Chapter 325: Carnage Blood Hell!
Ivan had anticipated the attack and rolled to avoid it, then quickly slipped into the Invisibility Cloak, vanishing from Adan's sight.
"Get out here!" Adan snarled, his eyes scanning the surroundings. With a fierce strike of his Wand, the broken stones on the ground shot up like arrows, scattering in all directions.
However, the stones were distorted mid-air by some unseen force, transforming into birds that blocked Adan's view.
"Sectumsempra!"
Ivan extended his Wand from under the Invisibility Cloak, aiming at Adan's chest. An invisible blade of magical energy sliced through Adan's body, leaving a Blood Mark.
"Come out!" Adan roared, but he couldn't see through the Invisibility Cloak. He could only judge Ivan's position by the sound of his spell and wildly cast spells, destroying everything around him.
Inside the Invisibility Cloak, Ivan moved as swiftly as a fish in water, never staying in one place for long. He circled around Adan, occasionally using Sectumsempra to add more wounds to Adan's body.
Adan's resilience was surprisingly strong. Despite the continuous bleeding, he remained standing. Finally, he discarded his Wand and, with brute force, lifted a fallen counter, sweeping it forward.
Unfortunately, such a conspicuous move was easy to predict and left him vulnerable. Ivan easily dodged it.
Adan, like a giant, swung the counter repeatedly, but he couldn't hit Ivan, the small figure, and only wasted his already limited strength.
Seizing the moment when Adan's old strength was exhausted and his new strength had yet to return, Ivan waved his Wand and transformed a large chair into a giant snake that coiled around Adan's ankle, pinning him in place.
"Reducio!" Ivan cast another spell.
Adan's face changed, barely managing to block the attack with the counter in his hand.
However, Adan was already severely injured and on his last legs. With the giant snake restraining him, he struggled to resist but was ultimately killed by a Diffindo.
Watching Adan's body collapse, Ivan finally breathed a sigh of relief. Adan's strength had been more than he had anticipated.
If not for his initial sneak attack and the help of the Invisibility Cloak, killing Adan would have required more effort and expended more magic.
Ivan looked at Adan's lifeless body and shook his head.
As the leader of the Death Eaters, Adan might have known something, but Ivan didn't have the time to interrogate him.
He recalled how he had seen the flames and heard the explosions when he first entered Knockturn Alley, then ran to the scene in just a few minutes.
By now, they were probably already on their way.
Noticing the Blood Marks on Adan's body from the Sectumsempra spell, Ivan used the Crushing Curse to obliterate the traces and then headed into the store.
The black-robed witch, who had been knocked unconscious earlier, had somehow regained consciousness. Unfortunately, she was hit by a falling rock from the aftermath and was struggling to crawl out of the rubble.
Ivan reached into his wizard robe and approached her.
The black-robed witch, seeing Ivan approaching, grabbed her Wand from the ground in terror and tried to cast a spell, but Ivan snatched it away.
"Spare me, spare me!" the black-robed witch pleaded, looking at Ivan. "It was Brock who instigated us. I can tell you everything I know."
Under her gaze, the young wizard in front of her took out a bottle of Potion from his robe. The black-robed witch's face lit up with joy, believing that he was definitely preparing to heal her.
After all, if he wanted to kill her, he could have just cast a spell. There was no need for such trouble.
The black-robed witch quickly drank the Potion, then suddenly clutched her neck in horror, realizing that her body was beginning to transform. This was clearly not a healing Potion.
What Ivan had given her was, of course, the improved version of the Polyjuice Potion that Hermione had brought over.
When Ivan had knocked out Aisha earlier, he had also taken a strand of her hair and added it to the Potion.
"What did you make me drink?" the black-robed witch cried out in pain, the stretching of her muscles during the transformation almost causing her to faint.
Ivan silently watched as the black-robed witch in front of him rapidly transformed, her appearance becoming increasingly beautiful until she finally took on Aisha's form.
Once the transformation was finally over, the black-robed witch lay on the ground, weak and trembling, her moans growing weaker. Large amounts of blood seeped through her mangled back, soaking her robe and flowing onto the gray floor.
Seeing Aisha's form struggling in pain, Ivan couldn't bear it and cast a spell with his Wand to end her life. He then hurriedly ran to the basement entrance, opened the Trapdoor, and rushed into the Practice Room.
The Young Witch cowering in the Practice Room, upon seeing Ivan, quickly threw off the Invisibility Cloak and ran straight into his arms.
"Oh, Ivan, are you okay?" Hermione said, visibly shaken. The loud explosion had terrified her, and she had been afraid that something had happened to Ivan upstairs.
"I told you, the ones who would die are them. Look, I'm fine!" Ivan said, trying to reassure Hermione with a calm demeanor.
Hermione carefully examined Ivan. Apart from some bloodstains on his clothes and a slightly pale face, he seemed to be fine.
"Let's get out of here first", Ivan said, picking up the unconscious Aisha and leading Hermione out.
Hermione nodded and followed Ivan as they carried Aisha out of the basement.
When they reached the first floor, Hermione's eyes widened, and she covered her mouth to stifle a scream.
The Dark Magic Shop, which had stood there moments ago, was now a pile of Rubble, flames shooting up into the sky. The air was thick with the smell of blood, and several mangled corpses lay scattered on the ground. It was a scene straight out of hell.
What surprised Hermione even more was that one of the female corpses looked exactly like Aisha.
It was the Polyjuice Potion, wasn't it?
Hermione quickly understood why Ivan had been so determined to improve the Polyjuice Potion and why he needed to know the effects of the Potion on a dead body. He had wanted to create a false impression of Aisha's death.
"Ah!" Hermione stumbled while running, almost falling over. She turned back and saw a black-robed wizard lying on the ground.
The black-robed wizard's eyes were wide open, and he lay motionless, as if petrified. There were no visible wounds on his body.
