Chapter 305: Voldemort's Treasure (Second Update)
Chapter 305: Voldemort's Treasure (Second Update)
"Who are you really?"
Young Voldemort's eyes widened in disbelief.
Who was this person? He couldn't possibly be a thirteen-year-old young wizard. The true power displayed and the knowledge possessed were far beyond what any young wizard could understand.
Even Dumbledore, his greatest adversary, didn't know about his Horcruxes or their locations, let alone the fact that he had created them.
Jerry shrugged and picked up the second layer of the Matryoshka Doll:
"You don't need to know who I am. Just know that I will seal each of your Horcruxes one by one, so you may never see the light of day again!"
"Seal!"
With a gesture, Jerry pulled the weakened soul of young Voldemort and placed it inside the second layer of the Matryoshka Doll.
"Ha ha ha, what does it matter if we are sealed? We are immortal, and you are an ambitious Slytherin. Dumbledore won't let you off. Sooner or later, you will open the seal and release us!"
Young Voldemort issued a mental suggestion to Jerry in the last moments before being sealed.
"That's not your concern. I'm not like you. My only goal is to make this world better for witches and wizards. I have no intention of ruling anyone, so why would Dumbledore oppose me?"
Jerry knew that young Voldemort was trying to sow discord between him and Dumbledore, but what young Voldemort didn't know was that Jerry's ultimate goal was to enhance his own magical abilities, not to gain power or rule over witches and wizards.
At most, he would try to improve the decaying world of magic, making it more prosperous and conducive to the development of various magical fields, fostering the creation of new and powerful spells.
One person's energy is limited, and he wasn't a true genius. Relying solely on his own research to become a being like a Dimensional Deity would take an unknown amount of time.
But with the help of many, the fire burns brighter. By writing and publishing his findings, he could gain both fame and wealth, and through the new ideas and insights of others, he could learn even more and become even stronger.
Most importantly, the Harry Potter world was just one of his many mini-worlds. There was no need to waste time and energy on the same destructive path as Voldemort.
Even if he eventually clashed with Dumbledore, it wouldn't be a problem.
Dumbledore was aging, while he was growing stronger. What was there to worry about?
After completely sealing Voldemort's main soul and the fragments, Jerry began to search the entire house and the surrounding space.
As Voldemort's secret base for studying Dark Magic, he believed this place would contain many of Voldemort's magical research notes and useful items.
Sure enough, after a thorough search, he found many valuable items.
First, there were some rare herbs and high-level potions, mostly for harmful purposes, along with some of Voldemort's original potion recipes.
The most important find was the Rebirth Potion and the accompanying Resurrection Charm.
As a potion master on par with Snape, Voldemort had created a Rebirth Potion. When used with his Resurrection Charm and some auxiliary items, it could perfectly resurrect a person whose soul remained in the world after death.
In addition to this, he found a considerable amount of Dark Magic created by Voldemort, such as how to create and control Inferi, how to make a Horcrux, the Dark Mark, and Spirit Possession, among others.
Jerry discovered that Voldemort's research in Dark Magic, particularly in the realm of the soul, was indeed exceptional.
Of course, he wouldn't engage in Dark Magic with severe side effects like creating a Horcrux, but mastering these techniques would greatly benefit his soul-related magic studies.
So, in a way, the soul of Voldemort in the diary didn't completely deceive him. There was indeed treasure here, though not the treasure of Slytherin, but Voldemort's treasure.
Additionally, he found a snake on the second floor, one that contained a significant amount of magic power.
The snake had intended to ambush Jerry during the soul battle with Voldemort, but it was easily subdued by Ebony Throat, who had been guarding Jerry all along.
Initially, Jerry planned to kill the snake, but he changed his mind.
He remembered that this snake was likely to be Nagini, the last Horcrux Voldemort created. However, at this point in time, it hadn't been turned into a Horcrux yet.
In fact, this snake had a rather complex identity. If he recalled correctly, Nagini was the blood-cursed human-beast from "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald."
In human form, she was a beautiful woman with an Eastern appearance.
Blood-cursed human-beasts were a pitiful race. They were born in human form but, due to the bloodline curse, had the ability to transform into fantastic beasts.
As they aged, they would completely transform into beasts and lose their human memories.
Thus, the fantastic beasts encountered in the wild might once have been blood-cursed human-beasts.
Jerry changed his mind because he believed that blood-cursed human-beasts were likely the failed products of early human attempts to integrate fantastic beast bloodlines to gain their powers.
Nagini's existence might help him in his future research on the formation and enhancement of witch bloodlines.
So, he used Bonding Magic to bind Nagini and then placed her in his Box Space under Sun Long's care.
"Oh wow, quite a few Little Red Stars!"
After thoroughly looting Voldemort's base, Jerry left the Albanian Forest satisfied and returned to the inn on Greek Magic Street.
As soon as he got back to the inn, he opened his Panel to check the increase in his Little Red Stars.
Sure enough, as he expected, even though he didn't kill Voldemort outright, just sealing him earned him a hefty 50,000 Little Red Stars.
He believed that continuing to seal the other Horcruxes would also yield more Little Red Stars.
When he finally removed all of Voldemort's souls from this world, ensuring he could never harm it again, Jerry estimated he would receive even more Little Red Stars.
After all, Voldemort was the world's major antagonist. Although his mischief was primarily in the British witch community, eliminating him would undoubtedly prevent many witch and Muggle deaths.
Thus, in the month leading up to the start of the school term, Jerry would focus on studying the findings from Voldemort's secret base and writing his first magic book.
