Chapter 282: The Final Battle of Oran City (Part 5) - Elves and Beastfolk
Chapter 282: The Final Battle of Oran City (Part 5) - Elves and Beastfolk
The arrival of a dozen high-tier powerhouses caused the imperial and rebel forces to cease their fighting, reorganizing into two opposing groups.
From Tina's perspective, many of the surrounding powerhouses, though not fallen, had suffered significant injuries. Some were bloodied and torn, others half-frozen, and a few were shrouded in dark, curse-like auras.
Tina, however, had remained unscathed during the battle, her condition intact. She took out a pale blue bandage from her spatial ring, ready to assist her injured comrades.
At this moment, Princess Alissa descended from the highest point in the sky, hovering at the forefront of their formation.
Alissa was panting heavily, clearly exhausted. Her left calf was drenched in blood, bearing a deep, bone-visible wound. This clearly indicated that her battle with Turian had not been favorable.
In terms of raw power, Alissa and Turian were evenly matched. If she entered her "Beyana Warrior" state, she could even have the upper hand. However, in terms of combat experience, Alissa was far behind Turian.
Turian was a seasoned, seventh-rank peak powerhouse, having been tempered through countless battles. He had extensive experience fighting against peers, including being thoroughly dominated by Xivan. Alissa, on the other hand, had been forcibly elevated by her ancestors and lacked any high-tier combat experience.
As a result, just half an hour into the battle, Alissa was already wounded, while Turian remained unscathed.
Seeing Alissa's leg wound, Tina quickly flew over to her. Upon reaching a slightly lower position, Tina used the pale blue bandage to wrap Alissa's wound. "Princess, this is a special bandage my father gave me. You'll heal in no time."
"Thank you, Tina." Feeling the rich water elemental energy from the bandage, Alissa's gaze softened towards Tina.
Indeed, apart from being her rival, they had no other conflicts.
However, Alissa didn't have time to chat. After thanking Tina, she turned her burning gaze towards the arriving high-tier powerhouses. "Michelle, you're here!"
The group of high-tier powerhouses was led by Michelle Dranque, the Lady of Pearl City, and included three sixth-rank and thirteen fifth-rank powerhouses.
"Princess, I'm here!" Michelle chuckled lightly.
Then, she led her subordinates toward Lantilus. "Duke Lantilus, are you welcoming us?"
"Of course, dear Michelle." Lantilus smiled warmly, welcoming Michelle.
Alissa's expression darkened. "Michelle, when my nemesis said you betrayed me, I didn't believe it. Now, it seems she was right from the start!"
"Oh, my dear Princess, this isn't betrayal." Michelle wagged her finger with a smile. "I'm leading the people of Pearl City to resist the tyranny of the royal family. This is a just cause! How can it be called betrayal to fight for justice?"
She then scanned the area around Alissa, adding, "Speaking of your nemesis, where is that little boyfriend of yours? Did he run away at the last minute? Men are unreliable, indeed. How about becoming my servant after you're captured?"
Alissa knew Michelle was trying to provoke her. She wouldn't fall for it and instead said coldly, "Fortunately, my nemesis warned me about your betrayal in advance, allowing me to successfully invite the Elven Regent King."
After speaking, Alyssa turned and shouted loudly toward the direction of Aurean City, "Your Highness, Regent, it's time for you to make your entrance!"
"Very well."
With the Regent's booming voice, a line of twelve elves ascended from the city.
Among these twelve, aside from the Regent who was at the peak of the seventh tier, there was another seventh-tier elf, and the rest were sixth-tier Archmages, mostly consisting of archers, druids, and assassins.
The Regent's appearance instantly tipped the balance of power on the battlefield.
Adding a peak seventh-tier warrior to the royal side, while the rebels lacked a counterpart of equal strength, made it almost certain that Princess Alyssa would easily win this battle if no new seventh-tier rebels joined the fray.
However, Dukes Lantis and Anzu Seifer showed no signs of panic.
Duke Anzu Seifer bowed respectfully to the Regent and said, "Your Highness, Regent, it is a great honor to see you."
Then he turned to Alyssa, "Your Highness, Princess, since Michel knew about your hidden move and has joined our side, how could we not be prepared for your Highness's arrival?"
Anzu Seifer calmly turned and called out to his own camp, "High Priest Grizzel, Bloodthroat Sword Saint Kogul, and our friends from the Rayne Empire and Windchime Empire, it's time to join the battle!"
"Of course."
"Of course."
The responses echoed from the camp, and soon, a large group of powerful figures rose into the air. Alyssa roughly counted about fifty of them!
Among these fifty, two were top-tier warriors from the Beast Kingdom—High Priest Grizzel and Bloodthroat Sword Saint Kogul.
Both were 83rd-level warriors, their combat strength on par with Madeleine, who had self-destructed in Forest City.
Additionally, there were over twenty warriors from the Rayne Empire, led by the Thunder God, who had once helped Su Yu. The Thunder God was also 83rd level, matching the two Beast Kingdom warriors. Behind him were over twenty more warriors, five of whom were sixth-tier, and the rest were fifth-tier.
The remaining thirty-odd warriors were from the Windchime Empire, led by Prince Garen IV of Demacia. Among them were two seventh-tier warriors, and the rest were fifth or sixth-tier.
The appearance of these powerful figures once again shifted the balance of power. Five seventh-tier warriors were far too many for the Regent to handle on his own.
Regent Legolas's face paled.
Alyssa's eyes blazed with fury, "Anzu Seifer, Lantis! How dare you ally with the Beastmen! Have you forgotten the suffering they have inflicted upon humanity?"
The historical enmity between humans and Beastmen was deep and irreconcilable.
She couldn't believe that the two dukes would go so far as to bring in the Beastmen to fight against her!
"Of course, I haven't forgotten," Lantis shrugged indifferently.
"But these two are from the Bloodthroat Clan, which has always been closer to humans. Besides, compared to the suffering the Beastmen have caused, the suffering your royal family has inflicted on the people is even greater! Enough talk, today marks the end of your royal family!"
The two dukes joined the fifty-odd high-tier warriors, each drawing their weapons and closing in on Princess Alyssa and the elves. The battle was about to begin!
