Chapter 292: A Peculiar Experience
Chapter 292: A Peculiar Experience
Filch's office was located on the first floor near the entrance hall, precisely beneath an empty classroom on the left corridor of the library.
Kyle made his way to the second floor, running along the corridor towards that location.
However, as he passed by the library entrance, he suddenly felt a moment of disorientation.
Vaguely, his mind abruptly recalled the words Voldemort had spoken to him in the underground classroom last year.
Specifically, the part about the Horcrux creation process...
Previously, Kyle had refrained from researching it due to uncertainty about Voldemort's intentions, but now he felt a sudden clarity.
The once abstruse and esoteric knowledge suddenly became simple and understandable, as if he had been studying it for decades. He could easily comprehend the reasons behind each step and the principles involved.
"This feeling is incredible," Kyle thought.
Even the Ravenclaw's Crown couldn't compare to this.
The knowledge in his mind gradually arranged itself into a parchment filled with illustrations and text.
"Regarding the Horcrux creation process..."
Each illustration was clear, and every word was detailed. With just a glance, he could master the art of Horcrux creation...
But at that moment—
"Bang!"
Something seemed to have been smashed violently onto the ground.
With a loud crash, Kyle was abruptly jolted awake, and the knowledge he had just acquired vanished from his mind, leaving no trace.
No matter how hard Kyle tried to recall it, it was as if time had reversed, and those thoughts had never existed.
Then, a water-filled balloon smashed onto his head.
The balloon burst, drenching Kyle with a large splash of cold water.
He shuddered instinctively, and his mind instantly became clearer.
"What are you daydreaming about, you little rascal, Kyle?"
Peeves flew past him, "Hurry, that big idiot Filch is coming!"
After saying this, he disappeared down the corridor.
Then, Filch appeared.
He glanced at Kyle, who was soaked from head to toe, with water still dripping from his hair, and quickly noticed the balloon fragments on the ground...
"Was this Peeves' doing?"
Kyle nodded.
"Which way did he go?"
Kyle pointed in the direction...
In fact, Filch didn't even need to ask. Peeves was still throwing balloons at the surrounding portraits as he left, and water stains were everywhere along his path.
Filch was furious. He didn't bother with Kyle and angrily chased after Peeves...
"Peeves! I will catch you today and kick you out!"
Kyle watched him leave and turned to look at the library door, feeling perplexed.
What had just happened? Was it a coincidence or some special circumstance?
Could this situation occur again, and if so, what were the conditions to trigger it?
It couldn't be just passing by the library... Kyle frowned and took a few steps back.
A few minutes later, when Harry left Filch's office and went upstairs, he witnessed this peculiar scene.
Kyle seemed to be lost at the library entrance, pacing back and forth... sometimes walking, sometimes running, and sometimes even running and jumping.
It was quite bizarre and somewhat eerie.
"Kyle," Harry called out instinctively, "what are you doing?"
"Hmm..."
Kyle suddenly stopped and turned around. "Oh, I was waiting for you, and I wanted to get some exercise."
"Exercise?"
"Yes," Kyle said calmly. "A special training method for Chasers. It's normal for you not to know, since you're a Seeker."
"By the way, how are you doing? Did Filch give you a hard time?"
At this, Harry suddenly became more excited.
"No, he just let me go!"
Escaping from Filch's office without punishment was probably a new record.
"Then you should thank Sir Nearly Headless Nick." Kyle said with a smile.
As they spoke, Nearly Headless Nick appeared from a classroom, and behind him, a golden and black cabinet crashed to the ground.
"I persuaded Peeves to smash it onto Filch's office roof," he said.

"It was you!" Harry said gratefully. "Ah, that was timely. I wasn't even given detention, thank you, Nick!"
Kyle also noticed the cabinet.
He walked into the classroom, examining the golden patterns on it.
"What's wrong, Kyle?" Harry followed, asking curiously, "Is there something wrong with this cabinet?"
"This is an Invisibility Cabinet," Kyle said, looking at the golden runes.
"An Invisibility Cabinet?"
"Yes, a precious alchemical item."
"But it didn't disappear," Harry blinked, "it's right here..."
"You misunderstood," Kyle explained. "The meaning of an Invisibility Cabinet is that the items placed inside will appear in another cabinet, as if they vanished into thin air."
Harry examined the cabinet, and the more he looked, the more familiar it seemed.
"I think I've seen one like this before... Oh, that's right, it was in Knockturn Alley at that Dark Magic shop. They had an identical cabinet there."
Harry suddenly closed his mouth and cautiously glanced to the side.
Nearly Headless Nick floated over, seemingly suddenly taking a great interest in the wall.
Harry breathed a sigh of relief and continued, "Do you remember when I used the fireplace and ended up in Knockturn Alley by mistake? I stumbled into a shop there and met Malfoy and his father."
"Borgin and Burkes?"
"That's right," Harry said. "I hid in that cabinet, which is why they didn't find me... But I didn't disappear, Kyle. You must be mistaken."
"Did you close the cabinet door?" Kyle asked.
"I did," Harry thought for a moment.
At first, he left a gap, but later, when Malfoy tried to touch something and was stopped by his father, he bumped into the door, closing the gap.
"Then the cabinet must be faulty."
Kyle shook his head. "One of these, or the one in Borgin and Burkes, is definitely broken.
I've seen Invisibility Cabinets in Paris; I can't be mistaken."
"Oh, is that so?"
Nearly Headless Nick floated over from the side, "The Supply Closet contains damaged items.
This cabinet has been here for a long time, probably about fifty years ago, when Dumbledore placed it here.
He had just received the Order of Merlin, First Class, and the castle was bustling with activity."
