Chapter 304: Blood Essence
Chapter 304: Blood Essence
A crimson radiance soared and vanished in the blink of an eye.
On the hilltop, Wen Min's eyes widened in disbelief.
Young Yaji tightly gripped his dirty little sister's hand, his pupils constricting in shock.
"This... Is this something Mr. Qi can do?"
The scene before them seemed to surpass Yaji's imagination.
Even modern weapons would struggle to create such a terrifying spectacle.
If one had to compare it to something, perhaps only the special effects of a horror movie depicting a divine attack could come close.
But even that was just a movie, exaggerating the power of the divine.
Yet, the sight before them was more awe-inspiring.
Yaji's young mind was filled with a myriad of emotions.
"Is Mr. Qi... on par with the divine?"
At that moment, deep within the military camp, in a steel building's dungeon.
Kan Huan's eyes flashed with surprise.
"The sounds... they've stopped!"
Beside Kan Huan, a man with a thick beard exclaimed, his eyes wide, "A flash of red light... and everything's gone!"
They were confined in the depths of the dungeon.
Yet, even so, they had heard the earlier gunfire and explosions.
Initially, they thought the camp was under attack, their hearts racing, unsure of what awaited them.
They had never imagined this camp could be breached.
After all, this was within Wugu Kingdom's borders.
With three thousand soldiers, Yue Lang Kingdom would struggle to launch a full-scale invasion.
A war of such magnitude would be difficult for Yue Lang Kingdom to hastily organize.
They likely faced a minor attack.
But then, suddenly, the world turned blood-red in an instant.
This sight left Kan Huan completely stunned.
The bearded man, imprisoned with him, wore a bewildered expression, unsure of what had transpired.
Especially after the massive blood-red light flashed by, followed by a loud commotion, the entire camp suddenly fell silent.
The sounds of gunfire and alarms disappeared.
Even the soldiers stationed in the dungeon seemed to have vanished without a trace.
It was eerie, to say the least.
"What happened?"
"Why is there no sound at all?"
Both men were baffled beyond belief.
In their minds, the blood-red radiance lingered.
Neither of them had any idea what had transpired.
Footsteps.
Just then, footsteps echoed through the dungeon.
The soft footsteps were unusually clear and loud in the confined space.
Both men held their breath, then exhaled in relief.
The footsteps meant the camp was safe.
The soldiers were likely on patrol.
Suddenly, right where the footsteps originated, a blood-red sword aura flashed.
Before they could react in shock, the iron door, the dungeon's only entrance, shattered like tofu.
This sight truly terrified Kan Huan and the bearded man.
"What... what's going on? What weapon is this? Who is it?" The bearded man's mind was filled with countless questions.
Just then, a slender and well-proportioned figure emerged from the broken door, a handsome and carefree smile on his face.
"Kan Huan, I'm here to take you away."
"Mr. Qi... Mr. Qi!"
Upon seeing this person, Kan Huan's heart surged with overwhelming emotions.
The bearded man paused, then turned to Kan Huan, "You know him? What's going on?"
Today, he had uttered the most words, all asking what was happening.
Qi Yuan stood before them, looking at Kan Huan, and said calmly, "I received a call from your wife, saying you were in trouble in Wugu Kingdom and captured by their military."
Qi Yuan spoke nonchalantly.
Kan Huan's heart trembled with shock, then gratitude.
The bearded man, on the other hand, was perplexed, and said, "That commotion earlier, was it you? Your team is powerful, and that blood-red light... what kind of weapon is it? Why haven't I heard of it?"
The bearded man seemed to have a million questions.
He voiced Kan Huan's own doubts.
Qi Yuan, seeing the two men, said calmly, "The blood-red light is, of course, a sword aura."
"Alright, let's leave, back to Qin Yuan Kingdom."
As Qi Yuan spoke, he waved his longsword once more.
The iron dungeon door shattered instantly.
The bearded man's eyes widened in disbelief.
Kan Huan, however, remained calm.
He knew Qi Yuan was a cultivator.
Slicing through an iron door... it was not a big deal for him.
"Sir, this bearded man is also from Qin Yuan Kingdom. Can he come with us?" Kan Huan asked cautiously.
After all, Qi Yuan had taken a risk to rescue him.
There were three thousand soldiers stationed above.
Each additional person increased the risk.
Naturally, Qi Yuan should have used drones to bomb the camp, causing chaos, and then rescued Kan Huan with the help of his sister, Kuang Xi.
Engaging in a direct confrontation with the military was out of the question.
The well-equipped three thousand modern soldiers could unleash unimaginable combat power.
"Sure." Qi Yuan nodded.
Bigbeard and Kan Huan emerged from the dungeon.
Bigbeard's eyes lit up with delight, "Thank you."
The two men followed Qi Yuan, their minds filled with questions, but they knew they should quickly and discreetly leave the military camp and meet up with their contact. It wasn't wise to linger.
Just then, Qi Yuan spoke again, "We're not in a hurry to leave. There's a place in this camp... quite interesting. Follow me."
Kan Huan, facing Qi Yuan, naturally dared not have any objections.
Bigbeard, on the other hand, was anxious, "What if the soldiers above discover us while we're not hurrying to leave?"
"Don't worry, they won't find us because... they're all dead." Qi Yuan said casually.
Bigbeard was taken aback, still puzzled.
"I killed them all." Qi Yuan revealed without any hesitation or need for secrecy.
Bigbeard was stunned, his confusion lingering.
Kan Huan's eyes narrowed, a chilling thought forming in his mind.
Could it be...
Before the conversation could continue, Qi Yuan led the two men through the dungeon.
Along the way, they encountered numerous dead soldiers.
The corpses seemed peaceful, retaining their pre-death appearances, with no visible wounds. It was as if... they had died suddenly in their daily routine.
Bigbeard fell silent, not daring to speak, only stealing glances at Qi Yuan.
Kan Huan remained quiet, his pace unconsciously quickening.
Soon, they passed through many buildings and arrived at a large iron door.
The air seemed to be filled with the scent of disinfectant and a strong, pungent blood odor.
The long sword flashed again.
The iron door collapsed with a loud boom.
Kan Huan watched Qi Yuan's move, his eyes filled with envy.
Bigbeard, on the other hand, was astonished, deep in thought, wondering how Qi Yuan had accomplished this.
The shattered door revealed a massive hall to the group.
Inside the hall stood over thirty enormous cylindrical glass containers.
Each container was filled with liquid, and within the liquid, three people were immersed, their bodies pierced with tubes through which blood slowly flowed.
These people were weak, their bodies devoid of life, like poisonous corpses preserved in medicinal wine.
"What is this?"
"Human experimentation... or something worse! The Guiran people are truly heartless!" Bigbeard clenched his fists, anger rising within him.
As fellow humans, witnessing others treated as experimental subjects was heart-wrenching.
Qi Yuan looked at the immersed people, a hint of regret in his eyes, "Their life force is completely gone... beyond medical help."
These people, or rather, these corpses, had long since passed.
In his eyes, a glint of determination flashed, "The Guiran people deserve to be killed. This isn't just a crime; it's a corruption of societal values. It's... a complete disregard for life!"
These people must be evil incarnate!
Qi Yuan, a champion of law and good, despised evil above all else.
The thought of civilians being captured and subjected to experiments beneath the military camp was abhorrent to him.
In the 1984 version, there's no mistake!
He gazed forward, his long sword in hand, ready to strike.
With a crisp snap, all the tubes disconnected.
The people in the glass containers, their blood and bodily fluids, finally ceased to be extracted.
Yet, even so, they showed no reaction, as if they were already dead.
"I must capture this moment, where's my phone? I'll expose the crimes of the Guiran people!" Bigbeard exclaimed in anger.
Kan Huan's heart was heavy.
Killing came easily to him, but experimenting on civilians was beyond his moral boundaries.
"These aren't even human!" Kan Huan gritted his teeth.
These civilians represented countless families.
Among them was even a teenager, barely in his teens, who had been captured and brought here.
Just then, Qi Yuan narrowed his eyes and spoke softly, "Come out."
Bigbeard's heart raced with caution.
Kan Huan shared his sentiment, certain that someone was hiding within.
A loud, monstrous roar echoed.
The ground trembled at that moment.
A terrifyingly massive beast, larger than an elephant, emerged, roaring fiercely.
Its body was drenched in blood, its appearance menacing.
Rubber tubes protruded from its body.
The beast resembled a war machine, charging towards the three men with a ferocious roar.
"Monster!" Bigbeard exclaimed, his face pale with fear.
The sheer size of the monster was intimidating, its presence overwhelming.
There was a sense that this creature could effortlessly hurl tanks and armored vehicles with its might.
Charging towards the three men, how could they possibly defend themselves?
The monstrous creature before them was undoubtedly a product of the Guiran people's experiments, a terrifying creation.
Qiyuan's heart was filled with fear, but facing this colossal monster, he remained eerily calm.
Hehe, this... and it dares to call itself a god?" Qiyuan laughed, hands on his hips, as he read the label on the creature.
The label on the monster read, "God Creation Program - Gigapower God Model One."
Apparently, the Wugu Kingdom had been conducting biological experiments, and this terrifying monster was their idea of a deity.
Qiyuan's longsword trembled in his hand once more.
"A god... without even having its own bones, made of metal?" he mused, a crimson glow flashing in his eyes.
The hundred-ton beast stiffened, its massive body freezing in space.
In an instant, the terrifying creature shattered into a large pool of blood.
The metallic skeleton fell, scattering across the ground, looking eerily out of place.
Bigbeard, witnessing this, gasped in awe. His gaze towards Qiyuan shifted, filled with newfound respect.
Kan Huan's eyes burned with excitement. "Mr. Qi, one day, may I have the honor of slaying such a beast with a single sword strike?"
Qiyuan's ability to slay the beast with a single sword stroke left Kan Huan in awe.
Was this the power of a Cultivator? With such strength, even a vehicle could be sent flying with a single strike.
"Of course, it's not difficult," Qiyuan patted his hand dismissively.
His longsword trembled again.
Suddenly, a crimson orb formed on the sword.
Qiyuan's eyes immediately registered the information within the orb.
This crimson orb was the power core of the terrifying beast, created from the essence of ordinary people.
The Guiran people had used the blood of civilians, combined with their advanced technology, to create this crimson beast.
This blood-colored monster was what they called a god.
It was undeniable that for ordinary people, even Gene Warriors, this terrifying beast was indeed godlike.
In terms of physical strength, this crimson beast rivaled a Foundation Establishment Cultivator.
Ordinary cannon shells couldn't harm it.
Qiyuan's eyes reflected various emotions as he stared at the blood essence. "If I consume this blood, my Martial Arts talent... will also increase significantly."
The blood essence, extracted by the Guiran people, had created this crimson beast. For Qiyuan, the greatest benefit was the boost to his Martial Arts talent.
"My Martial Arts talent is already strong. Why use these?" he thought.
He wasn't Shi Yi, after all.
Drinking human blood also carried the risk of viral infections. Moreover, the blood only enhanced a specific bloodline, and it was already solidified.
Qiyuan's thoughts were on cultivating his own bloodline Martial Arts.
He was the leader of his Martial Arts.
Otherwise, he'd have to answer to his ancestors.
He looked at the lifeless corpses, their vitality drained.
His longsword trembled once more.
"Rest in peace," he whispered.
With his words, the glass container shattered.
The entire steel structure collapsed, burying everything beneath it.
Qiyuan, holding Kan Huan and Bigbeard, instantly teleported back to the ground.
This display left Bigbeard in awe.
Qiyuan's mind was in turmoil, but his gaze towards Kan Huan was like that of a god.
However, as they emerged on the ground, seeing the ruins of the military base, his eyes flickered with surprise.
The collapsed steel structure, shattered tanks and armored vehicles, and the scattered bodies of soldiers...
This place had become a place of death.
Kan Huan's eyes also reflected surprise.
He understood.
Qiyuan had single-handedly slaughtered an entire military camp, and now he was here to rescue them.
"Let's go. I have to attend the Martial Arts Tournament," Qiyuan said.
"As for the Guiran people... I'll deal with them after I've taken care of my business."
Qiyuan, a Lawful Good man, couldn't stand the existence of chaos and evil.
Qiyuan felt a sense of coldness within himself today.
Qiyuan was self-aware.
If he were in a TV show, he'd be the Saint Father, no, the Saint Mother, and viewers wouldn't like him.
But Qiyuan didn't mind.
Kan Huan nodded at Qiyuan's words, though if he knew Qiyuan's true thoughts, he wouldn't have agreed.
You kill three thousand people with a single sword... and still dare to call yourself a Saint Mother?
Bigbeard, on the other hand, was astonished. "Qiyuan, you're participating in the Martial Arts Tournament?"
Some of Bigbeard's younger family members were also participating in the tournament.
Seeing a formidable warrior who had slain such a beast, and now wanting to compete in the tournament, he found it amusing.
"Do you know any of the participants? How strong are they? Are there any formidable opponents I should be wary of? My goal is to win the championship, but I'm not sure how difficult it will be." Qiyuan spoke softly.
Bigbeard thought of Qiyuan slaying the terrifying beast with a single sword strike. "It shouldn't be too difficult."
