Chapter 303: 100 Points
Chapter 303: 100 Points
The Kent siblings, Kent and Gema, hailed from the heart of the Duke's territory, born into a knightly family with a rich heritage of chivalry. Both were skilled knights, and their prowess would have ensured a comfortable life if not for the intervention of a foreign deity's vassal.
Kent, the elder brother, and Gema, his younger sister, were legendary knights, yet they lived in constant fear, never knowing when their lives might be at stake.
The drizzle fell like a curtain, shrouding the valley in a misty haze. The siblings huddled together beneath a protruding rock, applying ointment to their wounds while observing the surroundings.
There were in the valley, half of whom were legendary knights.
"Black Wolf Raiders!" Kent's gaze fell upon one of them, and he whispered, "That must be Blood Wolf, the ruthless leader of the Black Wolf Raiders. I never thought he'd be captured too."
Gema nodded in agreement. "And the Sand Bandits, a group that never follows rules, are now obediently following orders."
Apparently dissatisfied with the siblings' performance, Carl took action again, capturing over twenty people, including Blood Wolf and the leaders of the Sand Bandits.
Unbeknownst to them, everyone except the Kent siblings had a menacing aura about them.
In the current state of the world, anyone who wasn't rebellious would have likely become a subject of the foreign deity long ago.
Carl sat cross-legged in the center of the valley, his body enveloped in flames that swirled like blood, unmoving as a mountain.
An invisible aura, like a towering presence, overshadowed the entire valley. Even the usually defiant Blood Wolf and the vicious Sand Bandits bowed their heads subconsciously, afraid to look too closely.
"Umm..."
Suddenly, Carl opened his eyes, and the flames before him swirled and transformed into a three-dimensional image.
Upon closer inspection, the image centered on the valley where everyone was located and expanded outward for hundreds of miles, revealing the terrain in great detail.
"Each of you will have ten days to lure a low-order deity's vassal for me to consume. Failure to do so will result in a fiery punishment."
Carl clenched his fist, activating a flame restriction. Everyone in the field hummed in discomfort, their bodies trembling.
"If you can lure a mid-order or high-order vassal..." Carl's lips curled slightly.
"There will be a reward!"
"There are at least a hundred deity vassals in this area. Each of you will choose one to lure."
Everyone looked at each other, but Blood Wolf, the leader of the Black Wolf Raiders, had a fanatical gleam in his eyes. He stood up, bowed slightly to Carl, and then flew off into the distance.
A beam of light pierced the darkness.
A mid-order vassal of the Sun God held a long spear, his face cold as he watched a fleeing figure.
"Blood Wolf?"
"A native legendary knight dares to ruin my plans. He's asking for death!"
The light flickered, and within a few breaths, the vassal was in front of Blood Wolf, ready to finish him off with the spear.
But to the vassal's surprise, Blood Wolf showed no fear. Instead, his face lit up with manic joy.
Hmm? The vassal was taken aback. Before he could react, he felt a terrifying aura surge from below, instantly engulfing him.
"Boom!"
Carl retracted his hand, glancing at the data panel.
Essence +17
"Not bad."
He nodded at Blood Wolf and threw a fruit containing essence from his ethereal bag.
"Your reward!"
"Thank you," Blood Wolf said, swallowing the fruit without inspection. He sat on the ground, meditating silently.
Soon, he opened his eyes, feeling the surging battle energy within him. His cheek muscles twitched, as if suppressing a scream.
"Bloodthirst."
Blood Wolf thought for a moment, then looked at Carl, who was still seated in the valley. Suppressing his fear, he asked respectfully, "What do I need to do to advance to a Holy Knight?"
"Holy Knight?" Carl opened his eyes and scanned Blood Wolf. "Two high-order vassals or eight mid-order vassals. Complete the task, and I'll assist your advancement."
Blood Wolf licked his lips, his eyes gleaming with fanaticism.
.............
Two low-order vassals chased a group of Sand Bandits, and just as they were about to capture them, Carl suddenly appeared.
Essence +11
One mid-order vassal sensed something amiss and tried to escape, but Carl pursued and killed him from a distance.
Essence +16
Three deity vassals came to investigate the disappearance of their comrade, only to be lured and killed near the valley by the Kent siblings.
Essence +22
Scenes like this continued to unfold.
...
Lower-order vassals could provide five to ten points of Essence, mid-order vassals thirteen to twenty points, and high-order vassals offered the most, ranging from twenty to fifty points.
As for demigods...
It was estimated that at least a hundred points were needed!
Two months later.
Name: Karl
Constitution: 100
Mental Energy: 64
Essence: 0
Cultivation: Third Circle Warlock, Tier Three Forbidden Knight
Bloodline: Abyssal Squid (100%), Necromancer (30%), Pale Wing (Incomplete)...
His constitution finally reached the 100 mark! It wasn't that he couldn't continue to improve, but from now on, each point of constitution required the consumption of fifty points of Essence.
Without a breakthrough in realm, increasing numerical values wouldn't be of much use.
It was better to enhance his mental energy.

"Elder Battler!"
A sand bandit stood up, suppressing the anger in his heart, and said, "Recently, we've been luring divine servants over to you, which has made them wary. Now, there are hardly any divine servants roaming alone, and even if they notice us, they won't chase us too far."
"This can't go on!"
Karl, who had been meditating with his eyes closed, slowly opened them and stared at the speaker:
"So..."
"So the task you gave us is too difficult. Can you loosen the conditions a bit, or wait until later?"
The sand bandit tentatively spoke up.
As soon as his voice fell, his expression froze, and his cheeks twitched as he screamed and fell to the ground, rolling in agony.
The seal within his body had already been activated, burning his viscera and flesh, and even his seven orifices spewed flames.
"Ahh!"
"Ahh..."
"Spare me! Spare me!"
The sand bandit's screams were heart-wrenching, causing the others to turn pale and move away.
"I'll never dare again!!!"
Karl's expression remained indifferent, unmoved until the bandit was tortured to the point of exhaustion before he stopped the seal.
"I only want vassals; I don't care about the rest."
In other words, whether the task is difficult or not, it's up to you. I only demand to see the results.
Raising his head, he seemed to sense something and soared into the sky, and before long, the blood wolf, covered in wounds, was back on the ground.
"You killed a low-order vassal?"
"..." The blood wolf's body trembled:
"I wanted to lure a high-order vassal over, but I had to kill that low-order vassal he was interested in to have a chance."
"Boom!"
Before he finished speaking, his entire body was struck by a powerful force in the chest, and he spat out fresh blood, flying over a hundred meters away.
"The divine servant is mine!" Karl said, looking at the blood wolf with a cold voice:
"Without my permission, no one can touch them!"
"Pfft!" The blood wolf spat out blood, struggling to kneel on the ground, covering his eyes with gloom, and said heavily:
"Yes."
...
"Second Rank!"
The blood wolf licked the corner of his mouth, looking at the few demon lord's vassals in front of him, his eyes filled with both fear and a hint of fanaticism.
He didn't need much more merit to be promoted to the second rank; he just had to lure those in front of him over.
"Blood Wolf!"
Just as he was about to make a move, a familiar voice sounded:
"Chat?"
"Yellow Gale?" The blood wolf turned his head, looking at the sand bandit leader, his eyes narrowing:
"What do we have to talk about?"
"Heh..." Yellow Gale, wrapped in yellow sand, landed beside the blood wolf, and looked at the divine servants in front of them:
"You want to lure them to Elder Battler?"
"Hmm?" The blood wolf's expression darkened:
"Are you trying to steal my business?"
"No!" Yellow Gale shook his head:
"I just wanted to remind you that Elder Battler is a monster. As his bait, we'll eventually lose our lives. Have you ever seen a fisherman who is stingy with his bait?"
"Hmm..." The blood wolf's eyes flickered:
"What do you mean?"
"That monster Elder Battler can easily kill two mid-order vassals. His strength is probably in the late third rank." Yellow Gale said:
"Definitely not above third rank, otherwise, they wouldn't have us lure divine servants in batches."
"Don't you want to break free from his control?"
"Heh!" The blood wolf's face was filled with ridicule:
"He has placed a seal on us. It's not something we can break free from unless someone helps us remove it..."
"Hmm?"
His eyes flickered:
"Do you plan to turn to the divine servants?"
