Chapter 287: What's Next?
Chapter 287: What's Next?
Stepping out of Tina’s house and onto the street, Su Yu suddenly felt a bit lost.
With the main storyline now wrapped up, what should he do next?
“Maybe I should go back to my territory and continue training with materials?” he thought to himself.
But just then, he heard the familiar “ding” of a private message notification in the game.
Opening the private message interface, he saw that it was from Snow Leopard, with two messages.
Snow Leopard: “Rival, how much did you get from the mission rewards this time?”
Snow Leopard: “It’s not that I’m asking, but Old Meng asked me to. In his own words, he wants to ‘acknowledge the gap.’”
Su Yu: “[Black Question Mark Emoji] What? The rewards have been settled?”
Snow Leopard: “Yeah, didn’t you get yours?”
Su Yu: “Uh, not really.”
He glanced at his quest log.
The 75th quest of the Golden Fleece Empire was still marked as incomplete. He’d have to wait until he saw Alyssa again to officially receive his reward.
Snow Leopard: “If you haven’t settled yet, that’s fine. Just let Old Meng and the others know when you do, so they can be envious.”
Su Yu: “Sure thing.”
Snow Leopard: “Also, you must have earned a lot of military credits from this campaign, right? Remember to exchange them soon. They’ll expire automatically in 7 days if you don’t use them.”
Su Yu: “Got it.”
Ending the private chat, Su Yu summoned Tima and continued down the street.
Snow Leopard’s reminder made him realize he still had a good amount of military credits to exchange.
According to the military credit exchange list posted on the forum, the quartermaster had nothing that could directly enhance his personal strength. However, he could still exchange for high-value items to boost the overall strength of humanity.
The journey was a bit boring, and while Tima was very intelligent, she couldn’t engage in conversation. So, Su Yu opened the guild chat to chat with the guild members and pass the time.
His guild currently maintained a membership of around 2000, without excessive expansion.
Under the leadership of Winged Divine Dragon, the guild members were responsible for managing and operating the entire Apshi City, with each member overseeing a specific area.
In their free time, the guild members, like other players, would take on quests and level up in the wild zones.
However, due to their limited time for leveling, their levels lagged behind other players. But they had money!
The salary Su Yu provided was always very generous, now increased to 8 Psychic Coins per hour. Working 8 hours a day, they could earn 64 Psychic Coins, more than double the daily income of a level 20 player!
With such generous pay, their equipment was significantly better than that of players at the same level, making their leveling process more efficient.
Most guild members had participated in the main storyline, and they were now discussing the mission rewards in the guild chat.
Neon Nuclear Wastewater: “Haha, I’m rich! This mission gave me 10,800 experience points, a green skill book, and a blue 21st-level bow! [Azure Wave Piercing Bow (Rare)] (Click to view stats).”
Cooking Plum Wine: “What? Over 10,000 experience? I only got 5,000, and the equipment was green.”
Neon Nuclear Wastewater: “Haha, maybe I contributed more.”
Cat Sauce’s Husband: “Jealous.”
Double-Section Stick Raccoon: “Same here.”
Su Yu: “Jealous too. I haven’t received any rewards yet.”

Neon Nuclear Waste: "..."
Neon Mutant Human: "..."
Nunchaku Fox: "..."
Before long, a flurry of ellipses flooded the guild channel.
Neon Nuclear Waste: "[Old Man, Subway, Phone Emoji] Mr. Ke, can you please stop messing around? Your Legendary Decor image is still up on the official forum!"
Neon Average Godzilla: "Exactly, you already have three Legendary Decor items. Do you really care about our measly rewards?"
Su Yu: "Haha, just joking around. But I really haven't received the mission rewards yet."
Su Yu: "I'm almost at the Quartermaster now, planning to exchange all my military credits for physical items. Anyone need something but short on credits? I can exchange it for you and trade it with Psychic Coins."
Neon Nuclear Waste: "Mr. Ke, you're at the Quartermaster? Didn't you see the guild channel earlier?"
Su Yu: "No, what's going on?"
Neon Nuclear Waste: "[Cry-laugh Emoji] Never mind, you'll understand once you get there."
Su Yu: "..."
By the time Su Yu reached the armory area, the Quartermaster was just a short distance ahead.
But as he approached, Su Yu immediately understood what Neon Nuclear Waste meant.
The area in front of the armory was packed with people, a sea of black heads. The Quartermaster himself was completely swallowed by the crowd.
At least a thousand people, maybe more, were surrounding the Quartermaster, forming a dense wall of bodies, layer upon layer.
While you could open the [Exchange List] and get what you wanted within 40 meters of the Quartermaster, the sheer number of people made it impossible.
At this rate, it would take at least an hour to squeeze through and make an exchange.
Su Yu chuckled and decided to leave temporarily, planning to return once the crowd thinned out.
But the players in the queue spotted him.
Several players waved and shouted, "Mr. Ke, are you here to exchange items too?"
Su Yu smiled and replied, "Yeah, but there are too many people. I'll come back later."
"That won't do!" The players quickly ran over and blocked his path. "Your time is so valuable, we can't let you waste it!"
Then they shouted to the crowd, "Mr. Ke is here! Make way for Mr. Ke! Let him exchange first!"
"What? Mr. Ke is here?" A ripple of excitement spread through the crowd, and many people turned to look at Su Yu.
The players in front of him made room, forming a narrow path that led straight to the 40-meter zone around the Quartermaster.
"This is too much, I don't want to be treated specially," Su Yu tried to refuse, not wanting to be a privileged person.
"This isn't special treatment, Mr. Ke," one of the players beside him said immediately. "You've made such a huge contribution to humanity, you deserve it!"
"Exactly! If you save time, you can capture another Psychic Spring and make an even greater contribution. Our small effort is nothing compared to that."
"That's right, Mr. Ke. Everyone, step aside, let him in! Don't let him down."
The surrounding players chimed in, urging him on.
"Alright, then." Seeing their enthusiasm, Su Yu didn't refuse anymore and walked along the narrow path toward the Quartermaster.
