Chapter 287: Dragon Tomb
Chapter 287: Dragon Tomb
Inside Dragon Isle.
Li Wu stared at the little girl-turned bone dragon, his eyes widening in surprise. After a while, he suddenly snapped out of his daze, as if remembering something crucial.
Without hesitation, he quickly pulled the little skeleton towards him.
"Aunt Moonshadow, can you turn this little skeleton into a girl too?" Li Wu asked eagerly.
Before Aunt Moonshadow could respond, Li Wu called over all the others, "And Little Goldfish, HahaHuman, Green Puppy, and even this pig! Turn them all into girls! Come on, do it for me!"
The thought of having an all-female team of summoned beasts thrilled Li Wu.
Unfortunately, Aunt Moonshadow couldn't fulfill his request.
She explained that transforming them into girls wasn't as simple as she wished; the creatures needed to meet specific conditions for such a transformation.
Clearly, the little skeleton and the others lacked the necessary qualities to become girls.
This left Li Wu feeling disappointed and dejected.
However, Dudu, standing nearby, overheard that the little skeleton couldn't be turned into a girl, and his clenched fist relaxed, a smile of relief spreading across his face.
"Oh well, if it can't be done, it can't be done. I'm not too bothered about having girls anyway," he said, trying to sound nonchalant.
As Li Wu spoke, he had already approached the little bone dragon girl.
He reached out and poked her chubby baby-like face, enjoying the soft, pleasant sensation. The little girl, infuriated, waved her arms and threatened Li Wu, "Don't touch me, you big bully!"
Her demeanor was fierce, but a single slap from Aunt Moonshadow quickly subdued her.
With an 'Ouch!', she cradled her reddened head and retreated to a corner, sobbing.
Li Wu found her reaction amusing and felt an urge to form a contract with her.
However, despite her appearance as a little girl, she was already a grown-up, having reached the Overlord rank. No matter how much Li Wu craved to contract her, it wouldn't be easy.
The optimal period for contracting had passed, and doing so now carried significant risks. If she resisted, Li Wu's soul could suffer severe damage.
Moreover, Li Wu's strength was far inferior to hers, and if she fought back, he might end up an idiot.
Even without resistance, successfully contracting her would be challenging.
However, Li Wu wasn't entirely without options for obtaining her.
"If the little skeleton's phone can be upgraded further, I might be able to acquire this little girl. Speaking of upgrades, there seems to be a tomb beneath us, and who knows what materials for upgrading might be down there."
Li Wu suddenly recalled that he hadn't explored the cave below yet.
He quickly pulled the little dragon girl over and asked about the situation below.
Upon hearing that Li Wu wanted to go down and needed her to guide them, the little girl panicked.
"Intyke won't go down, Intyke doesn't like it down there! Don't lock Intyke in there!" she pleaded.
The once-boastful dragon girl was now desperate not to return to the cave.
However, what mattered now was not her preferences but Li Wu's desires.
Evidently, Li Wu was keen on exploring, and so, not long after her arrival, he dragged the little dragon girl down into the cave.
As Li Wu had anticipated, the cave led to a vast underground chamber filled with countless dragon bones.
Judging by the remaining skeletons and their state of decay, this Dragon Tomb had likely been sealed for several decades.
Intyke's description confirmed Li Wu's suspicions. As far as she could remember, the place had always been shrouded in darkness.
The reason why the Dragon Clan had sealed this tomb remained a mystery to Li Wu, but it wasn't a concern for him.
What mattered was the opportunity to acquire valuable items from this unique experience.
Li Wu personally searched the entire Dragon Tomb, spending three whole hours combing through every inch of it.
His efforts were rewarded with numerous treasures.
Silver-ranked bones were abundant, and even gold-ranked bones were piled high.
Among them, the most remarkable item was...
Name: Dragon King's Skull
Quality: Legendary
Function: ???
Description: The head of a summoned beast with Overlord-level strength or higher.
The skull contains traces of domain power and is an exceptional material.
...
Li Wu couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of the two-meter-tall skull with its cracked maw.
"With these materials, upgrading the little skeleton's quality shouldn't be a problem," he said, grinning.
In addition to the abundance of dragon bones, Li Wu discovered other materials.
Among them, he was particularly intrigued by two plants: Dragon Blood Grass and Dragon Soul Grass.
Both plants were of gold-rank quality, and beneath the Dragon King's skull, Li Wu found two legendary Dragon Blood Grass and one legendary Dragon Soul Grass.
Name: Dragon Blood Grass
Quality: Legendary
Effect: Strengthens the body and...?
Description: Grows within the Dragon Tomb, absorbing the essence of dragons. There's a chance it can grant one the bloodline of dragons, but it is not recommended to consume directly.
...
Name: Dragon Soul Grass
Quality: Legendary
Effect: Strengthens the soul and...?
Description: Similar to Dragon Blood Grass, this herb can benefit humans, but only the truly foolish would dare to eat it raw. You're not that kind of fool, are you?
...
This was the first time Li Wu had seen plants or herbs of Legendary quality.
The value of such materials was immeasurable by points alone.
If one had to put a price on it, these herbs could fetch tens of millions of points or even more from those in need.
In the 1619 book, there was no mistake!
This was the world of Summoners.
The higher the rank, the greater the value.
However, items of Legendary quality and above were practically non-existent in the market.
At this level, transactions were mostly barter-based.
While this method was more primitive, it was still better than disrupting the already fragile economic framework by including them in the trading system.
Li Wu's mind was filled with these chaotic thoughts as he plucked the grass.
He collected the Dragon King's skull, which was surprisingly heavy. Fortunately, Li Wu had plenty of skeletons, or else he might not have been able to carry it.
In addition to the skull, Li Wu also gathered some Golden-ranked dragon bones, ensuring he had cleared out most of the Golden-ranked bones in the tomb before sealing it once again.
Of course, he didn't completely seal it.
Li Wu planned to have the school send people to thoroughly search the Dragon Tomb again.
After leaving the Dragon Tomb, Li Wu considered his special training on Dragon Island a great success.
In just over a month, not only had the strength of his summoned beasts skyrocketed, but he had also gained a Dragon Loli, discovered a Dragon Tomb, and found materials to enhance Little Skeleton's power. It was a perfect ending.
So, after bidding farewell to the group of foolish reindeer, Li Wu departed from Dragon Island.
On the reindeer's side, they were left bewildered as Li Wu and his group seemed to disappear in an instant.
Their small minds were filled with confusion.
They couldn't comprehend how Li Wu and his group had vanished.
But soon, they realized the bigger problem wasn't how Li Wu had disappeared; it was what they should do now that he was gone.
After following Li Wu for over a month, their fun and excitement were gone, and their days suddenly became boring.
Just as these foolish reindeer were feeling bored and unsure of what to do next, a group of summoned beasts that had been bullied by Li Wu surrounded them.
Apparently, they thought that since they couldn't defeat Li Wu, taking out their frustration on these foolish reindeer was a great idea.
Well, it was a great idea in theory.
The problem was that the summoned beasts doing the surrounding were rather weak.
Don't be fooled by the reindeer's foolishness; they were actually quite powerful, especially after spending a month with Li Wu.
Li Wu had a habit of training these reindeer in his free time, and under his guidance, their combat strength had increased significantly over the past month.
As a result, the summoned beasts surrounding them became easy prey for the reindeer, who pinned them to the ground.
Through this battle, the reindeer had an epiphany.
They realized something fun—since Li Wu wasn't around, they could take matters into their own hands.
Yes, they would follow in Li Wu's footsteps and dominate the entire Dragon Island's summoned beast community.
With this idea, the second generation of Dragon Island bullies made their debut.
However, compared to the first generation that had Moon Shadow by their side, the second generation would likely find it much more challenging to dominate...
...
On Li Wu's side, he had a new task at hand—improving Little Skeleton's quality.
As Li Wu's initial summoned beast, Little Skeleton had gone from ordinary to Silver rank in just over a year.
Such an improvement was unimaginable for others, but Li Wu still felt it wasn't enough.
Even Little Skeleton's subordinates had reached Silver rank, so it was only fitting that their leader should be stronger.
With the materials obtained from Dragon Island, Li Wu was ready to enhance Little Skeleton's quality and upgrade his phone.
Ideally, he wanted to complete this enhancement before the University League.
If successful, Little Skeleton might even be able to recruit the Dragon Loli, Intiksis, as a subordinate.
With a Lord Rank subordinate, Li Wu could practically coast through the University League.
