Chapter 30: Are You a Master Teacher Too?
Chapter 30: Are You a Master Teacher Too?
Mysterious Space.
Shinigami Luk lounged idly in his recliner, performing his daily duty of waiting for new arrivals. Compared to before, he now wore a sign around his neck that read "Heinous Criminal" in large letters.
This was his punishment after his last failed rebellion.
The other Leks had more twisted ideas, like writing a "Z" on his thigh or putting "All Night for Six Hundred" on the sign for ultimate humiliation.
But it was the Oddball Luk who felt this was too cruel for a man in his forties. After much persuasion, he managed to convince the others to settle with the "Everyone is a Luk, so if he’s six hundred, we’re all six hundred" logic.
Oddball Luk was truly one of the few consciences among the Leks, Shinigami Luk thought with a sigh, then chuckled darkly.
He would never give up his dream of unifying all the Leks. Living was about having dreams, and there was no greater sense of achievement than surpassing oneself.
Failure didn't matter; he would keep fighting until he became the emperor of all Leks. When asked why...
A man's dreams never end!
By then, he would appoint Oddball Luk as his vice-emperor, make the Fire Sea Leks his foot washers, and turn the rest into servants!
Even with the shared existence, he was determined to become the strongest Luk, forcing the others to acknowledge his legitimacy.
"Hehehe..."
As he fantasized about all the Leks kneeling before him, Shinigami Luk suddenly saw a figure drop out of the air and crash to the ground.
The figure slowly faded, then reappeared, letting out an angry roar.
"I'm going to get rid of Garp for sure!"
Pirate Luk got up, gritting his teeth, and declared, "Not just Garp, Ace and Dragon too! Luffy... I'll let Luffy off for now!"
He had passed out and found himself here, trying to return but discovering his body was still unconscious. Going back would mean sleeping.
"What's going on?" Shinigami Luk walked over, touched him, and the shared connection activated, his eyes widening.
"Damn! You fought Garp? How did you end up fighting Garp all of a sudden?"
Wasn't that a huge jump? One moment he was sparring with the level 10 newbies at the Frost Moon Dojo, and the next, he was facing the level 100 world boss, Iron Fist Garp?
Even at your current level, which is probably around fifty, you're like a half-developed Sword God of Ten Mile Slope challenging a demon lord?
"It wasn't me who wanted to fight him. I just wanted him to guide me, and he tried to kill me!"
Pirate Luk was incredibly frustrated. He had been beaten to within an inch of his life for no reason and was still unconscious. The only silver lining was that he was still alive.
"Hold on, you've mastered Haki in all its forms?" Shinigami Luk looked at Pirate Luk in shock, feeling the surge of power.
The first two were understandable, but Conqueror Haki?
Shinigami Luk thought for a moment and concluded it must be due to his influence, making the Leks' souls and spirits strong enough to trigger a qualitative change.
He nodded in satisfaction. No wonder, it's all because of me.
"Uh, really?" Pirate Luk furrowed his brow, feeling around, and sucked in a breath.
Good grief, it was true.
"Physical strength has improved, and my willpower has broken through its limits."
"Breathing techniques are now second nature."
"Proficiency in Haki, Golden Light Charm, and Shunpo has increased significantly, and you’ve even developed a Super Charged Mode?"
"Also..." Shinigami Luk paused, "You’ve got a good grasp of Garp’s Iron Fist techniques?"
It seemed that the last punch Garp delivered had triggered a counter, and his body had subconsciously used the same techniques. Garp had deliberately slowed down and clearly demonstrated each step.
Shinigami Luk walked excitedly back and forth, muttering, "Was that really Garp? Are you sure it wasn’t Kaido?"
This level of teaching far surpassed the likes of Zephyr and Rayleigh, who often misled their students. Only a master teacher like Kaido, who had trained one of the Four Emperors, could compare.
As Death Luk gradually revealed the rewards from his battle, Pirate Luk's agitation slowly subsided, a bit surprised.
"Getting so much from a fight, so Garp was really guiding me?"
"Seems like it." Death Luk happily shook Pirate Luk's hand, his eyes filled with affection. "How about you take another beating? I think Garp's teaching skills are on par with Kaido's."
"Sure, you take another beating, and then add the bonuses from the rest of us. Punching the Four Emperors and kicking the Admirals, even a 1v1 with Whitebeard wouldn't be a problem."
Pirate Luk: "......"
Are you speaking human language?
Since you're not the one getting beaten, you're just dancing around?
Why don't you challenge Aizen?
Moreover, he felt that this battle had squeezed almost everything out of him. To further improve, he would either need to practice diligently over time or wait for new Loks to join.
Pirate Luk's mood was a bit irritated. He still couldn't fully accept Garp's teaching methods, but since he had gained so much from it, he couldn't really blame him.
For now, he wouldn't dwell on it, after all, Loks were all very magnanimous...
He would wait for a few more Loks to join and then settle the score!
Revenge is a dish best served by ten Loks!
Once he gathered the power of ten Loks, he would give Garp an extreme guidance lesson!
It's never too old to learn; don't think that just because you're old, you don't need to improve. Standing still will only make you a stepping stone for younglings like Koby!
Additionally, he had four new goals.
First, to become the leader of the Revolutionary Army.
Second, to beat up the entire Whitebeard Pirate Crew.
Third, to become the Pirate King.
Lastly, to bring down the Marine and World Government!
It wasn't personal against Garp; he just felt that his past self had lived too carefree and wanted to add some challenges to his life.
He, Luk, was not like a certain Supreme Mage who loved tridents; he was never a petty person!
Meanwhile, Death Luk was basking in the surge of power within him. "I feel like my Bankai of the Return has advanced a step. Now, if I graduate and join the Gotei 13, I might be able to compete for a vice-captain position."
"Oh? You want to graduate?"
"Of course not. Aizen is still around. Apart from the Head Captain and a few other captains, even regular captains are mere ants in his eyes. I'll keep mixing with the students until I reach captain level."
He stretched lazily. "Your breakthrough seems to have elevated your soul as well. I should also learn some advanced Kido techniques. This time, you didn't have much in terms of offensive means against Garp."
"Our people are naturally tough-skinned, okay?" Pirate Luk rolled his eyes. "Especially someone like Garp, a master of physical combat. Without the skills of a Great Swordsman and a significant amount of Haki, breaking his defense is practically a pipe dream."
"Damn, Garp taught you his Iron Fist, so why are you still fixating on that broken sword technique? I beg you, give up swordsmanship and focus on physical combat. Is physical combat not good enough?"
He was exasperated by Pirate Luk's persistence. Clearly, physical combat had progressed to the point where he could spar with Garp, yet he still wanted to develop a sword technique that even Great Swordsmen hadn't fully mastered.
It was like ignoring a blonde with blue eyes who was throwing herself at you and stubbornly pursuing a classical beauty who dangled a carrot in front of you but never let you taste the real thing.
Not that the latter was bad, but when the former was practically begging for your attention, why refuse?
Just as he was speaking, the figure of Unique Luk appeared, yawning as if he was a bit tired. He walked up to Pirate Luk.
"I finished watching the Alabasta arc of One Piece. I'll share it one last time, and then I won't be online for a few days."
"Why?" Pirate Luk asked, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"The Heavenly Festival is about to start... Holy crap! You leveled up so fast?"
