gang up on one?"
"Can't be helped. After all, you're the only one who hasn't been hit yet!"
Harry patted the snow off his head and looked at the still pristine and elegant Jerry, forming a snowball even larger than the one in Ron's hand.
"Hermione, are you going to be so heartless too?"
Jerry asked Hermione half-jokingly.
Hermione blushed, raised her head, and replied with a hint of pride:
"Who made you leave us during the Christmas break? This is your punishment!"
However, the snowball she formed was clearly the smallest of the three.
"Alright, since you all insist, don't blame me for being ruthless!"
Jerry gave a mock cold smile, then quickly bent down, scooped up a large handful of snow, and his hands moved in a blur, forming three snowballs almost instantaneously. He threw them all at once.
The 1v3 snowball battle officially began!
Fifteen minutes later.
Jerry, still elegant and without a single snowflake on him, stood with his hands behind his back, looking at Harry, Ron, and Hermione, who were buried in snow up to their shoulders and heads. He smiled and asked:
"Want to continue?"
No way. With his current physical condition, even without using magic, relying solely on his physical strength, he could take on not just three, but thirty in a snowball fight without breaking a sweat.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione didn't answer Jerry. Instead, they all had the same thought at that moment:
"Who am I? Where am I? What did I just do?"
