Chapter 316: Young Garp and Middle-Aged Whitebeard
Chapter 316: Young Garp and Middle-Aged Whitebeard
The black light bombardment reduced the remaining half of the castle to rubble, creating a deep pit in the ground.
Just then, within this pit, the mist that should have been extinguished stirred once more. It twisted and turned, rapidly ascending like a spear, aiming straight for Sag.
"Still alive, huh?"
A cold sneer curved Sag's lips as he gathered black light in his hands once more. It would only take two breaths.
The entity hidden within the mist seemed to merge with it, becoming one. However, it was not a Natural type and could barely be considered special. It merely gave the illusion of being a Natural type.
Indiscriminate large-scale attacks would definitely hit their mark.
And yet, this person dared to narrow the range, all for the sake of catching up to him? He didn't even need to expand the range; one hit would be enough to shatter them!
"Eliminating Slash!"
Just as the black light was about to strike down, the mist gathering upward suddenly condensed into a familiar figure at its tip.
Seeing this figure made Sag stiffen.
He wore a shirt, his sleeves rolled up to reveal a broad chest and sturdy physique. A head of black hair framed a bold smile, baring large teeth, and a scar marked his left temple.
"Garp!"
Sag's eyes widened, and his lips curled as he dispersed the black light gathered in both hands. His right fist became a blur as it accelerated, punching toward the oncoming Garp.
Bang! The fist landed squarely on Garp's cheek, embedding itself and twisting Garp's face to the side.
However, Garp, maintaining his flying lunge and fist, stubbornly resisted the blow, slowly moving his face back into position. He bared his teeth and laughed at Sag.
That posture, aside from not being able to speak, was exactly the same!
Bang! Garp's iron fist slammed into Sag's head.
With this punch, Sag involuntarily flew downward. Simultaneously, the mist that had been gathered into a line spread out once more, like a giant mouth swallowing him whole.
Within the mist, countless figures stirred.
They were also navy and pirates, but this time, they seemed much more robust.
They had faces! Sag even recognized some of them.
"Reddog? How did you turn into such a little brat?"
The attacked Sag laughed heartily. He twisted his body in the air, and with a kick, he struck Reddog, who had not an ounce of fat on his chin. Hitting the pressure point, Sag's kick caused Reddog to explode.
"Bull, Squirrel! Hohohoho, you're also much younger, like adolescents!"
Sag's body twisted, and his fists became wind, smashing the two familiar guys to pieces.
After the punches, he twisted his body again, lifting one leg and transforming it into a hurricane that shredded everyone rushing toward him in the air.
"Hundred Fracturing Grand Spin!"
The hurricane broke through the mist and instantly made contact with the ground, vanishing and revealing Sag's figure. He laughed wildly,
"Bring Garp out again! That punch just now truly felt like Garp's. Can you summon the younger him?"
The Garp from just now was not the one currently known with a head full of white hair but the younger Garp!
That punch was solid and even heavier than the elderly Garp that Sag had encountered!
Beneath the mist, the constantly regenerating figures disappeared, and a burly figure slowly walked out.
He raised his fists, baring his teeth in a smile as he looked at Sag with fighting spirit and an unyielding, bold demeanor.
Young Garp!
No.
Even more exaggerated than that!
The aura this guy exuded was solid and not illusory. Just by standing there, he exerted a oppressive feeling.
Plus, there was Reddog, whom he had beaten to death, as well as the younger Bull and Squirrel.
"Memory? You've encountered Garp in your memory? From what period is this?"
Sag squatted slightly, his arms rising and falling, "The period when he caught Roger?"
"Even earlier!"
The young Garp let out a silent, arrogant laugh as he jumped up, fist slamming down. Even his fist was covered in Haki!
"I'll give it a try myself!"
Sag stepped forward and threw a swift punch upward, colliding with Garp's fist.
Bang!!
The air burst forth from their fists, clashing for only a moment before Sag's sinister smile widened. The Haki on his fist coiled like viscous fire, forcefully pushing Garp's fist away.
Hiss!
Garp's arm sprayed blood, but his body didn't back down. He continued to engage with Sag, only stopping when his arm suddenly froze in place and was deflected by Sag's fist.
Bang!
Another punch landed on his face, sending Garp flipping through the air and crashing to the ground. He then dissipated into the mist.
"Good! Very good!"
Sag laughed, "Very similar. The younger Garp had even heavier punches. Your simulation is impressive, but your Haki is different. That's your own Haki, isn't it? It's too weak!"
It wasn't just about strength; even in terms of personality, although he couldn't speak, that unyielding spirit that refused to back down, even when injured, was evident.
Even so, he still attempted to counter after being hit.
It was all due to his inadequate Haki.
This ability could simulate Garp from his memory, even retaining his more robust physique and that familiar 'bone-crushing' punching technique! The only downside was that the Haki was far too weak!
"This level of Garp isn't enough. Show me something more interesting!"
Whoosh!
As soon as he finished speaking, a storm stirred within the mist, forming a gigantic figure before Sag.
Nearly forty meters tall, its body was a ghastly green, with a string of skulls around its neck, two horns on its head, and sharp fangs. It resembled a malevolent ghost.
Sag recognized this creature.
During the Summit War, it was the ancient giant, Oz Jr., whom Moriah had defeated with a single blow.
Seeing this figure, Sag scoffed, "You try to compensate for your inadequate Haki by recreating the Giant Tribe, hoping to overpower me with sheer size? Let me tell you something!"
He clenched his fists, Haki condensing around them. With a single punch, he unleashed a shockwave that struck Oz Jr., who had just begun to attack.
Boom!
With just one punch, Oz Jr.'s body erupted with blood, and after a brief spasm, he fell backward and dissolved into the mist.
"Haki surpasses all!"
Sag declared, "When Haki is lacking, how strong can your body be? No matter how massive your physique, under my attacks, it's nothing but tofu!"
Giants?
While the Giant Tribe was indeed born with superior strength, it was all relative, wasn't it?
To him, their large bodies were as good as live targets. Even when he augmented his size, the range of his Haki would expand, resulting in a decrease in its concentration.
Moriah could pierce through Oz Jr. with a single shadow-gathering technique, but Sag could do it even better.
One punch was all it took.
The mist stirred once more, revealing a single outstretched arm first. The arm was posed with the hand hanging backward, and as the mist completely dissipated, a tall figure emerged.
His clothes draped like a cape over his bare, scarred upper body.
Under his captain's hat was a head of golden hair and the iconic white beard!
Hum!
Within the hanging fist, a hazy white light coalesced.
Whitebeard!
The middle-aged version!
Boom!!
An intense vibration emanated from within the mist, cracking the surrounding terrain and leaving fissures in the air. The violent tremors caused Sag's body to stagger.
He stared at the figure before him in astonishment, unable to hide his surprise, "You can even simulate Devil Fruit abilities?"
