Chapter 328: Who Do You Think You Are? Dark Lord? Or Dumbledore?
Chapter 328: Who Do You Think You Are? Dark Lord? Or Dumbledore?
A thunderclap split the sky, and soon a heavy rain poured down.
Ivan silently glanced at the Blond Young Wizard standing in the rain among the ruins, sighed, and then quickly turned and left.
The rain continued unabated.
After leaving Dugdale's mansion, Ivan followed the clues Hermione had deliberately left behind, worrying about their current safety.
He finally stopped in front of a dilapidated house where the clues ended.
"Strange, how did Hermione manage to bring Aisha and Dugdale to this place to take shelter from the rain?"
Ivan couldn't help but feel puzzled. Suddenly, he felt his body begin to change, indicating that the Polyjuice Potion's effects were wearing off.
After all, he had only taken a small sip.
Ivan raised his Wand and tapped his clothes to dispel the Transfiguration spell, then took off his Invisibility Cloak and quickly entered the house. He could hear voices coming from inside.
Pushing the door open, Ivan found the scene inside was different from what he had imagined.
Aisha had somehow regained consciousness and was talking to Hermione, apparently interrogating her about something.
The Young Witch's face was flushed, and she stammered, unable to speak. She quickly saw Ivan and let out a sigh of relief, as if she had found her savior.
"Ivan! You're finally back!"
Aisha turned around.
Ivan shivered; he hadn't yet figured out how to explain what had happened earlier.
He hadn't expected Aisha to wake up so quickly.
But it made sense; he hadn't hit her too hard when he stunned her, and the subsequent journey and turmoil would have been exhausting. It would have been strange if she were still unconscious.
"Ivan Hals!" Aisha's face darkened as she walked up to Ivan, grabbed his cheeks, and angrily said, "Your audacity is growing! Do you know what you did? You actually dared to use a Stunning Spell on me! Do you want to die? Do you remember how old you are? Who do you think you are? The Dark Lord? Or Dumbledore? You really think you're capable of taking on ten Dark Wizards by yourself?"
Aisha was so angry that she trembled, berating Ivan for several minutes, pinching his pale cheeks until they were bright red, with no intention of letting go.
Ivan had never seen Aisha this angry. Noticing the tears welling up in her eyes, he opened his mouth to explain but was cut off as Aisha pulled him into a tight embrace.
"Please, please! Don't scare your mother anymore. If anything happens to you, I can't go on living." Aisha clung to him, tears streaming down her face and dripping onto Ivan's hair.
Ivan stood there, stunned and unsure of what to do. He hesitantly returned the hug and apologized. "I'm sorry, Mom. It won't happen again!"
The two of them embraced for a while before Aisha regained her composure, wiped her wet eyes, and asked what had happened.
Although Hermione had told her some of it, the Young Witch didn't know much, and only Ivan knew the full story.
Ivan didn't intend to hide anything and began recounting the events from when he had first returned home and found the Dark Magic Shop under attack, skipping over many details to make it sound less serious.
"In the end, it was like this. I used the Time Turner to come back to now and figured everything out", Ivan said.
As Ivan recounted his past experiences, Aisha became increasingly heartbroken. She hadn't realized that Ivan had traveled from the future to the past and had endured so much pain alone.
Although Ivan spoke casually, she could imagine the unimaginable efforts he must have made to achieve this goal.
Aisha felt very guilty, thinking that it was her negligence and underestimation of those desperate criminals that led to this situation.
She had assumed these people were just a disorganized group. As long as they knew she wasn’t a soft target but a fierce tiger, they would back off.
But she never expected these desperados to actually have the nerve to attack her.
A shadow crossed Aisha’s face. She thought maybe she hadn’t killed enough people or been ruthless enough to instill the necessary fear.
However, when she heard Ivan talking about how he chose to face those Death Eaters alone to prevent her from suffering the same fate, Aisha was still angry.
She would rather something happen to herself than see Ivan risk his life for such a dangerous task.
Thinking of this, Aisha’s anger flared up again, and she pinched Ivan’s cheek. "They were so many, where did you get the nerve to think you could defeat them?"
"But Mom, I did beat them, didn’t I?" Ivan’s words were a bit unclear.
"That only means you were lucky this time and didn’t die!" Aisha released Ivan’s cheek and tapped his forehead irritably.
Seeing Aisha’s burning anger, Ivan understood she was worried about him. He tried to comfort her with a light tone. "Actually, those Death Eaters were all incredibly stupid. I didn’t even have to try to take them down."
"See! I’m not even hurt!" Ivan patted his clothes, which were only dusty and had a few spots of blood, none of which was his.
Aisha didn’t believe Ivan for a second. She had heard from Hermione that the entire Dark Magic Shop was reduced to Rubble during the battle, indicating how intense the fight was.
Moreover, over the past few months, she had faced those Death Eaters herself, and some of them were quite formidable.
So Aisha was very angry that Ivan had knocked her out and gone to face them alone. She was about to scold him again but noticed the fatigue on his face, which made her heart ache. In the end, she couldn’t bring herself to say anything.
Reflecting on everything he had done, Ivan felt a bit despondent. He hadn’t expected things to unfold this way.
In a sense, he had dug himself a deep hole!
But he had managed to steer the outcome in the direction he had hoped for.
Ivan couldn’t help but wonder what would have happened if his future self hadn’t done all of this. What if he and Aisha had returned to the Dark Magic Shop and been suddenly attacked by those Death Eaters?
Ivan wouldn’t underestimate the strength of those Death Eaters just because he had destroyed them all.
He had known they were coming and had set up traps in advance, luring them in batches and using the Invisibility Cloak to his advantage. That’s how he had achieved victory.
In a direct confrontation, Ivan knew he wouldn’t stand a chance against so many of them.
Especially their leader, Adan, who was incredibly resilient. He remained standing even after being hit by several Sectumsempra spells. Ivan estimated that dealing with Adan alone would be troublesome, let alone his nine Death Eater subordinates.
Even if he and Aisha worked together and managed to use the terrain to their advantage to eliminate them all, they would likely have to pay a heavy price—possibly one of them being seriously injured or even killed.
