Chapter 330: Revolutionary Army is Too Despicable
Chapter 330: Revolutionary Army is Too Despicable
"Run!"
Klah saw the scene of something resembling the Sky falling down. He instinctively wanted to run, but he froze when he realized in despair that there seemed to be nowhere left to run.
That area was larger than Insect Country's entire territory!
Even if he poured all his strength into fleeing, there was no way he could escape Insect Country before being caught.
"Is that uncle bringing down Kuro's entire 'treasure trove'? This is too absurd!" Lida stared at the Sky, his small face drenched in cold sweat.
At this scale, nobody could escape.
"Come on, this has to be a joke!"
Sabo, who had just evacuated from the village, looked up at the sky, his face so grim it could drip water.
Why was something like this falling from the heavens?!
"No time!"
Crow's eyes were filled with dread. Even with his abilities, he couldn't outrun this colossal object descending without visible boundaries.
As the object descended lower, they finally saw clearly—it was an entire continent!
Has Skypiea fallen?!
Kuro clicked his tongue, a relaxed expression on his face as he looked up at the Sky. "This is truly terrifying. I never imagined collective descent could carry such might."
He himself had never tried pulling everything from the heavens at once. In his past experiences, situations never reached the level of requiring national destruction.
He couldn't afford to either—it would cause catastrophe.
But he didn't seem to mind. From his perception, Yi Xiao wasn't showing any serious intent or anger.
Indeed, the massive continent halted within the Sky, ceasing its descent.
Yi Xiao scratched his head. "This is troublesome, Brother. Your eccentric habits really are shocking."
"Brother jokes", Kuro replied easily, raising his hand toward the Sky. "It's just a self-defense mechanism. After all, Grand Line is so dangerous."
He stretched his fingers and clenched his fist.
Rumble.
The continent in the Sky split into four colossal islands, which immediately began crashing downward.
Feeling Kuro's action, Yi Xiao frowned. "Brother, what are you implying?"
"Didn't I say? My control over abilities isn't precise. During battles, things inevitably fall down. It's unavoidable", Kuro shrugged. "Even Gramps can't prevent destruction during fights. Don't mention those two Monsters."
Kuro glanced upward. "So crushing a few towns is perfectly natural."
When Gramps unleashes power, the resulting explosion will certainly destroy structures. As highly destructive Devil Fruit users, Akainu and Kuzan never leave battlefields intact. Kuro explained this logic.
As for his own intentions—it was simple.
Originally, he planned to accomplish this through Sabo's hands, but Yi Xiao was more suitable.
...
Butterfly Town, the capital of Insect Country.
The palace.
Lei Zang, the current fifty-year-old king of Insect Country, stood as a robust middle-aged man, full of vigor and ambition.
Thirty years ago, when the Luo Family arrived in Insect Country—a nation previously weak and insignificant—gradual changes began. Now, the nation boasted a 100,000-strong army and no shortage of elite warriors.
This battle to defeat Flower Country would finally establish Insect Country among the top-tier nations of West Blue.
From his palace balcony, Lei Zang gazed at the bright moon. A servant approached silently. "Your Highness, will you not rest so late?"
Lei Zang didn't answer immediately. "Tomorrow, Luo Shen will launch his final campaign. Our nation's fate hangs on this single stroke."
"Victory is certain."
The servant replied, "With such thorough preparations, General Luo Shen won't disappoint Your Highness."
"Hmm, how are the recent tax collections?" Lei Zang nodded. "We must ensure adequate supplies for the troops before departure."
"Your Highness, the people can't deliver grain anymore. Only the Four Towns still have harvests. Other regions have nothing left." The servant reported truthfully.
"Nothing?"
Lei Zang frowned. "Insect Country doesn't need useless waste. Contact the traffickers—sell everyone beyond the Four Towns to buy grain. Ensure absolute victory in war."
"Understood, I'll contact them tomorrow." The servant bowed.
Boom!
As he spoke, the Sky darkened.
Lei Zang and the servant instinctively looked up, staring blankly at the shadow descending from above, vast enough to cover the entire heavens, obscuring the moon.
A continent!
Before Lei Zang could react in shock, the continent halted in the Sky.
"What is this?! What's happening!" Lei Zang roared at his servant. "Why is something like this appearing in the heavens?!"
"I... I don't know either!" The servant stared at the colossal object, dazed.
"Quickly investigate—find out what's going on!"
Before Lei Zang's voice faded, the continent suddenly split, one island crashing downward.
The island descended with incredible speed, smashing directly onto the palace.
Boom!!!
Upon impact, the island's sheer size destroyed the palace completely. As destruction spread, the island fragmented into multiple sections, scattering around the palace grounds and encircling the entire kingdom.
"Cough... cough!"
Lei Zang emerged from the rubble, staring at the palace reduced to unrecognizable ruins. He looked at the survivors standing in stunned disbelief, then screamed, "What exactly is going on here!"
Meanwhile in Tui Town, the situation mirrored the palace—but with one difference. As the falling islands descended, a faint figure shot out from the Luo Family's residence. With a thunderous boom, the island disintegrated upon the figure's approach, shattering into countless stones raining across the surroundings.
...
"Oh?"
Kuro raised an eyebrow toward Tui Town. "Failed already? I remember only one strong aura there—the Luo Family Ancestor, did you intervene?"
The strong auras in Tui Town hadn't changed. Even including figures like Luo Shan, Kuro had calculated everything.
The Luo Family didn't seem present in Tui Town, meaning only their Ancestor could have acted.
"Brother, why provoke such actions? Aren't you a Navy officer?"
As four islands crashed into four directions, Yi Xiao frowned.
"I did nothing intentional", Kuro shrugged. "Just poor control. I'm a legitimate Navy officer and supporter of the World Government. To verify the 'suspicious' Revolutionary Army, I even used my treasure trove. I believe World Government will understand my intentions."
"However, my investigation proves Brother isn't part of the Revolutionary Army. Those revolutionaries are despicable—making an innocent civilian take the blame. They almost made me capture an innocent civilian by mistake."
Kuro sheathed Autumn Water, facing Yi Xiao. "So now I'll pursue the true Revolutionary Army. What do you think, Brother?"
