Chapter 29: I Hate Fighting the Most
Chapter 29: I Hate Fighting the Most
"No problem, I actually enjoy making friends!"
Jerry didn't refuse.
Since he had already decided to go to Gryffindor, it seemed like a good idea to get to know Harry in advance.
After all, as Dumbledore's chosen savior, Harry was the most favored student at Hogwarts. Building a good relationship with him would definitely earn him points with Dumbledore.
Moreover, Hogwarts only admitted a limited number of students each year, and with four houses, the number was even smaller. There was a good chance that he might end up in the same dormitory as Harry.
"Come on, he's in the next carriage!"
Hermione pulled Jerry and Neville and hurried towards the carriage behind them.
However, as they approached the compartment where Harry was, just as they were about to open the door, they heard the sound of an argument inside.
"You should be more polite, or you'll end up like your parents. They didn't know any better. If you hang around with people like the Weasley family or Hagrid, you'll be influenced by them."
"Say that again."
"Oh, so you want to fight, do you?"
Hermione, who was leading the way, pulled open the door. Jerry peered inside and saw that there were not just the two boys Hermione had mentioned, but five boys standing in a tense standoff.
One of them, standing by the seat, had black hair, green eyes, and a lightning bolt scar on his forehead. That was clearly Harry.
Next to Harry stood a boy with the Weasley family's distinctive red hair and blue eyes. It had to be Ron.
Turning to look at the three boys opposite them, Jerry's face showed a fleeting look of confusion.
A boy with light blond hair and a pale, oval face, flanked by two bulky, muscular lackeys, this combination seemed eerily like the Malfoy trio, Harry's arch-rivals.
But he didn't remember the Malfoy trio causing trouble for Harry and Ron on the train in the movies!
What was going on?
Was it because he had forgotten, or had his presence caused a butterfly effect, or was there some other reason he was unaware of?
"What are you doing? Are you going to fight? You're causing trouble before you even get to school!"
Hermione, who was leading the group, looked at the scene inside the compartment and her face turned serious.
"Three more helpers, do you think numbers will help you?"
Seeing Jerry, Hermione, and Neville at the door, Malfoy's calm demeanor changed. He took a step back, placing the bulky Goyle and Crabbe in front of him.
Goyle and Crabbe, clearly not taking the shorter newcomers seriously, stepped forward menacingly. One blocked Harry and Ron, while the other blocked Hermione, Jerry, and Neville.
Seeing the towering Crabbe at the door, Hermione instinctively tensed up. Jerry, noticing this, set aside his confusion and pulled Hermione behind him.
"We don't want to fight, but this doesn't seem to be your compartment!"
"That's right, you're not welcome here. Please leave!"
On the other side, Harry, though intimidated by Goyle's size, bravely responded to Jerry's words.
"But we don't want to leave, do we, Goyle, Crabbe? We've finished all our snacks, and it looks like you have plenty left. We'll leave after we've eaten!"
Standing in the middle of the compartment, Draco Malfoy pointed at the various snacks scattered on the table and gave Goyle and Crabbe a meaningful look.
Goyle immediately understood and, with his left hand, shoved the skinny Harry aside, while his right hand greedily reached for the snacks on the table.
Crabbe, on the other hand, raised both hands and pushed hard against Jerry, who was standing by the door, seemingly trying to knock Jerry and the others behind him, Hermione and Neville, to the ground.
"Ah!"
"Ah!"
Two cries of pain echoed in the compartment, but they didn't come from Harry and Jerry; they came from Goyle and Crabbe.
It turned out that as Goyle reached for the snacks, Ron's pet Scabbers, hidden among them, saw his opportunity and bit Goyle's fingers.
On the other side, Jerry, seeing Crabbe push him, gave a cold smile and also raised his hands. He wasn't trying to match the strength of the tall and muscular Crabbe, but rather interlocked his fingers with Crabbe's. When Crabbe was momentarily stunned, Jerry suddenly exerted force at the wrist, forcing Crabbe to kneel on the ground.
With all ten fingers connected, Crabbe felt intense pain from Jerry's strong pressure, causing tears to stream down his face.
Wizards' bodies were different from ordinary humans; losing an arm or a leg wasn't a big deal. So Jerry hadn't held back, which is why he managed to make Crabbe cry.
"Don't be in such a hurry to leave before we've finished talking!"
Seeing Goyle and Draco Malfoy trying to escape in a panic after shaking off Scabbers, Jerry gave a cold laugh. He first tripped Goyle with his right foot and pinned him to the ground, then used one hand to apply the golden-thread wrist lock, instantly restraining Draco Malfoy.
Thus, the compartment presented a rather dramatic scene.
Jerry's left hand was interlocked with Crabbe's, forcing him to kneel and cry in pain, while his right hand twisted Draco Malfoy's arm behind his back, pressing him down so he couldn't get up. Jerry's foot was also on Goyle, who had lost a tooth and was holding his bitten finger, wailing in pain.
The scene was incredibly intense!
The reactions of the other four made it clear.
Harry and Ron, who had retrieved Scabbers, both swallowed hard. Hermione and Neville, standing in the aisle, had their mouths open and their eyes wide.
Among them, Hermione was the most surprised.
She had spent the most time with Jerry, and in her eyes, he had always been a very gentlemanly, polite, and gentle boy. He had always addressed her as "Ms. Granger" unless she specifically asked otherwise.
"Jerry, could you let them go? They look really in pain!"
Hermione, seeing the three of them crying, cautiously suggested.
"Oh? Really? I'm sorry, I didn't realize I was being too rough. I really don't like fighting, but it was hard to control myself just now."
Jerry, hearing Hermione's suggestion, didn't refuse. Instead, he smiled and explained to Draco Malfoy and the others before slowly releasing his hold.
Unfortunately, upon hearing Jerry's explanation and seeing his smile, Draco Malfoy and the others shivered in fear and retreated to the corner by the compartment door.
