Chapter 285: The Final Battle in Auron City (Part 8) - A Godly Power Emerges!
Chapter 285: The Final Battle in Auron City (Part 8) - A Godly Power Emerges!
The Village Chief stood smiling in the village square, just as he always did.
Jenny held a mirror in her hand, as if she were retouching her makeup.
Beric the Woodsman carried a bundle of firewood on his shoulder and a hatchet in his belt, as if he had just returned from chopping wood in the mountains.
They were suddenly summoned, and the sight of the high-ranking powerhouses on the screen left them momentarily stunned.
However, upon seeing Princess Alette and the two Dukes, they immediately understood where they were.
"Village Chief," Su Yu began, wanting to explain.
But the Village Chief waved his hand to cut him off. "No need for explanations, we know what to do."
Then, their eyes locked onto the orc high priest and the orc sword saint in the crowd, and they spoke in unison, their voices filled with intense anger: "Orcs?!"
This anger stemmed from deep-seated memories that were instantly awakened.
To understand this, we need to go back to their true forms—Berenina Tidal, Kevin Gorse, and Bard.
...
A thousand years ago, the orcs invaded and conquered most of the human world, reducing humans to slaves, with the more fortunate ones being second-class citizens.
It wasn't until Berenina's generation rose to power, with Berenina Tidal, Kevin Gorse, and Bard all breaking through to the Eighth Rank, that they were able to drive the orcs completely off human lands and rebuild their nation from the ruins.
However, a thousand years have passed, and the new generation of humans has forgotten that war, even starting to admire the orc culture of "survival of the fittest" and "jungle law."
But for veterans like Berenina, this was a deep-seated hatred, a pain and humiliation that would never be forgotten.
So, seeing the orcs return to human lands, and clearly in league with humans to harm their own kind, reawakened the buried pain and anger in their hearts!
The Village Chief, Beric, and Jenny's eyes simultaneously emitted a brilliant blue light, and their figures began to merge, overlapping and fusing together!
As they overlapped, a blinding blue light burst from the center of their forms, a light a hundred times brighter than the sun, carrying intense heat.
Su Yu, being too close, felt as if he was about to be scorched and quickly moved away, activating his "Lightning Shield" for protection.
The other high-ranking powerhouses in the sky also paused, each deploying their defensive measures to withstand the blue light, while rapidly assessing how to handle the situation.
Without a doubt, the appearance of the Village Chief and his companions was the biggest variable of the day, and from the intensity of the blue light, this variable was far more than just three Seventh-Rank powerhouses!
Time ticked by, and the area where the Village Chief and his companions stood continued to emit a dazzling blue light.
Even the Star Cat and the Dragon King, the most powerful and longest-lived beings, could not see what was happening at the center of the blue light, and could only wait with serious expressions.
Alette panted lightly, recovering from the excessive use of magic. She wanted to ask Su Yu what was happening, but the intense blue light affected her perception, and she couldn't immediately locate him.
After about five minutes, the blue light finally weakened and gradually dissipated.
When the blue light completely faded, the Village Chief, Beric, and Jenny were nowhere to be seen. In their place stood a young woman with pale blue skin, pale blue hair, and pale blue eyes.
The young woman looked at Tina and smiled, a smile that seemed out of place with her youthful appearance.
When Su Yu first laid eyes on the woman, he felt a sense of familiarity.
Now, seeing her smile at Tina, Su Yu instantly realized: this woman's appearance was almost identical to Tina's! Not only did their facial features and smiles match, but their overall demeanor was nearly the same as well. The only differences were their hair and skin color; otherwise, they could have been twins!
The Dragon King Bahamut, who had seen the most, was utterly shocked when he saw this woman. His pupils dilated, and his flight became unsteady.
"Be... Belnina Tides? Are you really Belnina Tides? But you were supposed to be dead?!" the Dragon King exclaimed urgently.
"What... Bellina Tides?" The high-ranking warriors present were all deeply shaken!
Especially the two dukes, who were trembling violently in fear.
The timing of the two dukes' rebellion was impeccable.
Fifty years ago, the Wind Chime Kingdom's divine-level strongman, Bade, accidentally discovered the "Radiant New World," a vast and extraordinary realm filled with countless treasures.
Since the main world had been at peace for a long time, all but two divine-level deep-sea beasts in the deep ocean, the other ten divine-level strongmen ventured into the "Radiant New World" to explore.
However, after ten years of exploration, they suddenly found that they could no longer return to their physical forms in the main world! The reason for this remains a mystery to this day.
To date, not a single divine-level strongman has returned to the main world, and it's possible they never will!
When the tigers are away, the monkeys will play king.
With the divine-level strongmen unable to return, the ambitions of the peak seventh-rank strongmen could no longer be contained.
The two dukes seized this opportunity to launch a rebellion. They are now on the verge of wiping out the royal family and taking control of the entire empire.
...
But with Belnina Tides' sudden appearance, the situation has taken a dramatic turn!
Her presence has completely shattered the balance.
If we were to quantify their combat strength, a newly ascended eighth-rank divine-level strongman's power would be roughly 3.3 times that of Siv's. And for someone like Belnina Tides, who has been a divine-level strongman for over a thousand years, no one knows just how far she has advanced on that path.
To put it bluntly, all the strongmen present, even if they worked together, might not stand a chance against her!
Thus, none of the strongmen present dared to act rashly, especially the rebels, whose faces turned ashen as they frantically tried to come up with a plan.
Belnina Tides, however, paid them no mind. Instead, she kindly beckoned Tina with a wave of her hand: "Tina, come here."
Tina glanced at Su Yu, seeking his approval. With a reassuring nod from him, she hesitantly flew over to Belnina and bowed deeply: "Ancestor, I never thought I'd see you here. Did you come back to life?"
"Not exactly, Tina," Belnina Tides replied, looking at her descendant with satisfaction. "I've only managed to awaken a small portion of my consciousness, and my current state can't be maintained for long. I'll use this opportunity to pass on my legacy to you."
With that, she pointed a finger, and a pale blue light shot out from her fingertip, entering Tina's forehead.
Tina felt an overwhelming amount of knowledge flood her mind.
The sheer volume of knowledge was so vast that it felt like trying to pour the ocean into a small pond—it simply couldn't be contained.
Tina couldn't hold on for more than a few seconds before her eyes rolled back, and she fell unconscious.
