With a single order from the Old Madam, several formidable maids from Fushou Court immediately set out for Haitang Court.
Guarding the entrance was Maid Liu.
Having served the Lu family for many years, she was familiar with everyone in the Old Madam's circle, especially the leading figure, Zhou Mama.
Maid Liu quickly greeted her with a smile, "Sister Zhou, what brings you here today?"
Zhou Mama replied imperiously, "Get out of my way!"
Maid Liu's smile froze, but she didn't move.
Zhou Mama glared impatiently, "I told you to move, can't you hear me?"
Maid Liu asked, "May I ask what brings you all to Haitang Court today?"
Zhou Mama shouted, "Do I need to explain my actions to a lowly maid like you? Scram!"
"What's with all the ruckus so early in the morning?"
Maid Wan threw the half-washed clothes into the basin with a thud! Only after throwing them did she realize they weren't her own but the young miss's. She hurriedly picked them up and awkwardly patted them down.
With a sullen face, she made her way to the entrance and asked Zhou Mama, "This is the First Young Master's courtyard. Are you sure the First Young Mistress will allow you in?"
Zhou Mama coldly replied, "Maid Wan, Maid Liu, have your guts grown fatter? You dare to block even me?"
Maid Wan folded her arms and asked, "So what if I'm blocking you?"
Zhou Mama straightened her back and said, "I am the First Young Master's wet nurse. I nursed him with my own milk! Even if I were to enter the First Young Master's courtyard, I would be invited in with the utmost respect. Is the First Young Mistress more esteemed than the First Young Master now?"
"Then why don't you go to the First Young Master's courtyard? What are you doing here in Haitang Court?"
"You—"
Zhou Mama was enraged, realizing that she had almost been tricked by Maid Wan. She didn't want to waste any more breath and was about to force her way in.
Maid Wan wasn't going to let her get away with it and pushed her to the ground.
With this push, both sides engaged in a full-blown fight.
At first, Maid Liu dared not join the fight, as the Old Madam's people and Lin Wan'er's people carried different weights.
However, seeing how desperately Maid Wan was fighting, she gritted her teeth and joined the fray.
The people from the Old Madam's courtyard were beaten and fled with their heads covered. Zhou Mama, seeing that she couldn't win, shamelessly ran to the outer courtyard and called over the servants and guards who were working there, a total of more than ten people.
Maid Wan and Maid Liu were pinned down.
Zhou Mama, along with several servants, rushed into the Haitang Court.
"Where's the silver?" Zhou Mama waved her hand, "Search the place!"
"Why is it so noisy? Isn't it almost time for breakfast?"
Yanning rubbed her eyes and stretched as she walked out of the house.
A tall and sturdy guard walked towards her. Seeing that he didn't recognize her, he asked, "Are you a maid from Haitang Court?"
Yanning nodded, "Who are you? Are you here to deliver breakfast?"
The guard didn't answer her but instead asked coldly, "Where is the First Young Mistress's silver kept?"
Yanning pointed to Meng Qianqian's room, "Over there."
The guard saw that she was cooperative and didn't make things difficult for her. He turned and left.
Just as he lifted his foot to step over the threshold, a slender hand suddenly rested on his shoulder.
He was startled.
Yanning: "Who allowed you to enter?"
The guard looked at her in disbelief from three paces away, the spot where Yanning had been standing just a moment ago.
When had this girl gotten so close? He hadn't noticed at all!
"Let go!"
"As you wish."
Yanning let go.
The next second, she sidestepped and lifted her leg, kicking the guard off the high wall!
No one saw what had happened; they only felt a dark shadow flash above their heads, not even a scream was heard. Birds in the trees flapped their wings and fled in panic.
It took a while for everyone to come back to their senses, and they all looked at Yanning.
Yanning asked seriously, "Who came to deliver breakfast?"
This girl must be an idiot!
Everyone looked at each other, exchanging glances. Two servants closest to Yanning walked towards her.
Yanning's gaze swept over the last person's empty hands, and her face turned cold. She clenched her fists and said, "None of you came to deliver breakfast, yet you woke me up early. I'm angry!"
She swung her fists, and with two loud bangs, the two servants were unable to fight back and were knocked out by her!
Everyone was stunned.
Zhou Mama took a step back, "You... what are you all standing there for? Hurry up and catch this girl!"
"It's over... it's over..." Mama Wan closed her eyes, not daring to watch any longer.
Bang!
A person fell heavily to the ground beside her.
"Tan'er ah—oh, no."
Bang!
Another person was thrown out.
"Tan'er—hey? That's not right either."

With her hands bound, Mama Wan lay calmly on the ground, staring at the pile of guards and servants who had fallen in front of her.
Finally, only Zhou Mama was left.
Zhou Mama turned and ran for it!
"You're the most annoying, Si Ni!"

A deep and stern voice rang out, and Lu Xingzhou appeared at the entrance of Haitang Court.
Zhou Mama clung to him like a lifeline, sobbing and hiding behind him.
Lu Xingzhou swept his gaze across the scene and asked coldly, "What's going on here?"
Zhou Mama exaggerated the story, explaining how she had been sent to retrieve the silver.
Maid Liu quickly interjected, "Master Lu! It was Zhou Mama who brought people here and started the fight!"
Tan'er stepped forward and asked Lu Xingzhou, "Where is Si Ni?"
Mama Wan lifted her head and whispered, "He's the First Young Master's wet nurse."
"Wet nurse?" Tan'er sized up Lu Xingzhou, "With such a dignified appearance, why would you want to become a eunuch? It's not worth it!"
Lu Xingzhou's expression darkened.
Mama Wan felt like dying: "Not that kind of wet nurse! It's the wet nurse's husband! Her father-in-law!"
Tan'er said to Mama Wan, "Speak up! I can't hear you!"
"Tan'er."
Meng Qianqian approached with Ban Xia.
Tan'er's eyes lit up, "Sister!"
The Old Madam arrived as well.
When she saw the scene before her, she could hardly believe her eyes.
Although the two maids from Haitang Court had been tied up and thrown on the ground, Zhou Mama and her group didn't fare much better. Aside from their bruised and swollen faces, their jackets were torn, and their hair had been pulled out, leaving bald patches!
Not to mention the dozen or so servants and guards who couldn't even crawl away...
"Who did this?"
The Old Madam demanded sternly.
"I did it!" Tan'er replied proudly.
The Old Madam was shocked, "You?"
Lu Xingzhou's suspicious gaze fell on Tan'er.
Meng Qianqian addressed Lu Xingzhou, "Father, ever since I was kidnapped, I've been plagued by nightmares. I thought it would be good to have a maid who could protect me, so I went to the slave market and bought Tan'er yesterday."
The Old Madam huffed, "That doesn't mean she can go around beating people up in this mansion!"
Meng Qianqian calmly replied, "Grandmother, Zhou Mama disregarded my reputation and boldly brought a group of strange men into my courtyard. If it weren't for Tan'er driving them out, my reputation would have been ruined. It wouldn't matter if my reputation suffered, but if it implicated my husband, my father, and the entire Lu family, should this account be settled with Zhou Mama or the one who instructed her, Grandmother?"
The Old Madam was left speechless.
She turned to Lu Xingzhou.
Lu Xingzhou did not immediately punish Tan'er.
Meng Qianqian knew her father-in-law too well. He was a selfish man who would sacrifice anything for the sake of his reputation.
Lu Xingzhou said, "Zhou Mama, you have served the family diligently for many years, but now that you're getting on in years, it's not suitable to have you continue working so hard."
Zhou Mama's face changed, "Master Lu!"
The Old Madam was furious. She pointed at Tan'er and said, "This girl beat up people, and you're not going to punish her. Instead, you want to drive away the wet nurse who nursed Lingxiao? You're trying to anger me to death!"
Lu Xingzhou: "Mother—"
The Old Madam pounded her chest, "You just don't want me around anymore because I'm old and useless!"
Tan'er rolled her eyes and said with her arms crossed, "It's not that hard to become younger. Isn't there a Grand Duke in the capital? If you go to him, I guarantee you'll immediately become his subordinate!"
