Chapter 292: Return to Reality
Chapter 292: Return to Reality
Indeed, Obito Uchiha and Black Zetsu had fled.
Initially, they were eagerly anticipating the upcoming battle between the Jinchuriki of the Ten-Tails.
However, the two had no idea what this world's "Feathered Moon" had said to suddenly extract the Ten-Tails from his body and transfer it to the real Feathered Moon, making him the complete Jinchuriki of the Ten-Tails.
"What the hell is he doing?!?"
Obito Uchiha had previously witnessed firsthand the power and might of "Feathered Moon."
He had gone to great lengths to assist him, expecting to be amazed by the other's strength.
Now, however, he was faced not with amazement but sheer terror—the kind that could lead to his demise.
Obito Uchiha felt that all his efforts had been misplaced.
"There's no point in saying more now. Let's get out of here!" Black Zetsu, with his vast experience, hastily reminded.
Feathered Moon was already formidable, and now that he had merged with the complete Ten-Tails, even if it was a stripped-down version, their chances of resistance were slim to none.
It was high time to flee!
Obito Uchiha needed no further urging. He immediately snapped out of his daze and made a run for it with Black Zetsu in tow.
Feathered Moon, upon receiving the reminder, glanced back and then retracted his gaze, unconcerned.
At that moment, "Feathered Moon" added, "Obito Uchiha can be killed, but Black Zetsu might be a challenge."
Feathered Moon nodded in understanding.
Black Zetsu, as a byproduct of the Six Paths and having lived for a millennium, had instigated countless disputes between the Ashura and Indra reincarnates. His survival instincts and escape expertise were unparalleled, given his long and chaotic existence.
Thus, Feathered Moon's primary target remained Obito Uchiha.
He turned his gaze towards the other him, whose aura was weakening by the second yet who stubbornly remained standing tall, refusing to fall.
Knowing that the other didn't need his pity or sympathy, Feathered Moon finally nodded in farewell, saying, "Goodbye."
"Goodbye?"
"Feathered Moon" shook his head with a soft laugh, not elaborating further. He continued to stare at the sky, his eyes filled with memories.
Feathered Moon didn't disturb him any further.
With a slight movement of his body, he floated in the air and sped off in the direction of Obito Uchiha and Black Zetsu's escape.
Obito Uchiha kept a constant watch on what was happening behind him.
Soon, he noticed Feathered Moon approaching at a speed far beyond his imagination, and his expression changed.
"It's time to end the limited Tsukuyomi!" Black Zetsu exclaimed upon witnessing the same scene, "If we stay any longer in this world, we'll not only have to deal with Feathered Moon as the Jinchuriki of the Ten-Tails but also his influence, which spans the entire ninja world. The pressure here is far greater than in the real world."
Sensing the unabashed killing intent from behind and realizing that Feathered Moon wasn't immersed in this world and that he had exhausted all other options, Obito Uchiha gritted his teeth.
Understanding that his plan had utterly failed and that staying any longer would likely result in his demise, he wasted no time. He quickly formed hand seals with both hands, unsealing the limited Tsukuyomi.
In an instant, Obito Uchiha's body was enveloped in white light.
And he wasn't alone.
Black Zetsu, by his side, and Feathered Moon, in the distance, were also bathed in the same white radiance.
As their bodies became more and more ethereal under the white light, Feathered Moon halted his pursuit and stood still.
He surveyed this world that he had crafted to his liking and, in the remaining time, turned his attention to the Land of Feathers.
At that moment, Harem was savoring the aftertaste of a large bag of ice pops while enthusiastically reading the biography of "Brother Xuan Yue," written by his sister from the mountains.
The shadow clone of Yuyi Xuan Yue looked deeply at the girl before him, slowly stood up, and said to her, "I'm going out to take care of something. Take good care of yourself from now on. Don't just eat ice pops, make sure to eat nutritious food too, or you won't grow tall, understand?"
"Yes!"
Thinking that Brother Xuan Yue was just going out for a while as usual, Qin gave him a bright smile, then lowered her head again, continuing to read with the enthusiasm of someone who had discovered a new world.
So Brother Xuan Yue had so many unknown stories! And her sister from the mountains knew all about them!
No good!
I have to surpass her!
Qin buried herself in her book.
Yuyi Xuan Yue didn't disturb the girl any further.
He patted her head gently, imprinting her smile in his memory, then turned to leave.
Just as he crossed the threshold, Qin's voice rang out from behind him again.
"Brother Xuan Yue, you'll come back, right?"
For some reason, Qin suddenly felt a twinge of sadness.
She quickly lifted her small face, her hands holding the book, and her big eyes shining as she unconsciously called out to Yuyi Xuan Yue's departing figure.
Yuyi Xuan Yue paused, intending to say "yes," but the word stuck in his throat.
He could only silently nod his head without turning around, then continued on his way, disappearing from Qin's line of sight.
Bang! A puff of white smoke rose.
Far away, the real Yuyi Xuan Yue sighed as he received the memories transmitted by his shadow clone.
In the moment before his body dissipated into white light, he took one last look at this world, feeling a premonition that perhaps they would meet again in the future.
He hoped so.
With these thoughts, Yuyi Xuan Yue completely transformed into white light and left the limited Tsukuyomi world.
Just like when he was first affected by the limited Tsukuyomi technique, Yuyi Xuan Yue's vision was once again enveloped in white light.
He didn't know how much time had passed.
When his sight finally returned to normal, he scanned his surroundings and found himself still standing in the same spot, with the seven-tailed Gedo Mazo statue behind him.
Nothing had changed; it was as if only a second had passed in the real world.
Indeed, it had been barely a minute, Yuyi Xuan Yue confirmed.
The several days he had spent in the limited Tsukuyomi world amounted to less than a minute in reality.
Yuyi Xuan Yue then examined the Six Paths robe that had appeared on him, which was now gradually fading away, and the Ten-Tails within him.
"An illusion, after all?"
Yuyi Xuan Yue didn't waste any effort on these things.
Soon, both the Six Paths robe and the Ten-Tails within him vanished into nothingness.
Everything returned to the way it was before.
The only thing he kept was the profound memory embedded in his mind.
"Six Paths: Yin-Yang Release, Life and Death, and the Underworld."
Yuyi Xuan Yue's mind raced with countless thoughts.
But it was only for a moment.
With a determined heart, he raised his head, his gaze piercing through the thick stone walls as he looked towards the distance.
"Trying to escape?"
Sensing that Obito Uchiha was not far away, Yuyi Xuan Yue, who was currently fleeing, smiled coldly. Without haste, he took out the container holding Obito's Mangekyo Sharingan.
After a simple Eye Technique, Yuyi Xuan Yue removed the Rinnegan from his left eye socket and replaced it with the Mangekyo Sharingan.
With the left eye now blood-red with a black shuriken-like tomoe and the right eye a purple whirlpool, Yuyi Xuan Yue quickly adapted to the change. With a single step, he pursued Obito Uchiha at full speed.
It was time to swat this annoying fly buzzing in his ear.
