"Fujiki You Xuan?"
To his surprise, the target of his mission had appeared before him.
"You Xuan!" Jaden exclaimed, scratching his head awkwardly.
"Ahaha, you caught me. But this opponent is indeed formidable; this tactic was used by a legendary duelist, and it's incredibly powerful." You Xuan offered a smile.
"The Spirit Reaper," You Xuan acknowledged with a casual glance at the Death Spirit. "Some people are already dead; they just don't know it yet."
"Cotton Cloud may seem like an impenetrable barrier at first glance," You Xuan continued, his eyes narrowing slightly. "But as you know, there's no monster that can't be overcome, no situation that's absolutely hopeless. Even the legendary Triple God Necroors were defeated by the Duel Kings of old."
You Xuan's smile grew mischievous. "Having witnessed my soul and my ace, I'm sure you can understand this, right, Jaden?"
Jaden blinked, recalling You Xuan's Chaos Sorcerer—a powerful monster with both removal and offensive capabilities, and one that was notoriously difficult to summon.
"But where would I find a monster like that? One with such simple summoning conditions and yet so formidable in its effects..." Jaden trailed off, a realization dawning on him. "Unless...!"
Jaden's eyes lit up as he grasped You Xuan's implication. A mischievous grin spread across his face, and he threw his head back, laughing heartily.
"Hahaha! You never cease to amaze, You Xuan! Indeed, there's still this trick up your sleeve! Hahaha! That's so like you!"
You Xuan smiled, his arms crossed, as he remained silent, pleased that Jaden had so quickly understood his strategy after witnessing so many of his duels.
Only the Death Spirit was left confused. "What are you two talking about?"
"Nothing," Jaden chuckled. "We're just discussing the interesting ways we can deal with you."
"Hmph, what are you babbling about?" The Death Spirit scoffed. "As long as my Absolute Defense is in play, there's nothing you can do before this turn ends."
"Sorry to disappoint, but I don't think this turn will ever end." Jaden played a card from his field. "I activate this Magic Card, 'Miraculous Fusion!' By removing monsters from my Graveyard from the game, I can Fusion Summon an 'Elemental Hero!'
He revealed the two cards in his Graveyard. "Remove 'Elemental Hero Wildman' and 'Elemental Hero Necroshade' from my Graveyard! Fusion Summon—'Elemental Hero Necro Shaman'!"

A shaman from a primitive tribe, with wild red hair and a fearsome mask, appeared on the field.
The Death Spirit frowned. "I don't know what you're trying to accomplish. No matter how many monsters you summon, as long as Cotton Cloud is here, you can't possibly win."
"It's not the effect, but the cost," Jaden clarified. "The effect of Necroshade allows me, when this card is successfully Special Summoned, to Tribute 1 monster on your field and select 1 monster in your Graveyard to Special Summon to your field!"
Death Spirit: "..."
What?! Use my own monster as a Tribute to resurrect another from my Graveyard?
"Destroy 1 monster your opponent controls as a cost to activate this card," is the activation condition. The opponent's monster is destroyed as a cost, similar to how You Xuan used Lava Golem to get rid of his opponent's strong monster.
This is why You Xuan hinted at his "soul and ace card" to Jaden.
Being unable to be targeted or destroyed by effects is not a problem; Lava Golem can simply be summoned and get the job done.
Forget about this level of resistance; even a God or a monster with "cannot be affected by other card effects" can be destroyed the same way.
"So, I'll use your 'Cotton Cloud' as a Tribute for activation," Jaden said with a smile. "Then, I'll Special Summon another 'Cotton Cloud' from your Graveyard. Of course, this time it will be in Attack Position."
The Death Spirit Shaman's sorcery activated, and with a wave of its large hand, Cotton Cloud, along with its protective "Safe Zone," instantly turned into specks of light and dissipated in the whirlwind of sorcery.
The specks of light quickly regrouped, converging and transforming back into Cotton Cloud. But this time, Cotton Cloud had changed from a defensive posture to an attacking stance.

Finally, the Death Spirit Shaman's sorcery delivered the finishing blow.
A pitch-black vortex, imbued with deathly energy, surged through Cotton Cloud's body.
The three heroes took turns assaulting the soft, white creature, leaving it utterly battered and bruised. It slumped to the ground, limp like a rag that had been wrung dry.
Although it wouldn't be destroyed by battle, the damage was undeniable. The heroes' attacks pierced through Cotton Cloud, striking the Death Spirit directly and sending him flying like a ragdoll into the green barrier behind him. He then slid down softly to the ground.
