Chapter 315: Luo, Lolita!!!
Chapter 315: Luo, Lolita!!!
"Mister, thank you", Kerla sighed in relief as they stepped outside the gates, wrapping an arm around Yi Xiao's shoulders with a grin. "I’m Kerla. Mister, what’s your name?"
"I am Yi Xiao", he replied. "If trouble is your middle name, that makes you trouble incarnate, Big miss."
"Fear the Navy? Are you a pirate?"
"Not at all! We despise pirates too—especially those criminals", Kerla said, her eyes twinkling. "Yi Xiao-san, you saved me. Let me treat you to dinner."
Yi Xiao rubbed his stomach. "Since I’m famished, I’ll accept your kindness."
"Yi Xiao-san, follow me. I know a great place!" Kerla flashed a wisp of a sly smile, tugging him toward the bustling street.
"Hey, what’s going on?!"
At that moment, a booming voice echoed down the street. A towering bald man shoved through the crowd in front of the gates, glaring at the line of people and the weak martial artists organizing them like obsequious lackeys.
The crowd split into two reactions. Those in line erupted in joy, while the martial artists paled.
"It’s Luo Shan!"
"The Luo Family finally showed up! Hey Luo Shan, there are Navy here maintaining order. Did your Luo Family approve this?"
The bald giant was instantly recognizable to anyone frequenting Tui Town—a man known as the Luo Family’s "Gatekeeper" and "impenetrable defense", famed across the region for his strength.
Veins bulged on Luo Shan’s forehead. "There’re actually Navy causing trouble here? What a joke!"
His eyes widened, a dull ache throbbing from his recent injuries. He’d just woken up, plotting revenge on Luo Wei, when news of Revolutionary Army forces mobilizing in Tui Town reached him. The Luo Family’s elite had already deployed. But as he stepped out, he found the streets littered with unconscious bodies. After reviving one, he learned the truth: Navy were raiding the area to arrest criminals.
That stunned him. When had Navy last dared investigate "criminals" here? Half the people in Tui Town were criminals! Under the Luo Family’s rules, no one dared act out—not even Navy. Their arrangement had lasted over two decades. Now, with the Martial Arts Grand Tournament, both Revolutionary Army and Navy were stirring up chaos.
"Luo Shan", a frail martial artist stammered, "the Navy ordered us to assist! It’s not our doing!"
Luo Shan cracked his knuckles, eyes narrowing. "Time’s made you forget our rules? Let me remind you who truly rules this land!"
Boom!!!
"Ahh!!!"
Inside the casino, a martial artist flew backward, crashing to the ground with a spray of blood and rolling eyes.
"Huh?"
Kuro, who’d just organized the crowd, turned as the giant strode in.
"Luo Shan!"
"Great! Now that he’s here, those Navy are done for!"
"I’m not leaving! Stupid Navy, your time’s up!"
The crowd erupted in cheers.
"Navy!!!" Luo Shan pointed at Kuro. "Who gave you the right to arrest people on Luo Family territory?!"
"Luo Family?" Kuro smirked, lounging on a knocked-out martial artist, cigar dangling. "You’re with the Luo Family?"
"I’m Luo Shan, the Tui Town ‘Gatekeeper’!" he declared, puffing his chest.
"Eh?" Lida chimed in. "Aren’t the Luo Family all white-haired? Mister, you’re bald!"
Luo Shan twitched, veins popping. "I’m twenty-eight! Not a ‘mister’—call me Big Brother! And my hair’s just subtle! Look closely—it’s white! Even down there—"
"Klah." Kuro cut in coolly.
"Calm Step!"
A blue slash zipped forward, exploding into smoke on Luo Shan’s face.
Klah lowered his leg, eyes narrowing. "Blocking it?"
As the smoke cleared, Luo Shan emerged unscathed, grinning savagely.
"Interesting! Six Styles, huh? Using a kick to create a vacuum slash like Flying Slash. Learned it!"
He retaliated with a blue slash twice the size, hurtling toward Klah.
Klah sidestepped, the attack slicing past him and cleaving a pillar in two.
"Definitely a Luo Family member", Lida mused, tapping her chin. "But no hair?"
"Normal", Kuro drawled. "Like Saiyans always having a bald guy. These tall bald guys always get blown up by shorter cousins."
"I’m not—"
Luo Shan crouched, feet cratering the floor. Like a cannonball, he rocketed toward Kuro, fist cloaked in black Haki.
"Baldy!!!" Kuro snorted, eyeing the Haki. "What’s with West Blue? Everyone here’s got Haki?!"
"I’ll handle this!"
A crisp crack rang out. Luo Shan’s fist halted inches from Kuro as a small hand gripped his wrist.
Looking down, he gaped at the white-haired girl now standing before him. With a shove, she sent him stumbling backward.
He stared at his massive palm, then at the girl, now smirking, veins multiplying on his temple.
"A brat stopping me—the Luo Family’s strongest defense? Don’t kid me!"
He inhaled, swelling further, Haki blazing.
"Decision time! I’m killing you all! No survivors! Rebuilding the casino’s easy—Grandpa won’t mind!"
Feet planted, he targeted Lida and Kuro, Haki intensifying.
"External Release", Kuro muttered. "Lida, end him. No time to waste."
"Roger that!" Lida flashed a thumbs-up.
"You think a little girl can beat me? Sure, she’s strong, but not all white-haired are Luo Family! Even if they were, only—"
"Superspeed Shave!"
Lida became a blur, materializing before Luo Shan, hand on his gut.
"Energy Drain!"
"Ah!!!"
Luo Shan’s face contorted, his body deflating like a punctured balloon.
Lida shifted to maiden form, palm striking his chest. "Here’s your Essence back!"
Boom!!!
A blinding white shockwave engulfed Luo Shan.
Within the light, his form crumpled. Eyes wide, he stared at Lida—the maiden form mirroring Luo Wei’s long-lost sister.
"Lu—Lolita!!!"
The blast hurled Luo Shan through the gates, cratering the ground beside the crowd. Smoke rising, his twitching body lay unconscious.
"Job done!" Lida chirped, reverting to her child form.
"Nice work", Kuro chuckled. "Told you a short cousin would blast him away!"
"Hmph! I’m just comfortable in this body, Kuro!" Lida pouted.
"Sure, sure", Kuro shrugged, smiling at the stunned crowd. "Now, back in line! Straighten up!"
The previously chaotic line snapped into order.
"Good. Now, queue up, turn left at the port, and go home."
Or sink to the bottom of the sea.
