Chapter 29: A Brief Recap
Chapter 29: A Brief Recap
"Due to expending a significant amount of soul power earlier, I only managed to unblock your sister's limbs and ribs. For now, this should suffice. Teacher should be aware of the soul power trajectory, so you only need to guide her a little when the time comes."
Wang Si glanced at Hu Liena and then at Bibi Dong, offering his suggestion.
Bibi Dong merely nodded lightly, then turned her gaze to Hu Liena, who was stumbling in her steps and trembling all over.
"Nana, this guy didn't do anything strange to you while you were unconscious, did he?"
Hearing her teacher's words, Hu Liena was taken aback, and her heart filled with apprehension. Did her teacher not notice what happened on her side yesterday? Feeling anxious, Hu Liena quickly checked her current condition.
Fortunately, aside from a tingling sensation in her bones, there didn't seem to be any other issues.
Hu Liena breathed a sigh of relief, but Bibi Dong revealed a meaningful smile.
Kid, now that I know you think I won't pay attention to Nana's situation, will you behave next time, or will you still be unable to keep your hands to yourself?
As they were about to leave, Bibi Dong suddenly turned around, remembering something. She walked up to Wang Si, crouched down, and patted his shoulder gently.
"It's obvious that you're very displeased with me, but because you're my student, I'll let it slide. If you have the ability to take revenge in the future, come at me directly, but if you dare to lay a hand on the people around me, I'll test just how hard these bones of yours truly are."
There was a dangerous edge to Bibi Dong's voice, barely containing the killing intent within.
"I have the utmost respect for you, Teacher. As for being displeased and targeting the people around you, how could I possibly do such a thing?"
Wang Si's eyes, as he looked at Bibi Dong, were filled with sincerity.
Bibi Dong stared into Wang Si's eyes and patted his shoulder.
"Your facial expression is spot on, but your eyes still give you away, kid. You still have a lot to learn."
Bibi Dong patted Wang Si's shoulder again and then turned to leave his house.
Once outside, she grabbed Hu Liena, placed her on her back, and disappeared into the shadows.
With Bibi Dong's departure, Wang Si finally let out a sigh of relief.
Glancing at the sky that was beginning to lighten with the dawn, Wang Si yawned.
Even though daybreak was near, he could still catch some rest.
Returning to his bedroom, he looked at the pitch-black room and made his way back to the bed, a path he knew like the back of his hand.
He pulled QIAN Renxue into his embrace.
As expected, when he pulled QIAN Renxue into his arms, she squirmed anxiously a couple of times.
"Is it that you don't want to see her, or that you're afraid to?"
Wang Si whispered into QIAN Renxue's ear.
QIAN Renxue merely squirmed uneasily but didn't give an answer.
"It doesn't matter if you don't want to see her or if you're afraid to. She probably knows you're pretending to be asleep, but the fact that she didn't expose you means she's not ready yet."
QIAN Renxue nodded slightly.
"You've been tense all night, so you must be exhausted. Here, take a sleeping pill and get some proper rest."
Holding QIAN Renxue in his arms, Wang Si took out a pill from the bottle that Bibi Dong had given him and placed it by her mouth. Since Bibi Dong trusted this medication enough to let Hu Liena take it, it should be harmless.
QIAN Renxue didn't hesitate and swallowed the pill that Wang Si offered.
The drug was potent, and QIAN Renxue, who had been on edge all night, fell asleep almost instantly.
Feeling the even breathing in his arms, Wang Si's heart also settled into a long-awaited calm.
He summoned his game panel and checked on his current physical condition.
Currently, his body could withstand eight hundred years' worth of soul rings, which meant his physical strength had already surpassed that of many 20th-level Soul Masters who hadn't broken through their limits.
This was thanks to QIAN Daolu, who had helped him complete the cultivation of the Hundred Refinements of the Bone in advance.
His soul power was still at the 11th level, as most of his cultivation had gone into increasing the age of his soul rings.
The passive effect of his first soul skill was that with every level increase, his physical attributes would permanently rise by a certain percentage.
It wasn't that this small increment was significant, but Wang Si had a bit of obsessive-compulsive behavior. With his soul ring just two hundred years shy of the millennium mark, he felt compelled to push forward.
As long as he strengthened his body a bit more and continued to cultivate diligently, he would reach his goal.
Closing the panel, Wang Si began to seriously reflect on his current position. After all, he now had multiple identities, and it was time to straighten them out.
First and foremost, he was a highly selfish individual. If faced with life-threatening danger, he would unquestionably abandon all scruples to survive.
Beyond this selfish core, he was undeniably a part of the Spirit Hall, primarily due to a certain peerless Level 99 Douluo, Bi Bi Dong, who held sway over him.
If someone more formidable than Qian Daolu appeared in the future, Wang Si's bottom line could be pushed even further.
Within the Spirit Hall, there were also various factions. First were those loyal to the Spirit Hall itself, currently represented by Bi Bi Dong's faction.
The members of this faction were not concerned with who their superior was; they were bound to the Spirit Hall by their shared interests, much like the Ghost Douluo and the Chrysanthemum Douluo.
Then there was the faction of the Douluo Hall. Undoubtedly, these individuals formed the backbone of the Spirit Hall.
Initially, their relationship with the Spirit Hall might have been based on mutual benefit, but as time passed, the bond between these Venerables and the Spirit Hall evolved beyond a simple transactional relationship to one of shared fate.
Although Wang Si didn't understand why Qian Daolu had entrusted his granddaughter to him, there was no doubt that he and Qian Daolu now belonged to the same camp.
If the Spirit Hall ever faced an existential crisis, Wang Si would be among those who had to step up.
After clarifying this point, Wang Si's goals became clearer.
Bi Bi Dong had ambitions and a desire for revenge, aiming to establish a Spirit Empire, but that had nothing to do with him.
His sole objective was to help the Spirit Hall eliminate potential threats, such as someone who might overthrow the Spirit Hall in the future!
Aside from that individual, Wang Si believed that the most significant threat to the Spirit Hall was Bi Bi Dong herself, who had inherited the Asura God position but was emotionally unstable and held the most significant authority in the Spirit Hall.
If she ever lost control in the future and he had the ability to restrain her, he would need to take action.
In addition to being a part of the Spirit Hall, Wang Si was also loyal to Qian Renxue.
For now, his priority was to ensure Qian Renxue's happiness and give her a carefree and joyful childhood.
On top of that, he had his own desires...
......
With the help of the medication provided by Bi Bi Dong, Wang Si finally succeeded in unblocking all of Qian Renxue's bones after busy nights.
It was also after that day that he became busier, as more people sought his help.
The first wave of clients came through Xue Qinghe's introductions, young people who needed assistance in unblocking their bones.
Many of them were young descendants of royal families and high-ranking officials, individuals that Xue Qinghe had easier access to.
During this period, Wang Si also got to know several children of royalty, and as expected, most of them were female.
Among them, he had interacted with Tang Yuehua, an older acquaintance, and Qian Renxue, the youngest. He had little interest in the others unless they had a unique identity to offer.
After dealing with these individuals, Wang Si, during his "rest" break, also helped members of the Spirit Hall unblock their bones.
Since they only wanted their limbs unblocked, it didn't take up too much of his time.
After tending to the Spirit Hall members, the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect also brought him quite a few customers, keeping him occupied for a long while.
As Wang Si busied himself with his commitments, Qian Renxue didn't idle away her time.
Since "Xue Ya" was now with Wang Si, she couldn't frequently observe Xue Qinghe.
However, being the youngest graduate of the Moon Manor, Qian Renxue could still gather plenty of information about Xue Qinghe.
In between her tasks, Qian Renxue also received abundant maternal love from Tang Yuehua.
But as they say, happiness is fleeting.
In the blink of an eye, three months had passed since Wang Si arrived in Tiandou City, which meant:
The Royal Academy was about to open...
