Chapter 305: Come to My Room Tonight, I've Got Something Good to Show You
Vice Marshal Lucas frowned slightly. "While I understand your intentions, I still feel uneasy about this. Are we not taking too much of a risk?"
"What, you have a problem with it?" Su Yu raised an eyebrow.
Lucas was taken aback and quickly shook his head. "No, no, of course not! Everything will be as you say!"
Although he held a high rank and had contributed significantly during the war to reclaim the nation, if Su Yu truly decided to remove him from his position, no one could stop him. Lucas naturally dared not oppose Su Yu.
"Then it's settled!" Su Yu clapped his hands and turned to look at Antonidas, standing at the end of the tent.
Antonidas was dressed in a deep blue mage's robe, holding a magic staff taller than himself. His eyes were filled with starlight, and his face was devoid of expression, clearly indicating he was under deep control.
"Antonidas, how many people can your Mass Teleportation spell transport from here to Sea Rock City?" Su Yu asked.
Antonidas's body jolted as if starting a machine. "How far is the distance?"
Su Yu glanced at the scale on the map and replied, "A total of 3,785 kilometers."
"Such a long distance..." Antonidas stroked his long beard, which hung down to his waist. "If I were to teleport seventh-tier experts, I could manage two. The lower the tier of the person being teleported, the more I can transport."
Su Yu rubbed his chin. "What if they were all first-tier adventurers?"
"Approximately..." Antonidas pondered for a moment. "10,000 to 12,000 people, depending on the current spatial fluctuations."
"12,000 people should be enough!" Su Yu was satisfied with this number.
Antonidas continued, "However, teleporting that many people will completely drain my mana. I'll need at least two weeks to recover."
"Alright, we'll teleport 10,000 people and leave you with some mana to spare." Su Yu made his decision.
Antonidas bowed respectfully. "Thank you!"
Su Yu had already decided that these 10,000 spots would be reserved for players.
After all, players couldn't die; being killed in conflict would only log them out for half an hour. Additionally, the items players obtained from raids were mission items and wouldn't be privately appropriated like those of NPCs, making them highly beneficial for completing his tasks.
Thus, Su Yu opened the "Guild Leader Chat Room" and posted the message: "Urgently recruiting 10,000 elite players for a main quest to help the newbies!"
Crimson Eye Black Dragon: [Facepalm Emoji] Newbie? What part of you is new?
Su Yu: "Hehe, Crimson Eye, you're not part of this mission."
Crimson Eye Black Dragon: "I was wrong! Please, brother! I really was wrong!!!" [Terrified Emoji]
Laser Pointer: "What's the task, Leader? I'm a newbie and really want to know."
Su Yu: "It's a 'raid' mission, and I have a feeling the rewards will be even better than those from the previous 10,000-player battles!"
Laser Pointer: "A 'raid'? I love it!"
Laser Pointer: "By the way, does Leader want to fence?"
Su Yu: "."
He suddenly felt like kicking this person out of the chat room.
But speaking of "fencing"...
Su Yu closed the chat room interface and looked at Antonidas. "Antonidas, come to my room tonight, I've got something good to show you."
"Understood," Anthidas replied without hesitation.
The entire camp was left in confusion.
Vice Marshal Lucas was even more bewildered.
Kexing could be ambiguous with the princess and Tina Marshal, but now he's interested in this old man? What kind of unique taste does he have?
Su Yu didn't bother to explain. "Alright, meeting dismissed! Everyone will have three days to rest and adjust. Three days from now, at ten o'clock in the morning, the army will set out."
"Understood!" The generals in the tent responded in unison.
That night, as darkness fell, Anthidas arrived at Su Yu's residence as promised.
Su Yu's home was located in the wealthy western district of Maple Leaf City, originally belonging to Duke Anzu Seifer.
After the Seifer family was wiped out, the princess simply waved her hand, and the house became Su Yu's. He often entertained NPC guests here.
Anthidas followed the servant with a stoic expression.
In a quiet, secluded chamber deep within the courtyard, he finally met with Su Yu.
"Lord Kexing," Anthidas bowed respectfully. "What do you need from me?"
Before Su Yu could answer, Anthidas added, "The princess has instructed me that if you make any strange requests, I can refuse."
"Strange requests? What did the princess mean by that?" Su Yu asked innocently.
"Um..." Anthidas was momentarily speechless.
"Let's not talk about that. I called you here to show you something." Su Yu waved his hand and took out the [Golden Fleece Planar Chain] from his backpack.
He usually kept this and the [Celestial Race Emblem] in his bag, rarely wearing them. These items were too valuable, and he feared that stronger NPCs might be envious and try to take them.
"This is..." Anthidas's eyes widened as he stared at the star-studded necklace in Su Yu's hand, his breathing becoming heavy.
For a spatial mage, this necklace was a treasure! Continuously deciphering its secrets could benefit a spatial mage for a lifetime.
It wouldn't be an exaggeration to call it a spatial mage's "graduation necklace"!
Seeing his "graduation necklace" in Su Yu's hands, how could he not be excited? If not for the binding contract with the princess, he would have lunged to snatch it!
Taking a deep breath to calm himself, Anthidas looked at Su Yu. "Lord Kexing, is there anything else you need from me? Surely you didn't just call me here to show off this necklace?"
"Of course not." Su Yu smiled and shook his head, his expression turning serious. "I called you here to learn spatial magic. I've never studied it before, so it would be best to start from the basics."
"What? You've never learned spatial magic?" Anthidas's eyes widened, and he felt a sharp pain in his chest.
A spatial mage's dream "graduation necklace" in the hands of a complete novice! It was a waste, a terrible waste!
He gripped his magic staff so tightly that it creaked, almost breaking.
Finally, he forced out the words through gritted teeth, "Fine, I will teach you. But my condition is that you must plead with the princess to reduce the time I am controlled."
"Don't worry, I'll take care of it!" Su Yu replied confidently.
