Chapter 3: The Ninja World Has Been Corroded by Evil
Uchiha Iizumi’s voice thundered like a storm in Izumi’s ear.
She drew in a deep breath, the air thickening with the scent of blood.
As she slowly rose to her feet, the faint, fading whimpers of the small man at her side still echoed—each breath a ragged plea.
“I’ve told you everything… please, save me… I beg you… I don’t want to die…”
Izumi tightened her lips.
For a rookie genin barely a month out of the Academy, the weight of this moment—this raw, unfiltered horror—was overwhelming.
“Where’s your home?”
Knowing the man had murdered his daughter, Izumi felt no pity. No empathy. Only cold necessity. She pressed for his address, desperate to find the child’s body.
When she finally caught the faint whisper of a name—just barely audible—the address was clear.
Summoning courage, she turned to Uchiha Iizumi.
“Senior… should we split up? I’ll take him to Leaf Village Hospital, and you… you can go search for the child’s body?”
Uchiha Iizumi’s tone was calm, almost indifferent.
“Newcomer… do you know what punishment awaits a man who kills drunk in Leaf Village?”
Izumi froze.
“L… life imprisonment?!”
Iizumi shook his head.
“No. Ten years in prison. After that, the man walks free under the sun again. And if he behaves well—maybe just seven or eight years. He could be released early.”
He paused, eyes sharp.
“Tell me… is that a fair punishment?”
Izumi hesitated, her voice barely a whisper.
“Ten years… it’s too short. No matter how you look at it, it doesn’t feel like justice.”
Twelve years old. A young Uchiha genin. Her moral compass—though still fragile—already recoiled at the idea.
Was the cost of murder in Leaf Village really so low?
Or… was drunken homicide forgiven?
“Justice that isn’t absolute never truly exists. And evil? It never truly pays.”
Uchiha Iizumi’s words cut through the silence.
“No need to split up. No need to take him to the hospital. Bring him straight to the address he gave.”
He took back the blood-stained kunai from Izumi’s hand, slid it into its sheath with a quiet shink, and added:
“Remember—use the drag motion. You’ll drag this filth behind me.”
Izumi’s face paled.
Pool Spring Senior… in the Uchiha Clan, she must be one of the most extreme.
She swallowed hard, her eyes darting to the wounded man.
Drag him?
Gah…
The pressure crushed her.
Under the gazes of civilians—some fearful, some stunned—and fellow ninja, she clenched her teeth. Her fingers gripped the back of the man’s collar, hauling him forward with every ounce of strength.
His shattered leg scraped across the ground, blood smeared in a long, jagged line. He screamed—raw, terrified, writhing in agony.
Izumi’s heart ached.
But then she glanced at Iizumi’s rigid, unwavering back. Remembered her hesitation during the interrogation—the coldness in his eyes as he watched her falter.
She forced her resolve.
She didn’t dare look back.
Instead, she imagined the crimson trail behind her—the blood painting the streets like a confession.
The man’s struggles grew weaker.
The cries faded.
Then—silence.
Izumi gasped, whirling around.
“Pool Spring Senior! He’s… he’s passed out!”
Iizumi paused, not turning.
“Can you wake him?”
“I’ll check…”
She leaned in, fingers trembling as she felt for a breath.
Her heart dropped.
“H-He’s… too late. He’s… dead.”
Iizumi exhaled, almost regretfully.
“Too bad.”
Izumi’s breath caught.
Then came the next words—cold, deliberate.
“I should’ve let him suffer longer. Death was too kind. My plan was for you to drag him to his home. Find the child’s body. Then… execute him in front of her remains.”
He turned slightly, his Sharingan glinting in the dim light.
“And I was going to let you do it.”
Izumi froze.
“S-Senior… I…” She stammered, voice trembling.
“I’ve read the Police Force’s Code of Conduct. It says—once a criminal is apprehended, no private punishment is allowed. That’s a rule added by the Hokage himself.”
Iizumi’s gaze narrowed.
“Newcomer… do you think the Third Hokage—on his lofty throne—represents Justice?”
Izumi said nothing.
Iizumi stared at the girl—only half-Uchiha, still raw with innocence.
“To be a true member of the Police Force, you must first understand who Justice’s enemy is. Every evil in the Ninja World… is Justice’s enemy.”
He took a step forward, voice low but unwavering.
“The Ninja World is already riddled with evil—so rotten, so broken. The only way to fix it is through absolute, unrelenting justice.”
…Including the Hokage?
The thought burned in Izumi’s mind. But she dared not speak it.
Then—
“I said it.”
Iizumi’s words rang out, as if reading her mind.
Izumi staggered, heart pounding.
…
She didn’t know that, in the very moment the man slipped into death from blood loss, a notification flashed before Uchiha Iizumi’s eyes.

This was the God Gift he’d awakened the moment he arrived in Leaf Village.
It allowed him to see the evil in every person—past sins, future crimes.
Those who had committed unforgivable acts bore a crimson square above their heads—[Red Mark].
Those who would commit such acts in the future wore a white square—[White Mark].
Kill them—
And not only would his chakra grow stronger, but he could steal their techniques, bloodline abilities, skills, and even mastery points.
The God Gift perfectly aligned with Iizumi’s creed: Absolute Justice.
In just a few short years, he’d stained his hands with countless evils.
His blade had dulled from use—replaced, sharpened, worn down again.
And the Molten Release in his profile? A gift from the God Gift’s starter package.
The system described it as:
“A greeting from the faithful of Absolute Justice, born from the depths of the sea.”
