As evening approached, all the young wizards, led by their professors, returned to the castle from Hogsmeade. The third-year students, who were experiencing their first trip to Hogsmeade, were excitedly discussing their day’s adventures all the way back.
When they entered the Great Hall, they found it already decorated with hundreds of candle-lit pumpkins and a large swarm of flying bats. Orange banners, ablaze with flames, lazily drifted across the stormy ceiling like colorful water snakes.
"You go ahead and find seats, I need to run back to the dormitory for a moment!"
At the entrance to the hall, Jerry bid farewell to the other young wizards and turned towards the Slytherin dormitory. Sirius Black would likely sneak into the castle from the Whomping Willow soon, and it wouldn’t be easy to carry out his plan once inside the Great Hall.
In the basement, Jerry didn’t return to the Slytherin common room but instead entered an abandoned classroom near the stairs. He took out the Marauder's Map and waited quietly.

Tonight, everyone would be celebrating Halloween in the Great Hall, and he would use this opportunity to capture and destroy Wormtail once and for all!
"Revert to your human form!"
Suddenly, a voice rang out behind Sirius Black. Before he could react, a blue beam of magic struck him.
Under the effect of the blue beam, Sirius Black immediately transformed from a large black dog back into his thin human form.
"Impossible?"

"Feast on hold. The Head Boy and Prefects will maintain order. Professors, follow me to apprehend Sirius Black!"
"Harry, I didn't come to kill Harry, I—"
Sirius Black was taken aback by Jerry's words. Just as he was about to explain, he saw the Great Hall doors open and Dumbledore leading a group of people out. He quickly transformed back into the large black dog and fled toward the hall's exit.
"Where are you running!"
Seeing Dumbledore and the others emerge, Jerry immediately used the second stage of his Flying Spell, spreading a pair of white wings and quickly flying after Sirius Black.

"Jerry, are you hurt?"
